Me too! This thread is the reason my TBR keeps getting longer and longer.
I don't mind though
this thread has reignited my love for reading! I'm currently on the first of the Seven Sisters series by Lucinda Riley which I am loving so far I may have a snow day today 
hopefully I can finish The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and get onto The Housemaid's Secret

just finished ‘instructions for a heatwave’ by Maggie o farrell (audiobook)
i loved the language and the writing and loved the family theme, i’m a sucker for historical fiction especially Irish themedand family stuff so this was right up my street.
I think if you like tresspasses you’d quite enjoy this as well, in the sense that nothing really happens but things happen if that makes sense.

i love maggie o’farrell so much (imo one of our greatest living female novelists!) - her writing style is just amazing and no one really breaks down family dynamics like she does.Tresspass is such a lovely book.

Oh no! I hate lending books to anyone for this reason; on one keeps them as nice as me. I once lent one of my all time favourite books to a new friend and she lent it to someone else and IT GOT LOST. I had to repurchase, I was so cross.I lent Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow to a colleague and there is a tea or coffee stain on the front cover. I’m heartbroken as it’s my favourite cover ever and I paid full price in Waterstones for the hardback

As someone who has never read an Agatha Christie, which is your fave? I feel like I need to put this right! I have watched many a Poirot and Miss Marple though (and enjoyed them)
My personal preference for Agatha are the Poirots: Death on the Nile is my favourite. I love Poirot, not so keen on Miss Marple. Some which are flawed are still enjoyable (as Poirot is such a great character) such as Murder in Mesopotamia.
Her most famous two are And Then There Were None and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. Both deserve the hype and are probably the most influential murder mysteries of all time.
I also like Crooked House, The Body in the Library, The Mirror Crackd from Side to Side.
I am an Agatha fan too and I would start with Murder on the Orient Express or Peril at End House, those are my personal faves. You really can't go wrong with any of her books. I think most of my favourite authors have been mentioned, so I’m just going to add Beatrix Potter to the list. I have such happy memories of reading about Peter Rabbits and Mrs Tiggywinkle when I was little with my parents.
