What surprised me the most was that the house is not a semi but an end of terrace. I think I've never seen a 30s terraced house. Interesting.
I’ve lived here in the UK for almost 10 years and yet don’t quite understand these differences. Could you share more? I find it so fascinating.

Hi everyone! First time posting here. I love Brittany and her style, but I've just watched her latest vlog with the house tour, and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. I knew the house was small and the rooms were not very spacious, but with all the massive furniture, they looked just tiny. It seems that the interior style Brittany goes for — large tables and shelves, statement leather chairs, lots of decor — is suited better for bigger spaces. For example, the white couch looked great in her apartment where she lived during the first covid lockdown. But in this house, it barely fits the room.

I hope it is still a work in progress, and when the rooms are finished, with the proper curtains and less clutter, it all will make more sense.
Agree! i am also shocked at the amount of stuff they have that clearly doesn't fit in the house. It is kind of gross to see tbh.

For anyone with dry eyes (me too!) go to your optician for diagnosis, I do hot compresses on my eyes, take fish oil and use lubricating eyedrops to help as per my optician. Modern living makes your eyes dry!! and also the oil glands for my eyes are not very smooooooth and don't flow as they should (hence the fish oil). And feel free to follow these tips too Brittany ;)

Glad to know they both had to be present staring at the coffee machine to make this story. Good grief what a life! 😆

She has previously mentioned she has therapy. I agree with @snarkvark I don't think it's fair to victimise her for crying and having mental health struggles. Yes, she maybe gaining sympathy but on the other hand it may also help that one person that is also struggling and find it relatable. Who knows. Something has obviously happened to her in the past that has bought up certain fears.

[…]

Struggling relatable? These days I feel like I’m the only one out there who does not have any mental health issues and anxiety and what not. All youtubers seem to have all these problems. My life is no fairytale, but what I would personally find relatable is just people who don’t take it all so seriously and are just overall happy, even though things aren’t always going well in love life or career.

Wishing all the best to all of those out here struggling, but it seems like you’d have a decent choice of influencers to chose from if you would want to find people going through similar things.

The photos aren't very good - is that a UK/US standard difference? Here in the US you would never take listing photos with for example bathroom products or a random shoe on the floor visible like that.
Definitely not the standard here either! Usually the listing photos look so good that going to a viewing you can expect the property itself to be by a good 20% less impressive and more run down.

Been said too many times but she's exhausting. In her latest video she's explaining the reason behind each item going on Vestiaire and no one's looking at you Brittany and going 'ooh that jacket is sitting slightly too long on you, needs to be tailored shorter'. Why does she think like this?

She may not spend that much on her housing but based on her spending on fashion, furniture, holidays she must be earning a lot. I still think she’s probably on 200-300k. I reckon Lizzy Hadfield makes more like 500k. Brands pay A LOT for influencers - it’s the most effective way to market their products.

I know Dean has done work with the Gallery and they’re both obviously friends with the owner. I guess it makes sense for them to get Brittany in to go the social media work as she’s already in that industry. It’s not that big a gallery so not sure how much work she is actually doing.

I haven’t really washed her vlogs recently but if they’re getting a new house I’ll be interested in what their house is worth now and also what they’ve bought & what they do to it. Tbh I think the two of them doing renovations is when Brittany is at her most interesting

I can't really tell why but her New York vlog had a different and a bit weird atmosphere. Maybe because of that Klaudia person
Totally agree. Seemed like Britt was dragging around after Klaudia while she got her brows/lashes done, and then felt obliged to have a facial massage. Very un-her things to do, so she retreated to drab little coffee shops on her own (much more her vibe 😂)
Her and Klaudia seem like chalk and cheese?

Good on her. I know it's a little thing and she took it down but agree with EllsBellsWells that she was almost certainly threatened to do so. Estee Lauder is absolutely gargantuan and have a whole team of lawyers. No match for BB if she wants to continue getting paid to vlog beauty products.

Which is total crap but unfortunately the reality.

As much as I criticize her, I empathize here and at least she tried to do the right thing. It might have been somewhat "see, I'm not like other influencers" (a Brittney thing) but I don't really mind, as long as she takes some sort of honest stand. Her criticism will have an affect. Rose Inc. is unlikely to continue doing this, at least not overtly and their PR team has a black mark against them, for sure got their hands slapped.
Agreed, good for her for standing up on this

She rented the flat.
She will make a lot of money but I don’t think it’s more than 200k.
She has tax to pay on that.

Ugh so blah. It was outrageously boring. I wish she'd shown something of the places she was visiting! The dry eye talk - for a moment I was into it, I think we've all had dry eyes at some point. But there was no insights, just someone complaining about their eyes - no insights or guidance based on seeing a specialist. I just think, wtf is she on about half the time.
Let’s just brace ourselves for when she hits menopause and there are other dry body parts to discuss.

This video is the one in which Hamish Bowles discusses McCardell and American fashion history in general, including the 90s and minimalism - I linked a different one by mistake (part of his VintageBowles series which is also good).

i think exactly this when i see her outfits bc she insists on wearing shit too long and looks like a toddler dressed in her parents' clothes 🤡
