I wonder if Brittany will put up a separate video in a week or so alluding to the brouhaha without naming the brand etc? Or if she will steer clear of the whole thing. Seeing the positive comments on here might encourage her to speak out about shady influencer culture in more detail 🤔

EDIT: Oh, just saw that screen shot. "Legal reasons" - yikes!

Did she bring up misogyny somwhere? I'm confused but also didn't watch her last two videos.
She did - she vaguely said that some of the comments to her videos were misogynistic, referring to how unflattering certain things were on her and she didn't care, she has a thick skin (!) but she wants to protect others she interacts with that might also be sensitive to such comments, that she doesn't want to give space to them on her channel etc...

It was all a bit of a waffle (no one is surprised here).

An example of the cliche that when people say they aren't something they generally are that very thing - i.e. thick skin, don't care = thin skin, very much care.

I don't think anyone disputes not entertaining trolls. However, she gets riled by the most benign criticism.

Been said too many times but she's exhausting. In her latest video she's explaining the reason behind each item going on Vestiaire and no one's looking at you Brittany and going 'ooh that jacket is sitting slightly too long on you, needs to be tailored shorter'. Why does she think like this?
To be fair to her I think WAY too much about this kind of thing, sometimes I wonder how I have the space to hold down a busy job with these kinds of thoughts 😂 I do think the length is a short girl problem ( re: trousers, jackets)it’s the constant need to not look too swamped? I’m also a bigger girl so lengths are also crucial as we have to work harder with our clothes

So Anna Newton likes to dress like a monk whilst Brittany is seeking inspiration from the priesthood

Which member of the clergy will provide the uk minimalism fashion influencer community styling inspiration next?

Don't buy what you don't need: cut to Brit buying more art books for the sake of it.
and all those clothes in her 'wardrobe wishlist' that is not a haul (but totally is)

the audacity to tell people to stop buying more clothes than you need and to wear them more often while BB buys dozens of new items every year!

Ugh so blah. It was outrageously boring. I wish she'd shown something of the places she was visiting! The dry eye talk - for a moment I was into it, I think we've all had dry eyes at some point. But there was no insights, just someone complaining about their eyes - no insights or guidance based on seeing a specialist. I just think, wtf is she on about half the time.

like she's trying so hard to construct a sentence or organise her thoughts.
like she's trying too hard to appear sophisticated and knowledgeable, but she's not

Yay a £305 polyester dress!
this is why I can't take anything she does seriously. she bangs on about quality clothing and is always trying so hard to appear better than everyoen else because she buys independent high-end designer brands. yet here she is shilling polyester dresses because they fit her aesthetic and she can make money off the affiliate links.

she thinks she's better than other infleuncers because she focuses on "high end" brands, which she thinks automatically makes them better quality. you're still wearing polyester, BB!

I can’t imagine how the curtains will hang across those shaped windows, even sheer curtains once pushed back will block some light. I don’t think they’re needed at the back unless they’re really overlooked.

Did they not measure that telly?

Who wants to donate to Patreon so she can buy more really expensive clothes that most of us wouldn’t even think about being able to spend money on?
I can't wait to see how she justifies a patreon. whatever content shes going to provide it better be good. most people set up patreons because they don't earn much from the videos/posts they put out and it's a way for people to support them. BB doesn't need any more money, she barely puts out good content and most of it is ads paid handsomly for by brands - why exactly does she think it's a good idea to ask her followers for more moeny? it's not like she provides in-depth reviews or advice. she is literally a lifestyle vlogger who happens to like fashion. she has very little in terms of knowledge to share with her audience. it just haul after haul except she refuses to call them that.

To be fair, Serious Mountain Clothing does cost about that (although it's rarely white) - not that I think Brittany's is actually designed for the real wilds of the great outdoors.

She seems very taken with the studio she's joined - mentions it in all her videos and in the Malene Birger thing for nearly every outfit she tried on. I wonder whether her co-working colleagues have had any influence on the way she feels about herself and her source of income? Like she says, she works with creatives and some very talented people - what is their take on influencers and the like? Do they silently give off the same opinions we voice on here about them all? Or do they embrace her? She comes over as a bit of a fangirl when she's talking about her shared workspace - personally I think she feels like she's stood on the outer circle there looking in and that might have fuelled the change. Patreon sounds cooler than YouTube to her maybe
a very good point - i agree!

The look on BB's face when she mentioned that 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen was open to the public, no INVITE required 😂.

I really enjoyed her Christmas vlog, I would liked to have seen more of what she actually saw/did in each of those places. I also loved the black dress she wore with the large bow.

She could have completely skipped the first 5 minutes of privilege explaining etc etc. An #everyhotelisgifted would have covered it. I do wonder what she is hoping to achieve by saying all of that at the start. If she wants to be truly transparent she could list everything that is gifted in her videos (regardless of when it was gifted) and the price. Once when I was doom scrolling I searched the price for everything in one Instagram pic and it was RIDICULOUS. You’d need to be earning waaaaaaaaaaay above the UK average to keep up with these influencers.

Heads-up: Rhode Beauty is coming to the UK and this influencer-loving PR has won the account. So expect to see Brittany, Lizzy, Sali, Lucy Williams and co all raving about how 'they've always loved the brand' (even though it's only been around for 5 minutes) any moment now! 😂

The Mango stuff is horrible. Cheap materials - all the trenches look like they are made from polyester - and not stylish at all. I really don’t get why you would partner with a cheap fast fashion brand apart from the money.

Brittany is doing a YouTube live as we speak. I am astonished, I imagine this is very nerve wracking for her. No edits no stitching 100% live. I have to say, 👏🏾 good for her!

Back to the negative stuff, her first pick is a boring bag, she already owns 2 similar bags 🙄
I started watching until the pajama pants, which *ARE* pajama pants, and I was like, nope, I need to get off the internet 😂 Also, she was so close to the camera when coming to the front she had to keep bending down to stay in screen - wondering if FarFetch did that? Are they filming it on a laptop? But, yes, I was kinda proud of her all the same. Getting out of her do it 100 times over, perfectionist comfort zone.

She looks like she’s wearing a ghillie suit. I have a feeling this looks really bad in person. She’s too slight for all that fabric, and the the pant legs are dragging on the ground. Also, is the middle puckering and that’s why it looks like you can see her belly button?
