Does anyone know when Waterstones will do their next double/triple points for members? I have some gifts to buy and intend to buy books but would like a reward 🙃 and that triple points is basically £40 of free money.

February’s book reads : kindle books + audiobooks + the odd paperback. Added to my A-Z challenge I’ve now completed 20 books (some letters doubled but a fabb6 start).
What did you think of All That Remains? It’s been on my TBR for a while.

It wasn’t my favourite. I’ve had it forever and I’ve wanted to read it forever too. And it came available as audio on my borrow box so thought I’d part audio listen and part kindle read it. Overall, it was really interesting. But, I did find the audio a bit tedious. However, I learned quite a few things and I’ll definitely reread it again at some point (I’ve got a huge interest in death and dying; well we’re all going there aren’t we), but it didn’t feel leisurely, it felt more academic. Whereas, glittering a curd, was a brilliant listen. It wasn’t in any of my ‘to read’ lists, it just became free for me to listen on audible and I thought ‘hey I’ll give it a go’ (I don’t even own the kindle version). To be truthful, I really can’t stand Kris Hallenga (sorry Kris but you irritate the bits off me (no pun intended)), but I would actually place it as one of my better February choices. I flew through it and would willingly listen to it again and read it too if the book ever goes to .99 p as a kindle I would definitely be buying it.

What did you think of The Perfect Marriage? My friends just read it for her book club and recommended it.
It was ok until the ending for me. I think I gave it 3.5 stars (or maybe 4) and thought it was good, but the ending just ruined it for me. There was also HUGE plot holes which was pretty annoying. I believe it is coming out as a movie though which I think will be good but it’s not a book I go around recommending people read before they die :)

What did you think of the Mindf*ck series? I see it a lot on Booktok ect! I've also got The Perfect Marriage on TBR, we have similar tastes 😂
Oh excellent! I have so many on my TBR that it’s hard to pick my next read 😂

I think the series was good! I can see why it’s raved about and gave the series an overall 4. I really only had some issues with the ending, but otherwise I found it a good quick series (as every book is around 200 pages). It reminded me of the tv show Criminal Minds!

Just adding my February reads! Currently riding You Had Me At Hola, but I don’t think I’ll finish today so it’s gonna go on my March list.

I’ve had a number of 2/3* star reads this month so I hope next month is better.

Stand out for me was I Let Him Go which was heartbreaking and I listened to it all pretty much in one go. The only other 5 star was The Secrets of Strangers.

February consisted of 5 audios, 2 physical books, 6 library ebooks and 3 kindle books.

None were Unlimited and only one from my A-Z list so I’ll try and do better there for March!

For fans of Jennette McCurdy’s memoir, she’s on Glennon’s latest podcast. Excerpt here:

Omg same, I only managed four books in February and one of those was an audiobook. I think Betty broke me.

New kindle deals tomorrow!

I’m only allowed buy something if it’s on my wish list. I have over 800 unread and at my current average of 4books a month it will take me over 16 years to get through my current library 😂
