Has any one read the CJ Sansom Tudor series? I think the first is called Dissolution. I was disappointed with Wolf Hall but was so excited about a Tudor series so thinking this one might be a better read.

These sound right up my mums street! Have popped them in my basket for her for Xmas

I read this this week! also just finished Susan Lewis “I have something to tell you” and my one true north by Milly Johnson, and the wedding thief, which was a random library borrow.

and possibly the worst author I’ve ever read, Susan Mallory with the Christmas wedding guest… something or other gosh it was painful.

So finished Daisy Jones finally, didn’t enjoy it, very over hyped, wasn’t the worse book ever but it was just bland in places and the characters was mostly irritating, I dunno maybe it was the transcript format, I hope her next two books are better.

I seriously don’t know how people can read 4 books on the go I struggle with one.

I have only heard them dramatised on Radio 4 (well worth a listen - probably still on BBC Sounds) and they were very good. Interesting plots and atmospheric.

They are brilliant and you've reminded me I need to read the latest which is on my tbr for ages.

I loved The Last House on Needless Street, I really enjoyed the cats narrative. It's certainly different and I get why not everyone would enjoy it, bit I found it compelling. I'd even go so far as to say its my favourite book this year so far.

Ok I couldn't get into the arrest or Thursday murder club so I returned the books to the library. I thought I might as well return them and can always give them another go in future.
3 of my on hold books were available so for the next 3 weeks I have:

The coven by Lizzie Fry
and The glass hotel by Emily St. John Mandel

I loved The Last House on Needless Street, I really enjoyed the cats narrative. It's certainly different and I get why not everyone would enjoy it, bit I found it compelling. I'd even go so far as to say its my favourite book this year so far.

I really enjoyed it too. It’s one of the books that I can actually remember most of the plot too now months later. It’s odd and got me confused at parts but I did really enjoy it.

I’m reading ‘the 100 year old man who climbed out a window’ just now and am about 100 pages in. It’s had mixed reviews on good reads but had been an easy enough read so far

It wasn't bad but wore me down a bit in the end.
