For someone who reads a lot, I really don’t have any favourite book quotes which is bad when you think about it 😂😂

I adore that quote. When im down i always try to keep it in mind!
It’s funny cause shortly after getting it (a loooong time ago) I went through a really hard time. I was diagnosed with PTSD & remembering this sometimes helped me during the most difficult days.

I can never remember any either. I’m not one to add post it notes to books or write down quotes, I just read the story on move on. I wish I had a better memory or even the thoughts to actively remember quotes but I never do.

I have a child free morning so I'm going back to bed with my current read, Before My Actual Heart Breaks. Then I'm going to watch the first episode of Daisy Jones and the Six. A vast amount of chocolate will also be consumed 🥰 Just thought y'all might appreciate this post.

speaking of favourite quotes, my favourite is from a john green book 😅 i was young don't judge! :ROFLMAO:

but i still love the quote:

“I wanted so badly to lie down next to her on the couch, to wrap my arms around her and sleep. Not duck, like in those movies. Not even have sex. Just sleep together in the most innocent sense of the phrase. But I lacked the courage and she had a boyfriend and I was gawky and she was gorgeous and I was hopelessly boring and she was endlessly fascinating. So I walked back to my room and collapsed on the bottom bunk, thinking that if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was hurricane.”

I really loved the last bit of Betty and it made me cry in the end
It has definitely picked up but I wont be rating it higher than 3 stars. A book as long as it is cant take 70% of the book to get good. Which is a shame.

Well done you for being so determined to see it through to the end. Full admiration x I DNF at around 75% :(
It put me in a slump for February so Im just determined to get through it now. It has annoyed me 🤣🙈

I put my headphones in at work this morning and listened to my first audiobook! It was TJR - Evidence of an Affair, it was only an hour and 15 so kept my attention whist also doing some reports lol. It was short and sweet, heartbreaking in some areas yet the ending was heart warming. A lot of emotions for an hour!

Ah Mr Biscuits is not a fan of Sex/Life. The first episode where they're caught shagging on her husband's boss's front lawn was a hard no for him 😂 But I may dip into it on the rare evenings I get Netflix to myself.

I'm 70 pages into Before My Actual Heart Breaks and I *know* it's going to make me cry and love it.

Has anyone read Cecelia Ahern books? I’ve heard of her but never read any of her work. Got an advance copy of In a Thousand Different Ways and I’m really enjoying it so far!

Mr Caffeine would never watch it either 🤣🤣 its absolute trash but was so easy to watch 😁

He only watches Star Wars and Star Wars related stuff and big hitters like GOT/The Last Of Us. Not a thing we watch together 🙈 he watches, I read.

I enjoy Cecelia Ahern. I haven't read much of her newer stuff as I prefer thrillers now. But her books are always very well written and not a slog.

I think I’ve read most of them. I always enjoy them when I do read them. They make you think. I particularly looked flawed and perfect.

I love how active this thread has become.

since finishing Boys Don't Cry (which I really recommend) yesterday I haven't picked up a new book, still feeling a bit hung up over that one. Might go for a fast paced thrilled next to change it up a bit. -The Puppet Show by M.W. Craven. Has anyone read that one?

Wait, I think we're married to the same man 😆 He's very much a night owl and been watching The Last of Us when I go to bed at 9pm.

We do try and watch a box set on Saturday nights and very recently dipped our toes into Happy Valley (which is excellent). And we do enjoy The Apprentice for the cringe factor. But it is rare that our TV tastes overlap.

Don't even ask me about what he reads (answer is he doesn't).
