SAME! Do you have any favourites? Mine are Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and The Cat Returns
I haven't watched them for a while but Kiki's Delivery Service & Howl's Moving Castle are definitely some of my favourites too. Fairly sure there are a lot of them on Netflix so that might be my Sunday comfort viewing. 🙂

i LOVE kiki’s delivery service! 😭

howl’s moving castle is a rare one where i prefer the dubbed version because i think christian bale is so wonderful in it. they’re such beautiful films.

i finished re-reading the 3rd harry potter book, ohhh i flew through the last part, it's my favourite one, i know every detail that happens but i still couldn't put it down 😂

to take a break from the re-read, i'm starting the housemaid tonight since everyone seems to love it!
I'm re-listening to the audiobooks when I'm going to sleep. I'm on chamber of secrets which is my least favourite. It also scares me at night, I'm a child really 😂

haha i think i have to agree with you on the chamber of secrets being my least favourite! although gilderoy lockhart is a big plus in it ⭐🌟💫✨

i've started the housemaid and it seems like the kind of book i won't be able to stop thinking about!

Going back to the comments about re-reading/listening to books, what books (if any) do you re-read? And how often?

Every year without fail I reread The Remains of the Day and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I have a feeling dear Sebastian 😍 and This is How We Are Human might make the cut this year.

I read ‘The Road Home’ this weekend by Rose Tremain and would recommend it for those who like a descriptive book. It’s not recent but I think my mum read it for her village book club. Took a while to get into it as I prefer faster plot driven books but it was really beautifully written.

i go back to the harry potter books every couple of years, they just feel like home and childhood to me. 💕
and i won a hp themed pub quiz recently so it's all been well worth it 🤠

i've also re-read my favourite book, crime and punishment, several times, so really i just go back to my favourite books when i feel like i might have forgotten some details... and i keep meaning to get into audio books but never seem to remember it!

Most of my re-reads of nostalgia based so classics like any Jane Austen, To Kill A Mockingbird, the Anne of Green Gables series.

I also love Jilly Cooper’s Rutshire books which I first picked up as an impressionable teenager! I re-read Riders over Christmas and am planning to slowing work my way through those again.

Probably the most re-read that I first picked up as an adult is Behind The Scenes At The Museum by Kate Atkinson. Even though it has a twist at the end, there are so many layers to it that’s it always feels like there’s something new or un-remembered from the last read.

Harry Potter for me and also The Bronze Horseman trilogy. Some people hate it but I love it lol. Also I like to reread Master and Margarita by Mikail Bulhakov sometimes.

Ohhh I need to reread crime and punishment at some point and also other Dostoyevsky's books. It's probably been like 15 years since I've read them 😅

Kiki's Delivery Service is such a comfort watch for me, I always mean to pick up the book and see how they compare but haven't ever got around to it (and already have huge piles of unread books..)

the bronze horseman is one of the greatest historical romance novels ever! it is glorious! (however i wish i hadn’t read the rest of the series and pretend the other two don’t exist 🤣)

i read home by marilynne robinson every two years or so. gorgeous little book. i’ve also reread les miserables maybe every four years (it’s so dense that i notice new things every time)
