This looks excellent! Added to my to purchase list! I’ve just ordered this one…I just saw that this book is on Kindle 99p. I think every woman should read it. It is devastating, frustrating and all our healthcare experiences rolled into one.
Unwell Women, A Journey Through Medicine and Myth in a Man-Made World
that sounds amazing!! Off to goggle the page turner! Would love to cocooned and read at the same timeI, through sheer laziness might I say, have been using a kindle holder and kindle page turner.
Picture this, your anonymous friend Elle wrapped up in a blanket cocoon not having to either hold her kindle nor turn the pages.
I wouldn't have bought this for myself but I was gifted it but someone who knew i wanted it.
If you haven't seen such a thing, the page turner clips onto your kindle and manually clicks the page when you press the button of your special handhold device.
Yes! I noticed it particularly in January when I read Great Circle. It’s a chunky book anyway and quite slow paced, plus I was sick for a couple of weeks and my usual bedtime reading took a hit so it took a while to get through. I loved the book and really was enjoying it but I also found myself getting annoyed at how long it was taking to finish purely because I knew it was going to put me behind on reading targets - even though these are targets I set myself and don’t share with anyone else so they’re completely irrelevant really! It’s crazy when you think about it!Oh this is interesting a strategy! I do think my book tracking habits have made me start to gamify reading and it takes some of the pleasure out of it when I feel under pressure to read to a certain schedule etc to reach targets.
Same here. The only books I’ve got in the house that are mine are ones I got for the birthday and Christmas before I got my Kindle. Not touched them since.I haven’t read a single physical book since I got my kindle last year 🫣 never thought I’d use it as much as I do!
I’m the same. My husband falls asleep so much quicker than I do and I’d get no books read without a Kindle. I also spent between 1 and 3 hours on my son’s floor every night settling him back to sleep and I read so much with my Kindle under his bed.I also like the kindle cause I can read it with the lights off if my boyfriend wants to sleep
i have books that just appear in my house and i can’t remember how they got there so i feel youI went through BorrowBox and Libby last weekend, adding a few books that I must have seen and liked the look of. Can’t even remember how they made it onto my wish list in the first place, but I’ve had to make a list in order of when they’re due so I make time to read them
Anyone else have books just appear and can’t remember how they got on there?!
if it’s ok I might join in with the collective reading too. I’ll even do some homework on those you've covered alreadyIt’s this one. We’ll be choosing another book within the next week

I love it when people suggest books on here and I go to Amazon to see if they are, by any small chance, 0.99p, and I find that I already own them. Yes, saves me spending more 0.99ps on books to add to my ever growing TBR listThank you to whomever recommending “Secrets of Strangers” very much enjoyed it and a 5 stars from me. So sad though![]()
