So after my comment the other day about being embarrassed about the constant 99p payments from my bank account, I got smart and purchased a £10 Amazon gift card and used that for my books, now only Amazon are aware of my obsession of buying books - I used the whole gift card in one go on 99p books 🤣

Hi everyone, has anyone read Paper Palace? Thinking of downloading today
There was quite a bit of chat about The Paper Palace a couple of threads ago. Don’t know if you can type it into the search and try and find it?

Personally I loved it, it was one of my favourite reads last year, but I remember there being some mixed views especially about the end (no spoilers!)!

I've just finished One Last Secret by Adele Parks and I did enjoy it, it just felt too easy to guess what would happen towards the end...

It did get me out of my Feb reading slump though!

Thanks! I'll have a look. It's been on my list for ages and I got a kindle code for 40% off today.

I have some questions for kindle unlimited users, having spotted that loads of my kindle wishlist are on there:

1. How long do books stay on there? If I get the book and download it, do I have to read it before it 'runs out' or can I keep it?
2. Were someone....not me....to download the books onto my kindle, switch to airplane mode, and cancel KU...would they remain.

They would. Someone can rest in the knowledge in aeroplane mode the books stay

I’ve had a 40% today as well! Off the second in the My Name Is Lucy Barton series which is useful as I’ve read the first and already own the third. Those pesky Amazon bots know what they’re doing! 😂

We read The Paper Palace as our June 2022 book club pick on here and there was lots of chatter about it there.

The conversation started here, everything important is behind spoilers.

Thanks so much I'll have a look. Just finishing The Guest List by Lucy Foley. Have enjoyed it, can imagine it as a TV adaption as it's very atmospheric if that makes sense!

Right, I know I’m chatting a lot about Cassandra Clare’s books but they’re just so damn confusing! WHY ARE THERE SO MANY OF THEM?! I’m now seeing people online who say that The Infernal Devices series is better than The Mortal Instruments. I’m so confused 😅😅 where do I start with her books????? EDIT: I do have City of Bones, so I’m thinking I should just start there, BUT The Infernal Devices is a prequel series, so should they technically be read first?

Mine stay until I return them! But there is a limit, not sure how many books maybe 20, that you can borrow. If it's in airplane mode they won't disappear but you wouldn't be able to go back on WiFi to get any new books you had ordered without KU disappearing if you cancelled!
