Good morning and happy new monthly kindle deals day to all who observe.

I have bought eight books. All from my wishlist so perfectly acceptable.

Let me know if you also buy any of these or if you've read them before.

Know My Name: The Survivor of the Stanford Sexual Assault Case Tells Her Story - £1.99 but I've had my eye on this for ages so could stretch to the extra pound 😁

Life Ceremony by Sayaka Murata

Exciting Times by Naoise Dolan

Poor Little Sick Girls: A love letter to unacceptable women

Blade in the Shadow by Jillian Halket

Men Who Hate Women: From incels to pickup artists, the truth about extreme misogyny and how it affects us all

My Name Is Why by Lemn Sissay

A Tree Grown in Brooklyn - one of you guys recommended this as one of your all time faves. Thank you! It was 61p???!!

I normally trawl through by searching '99p deals' but it takes aaaages.

This time, I just looked through my wish list and saw that loads were on offer.

There is an Instagram account I follow that shares deals on the first of every month. As soon as they post today I'll share the account on here (I can't remember the name of the account 😅).

A Tree Grows In Brooklyn is one of those books that I always see on peoples all times favourites list but one I’ve never picked up. Definitely going to be added to my TBR now!

Ooh all good choices! 😊
Men who hate women is a difficult book to stomach but so important to read. I knew men like that existed just from being on the internet in general but I had no idea how deep and disturbing the "manosphere" actually gets. I took a lot of breaks while reading because it does get you angry/upset but I'm so glad I read it.

I went for I Let Him Go about James Bulger after seeing it recommended here and Daisy Jones.

My Name is Why is a good read.

It's me who adores A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I'm a teeny bit jealous that you get to read it for the first time. It isn't an especially cheerful read, there are no unicorns and rainbows but it does show the resilience, and is about a little girl who is always trying to find the best things in life. Stick with it, even though at points it may be hard to read.

Picked up 8 of my wishlist this morning!

I'm currently reading One Hundred Years of Solitude and I might have to dnf for the first time in my life. I normally read a book in 1-2 days, but I'm 30 percent of the way through this in a week and I'm so bored I've switched to watching TV instead. I just don't get it, it's a bunch of relentless rabbiting on and on about nothing?

Finished before the coffee gets cold.

I liked it and the concept was interesting, it made me think what I would go back for and for who. A short book but would definitely recommend if you’re in a slump.

Has anyone read the 2nd/3rd books? They seem to have a mixed review.

I think I enjoyed the second just as much as the first but the third didn't have the same emotional effect for me personally! Maybe because there was around a year between reading the second and third so my memory of the characters was hazy. 😊

They usually post them all on a page (that I sensibly bookmarked) but they are all still full price? I got a couple off my wishlist for 99p but love to browse and find ones I like the look of, to buy and add to my never ending kindle tbr🤣

If anyone’s found a link with all the deals on one page- please share 🙊🤣

I'm waiting for the Insta book people to post, I can never find the deals myself. Although I scanned through my wishlist and saw a few.

I might go for Daisy Jones as it's 99p but I'm desperately waiting for the audiobook to be available on Borrowbox - it was originally going to be available in July, now dropped to April so I'm hoping people return it quickly.

I'm going to have to start A Little Life, just booked to see the show so best start reading.

A few pages back someone recommended a personalised notebook to keep track of what they've been reading, can anyone point me in the right direction? I can't find their post now. Or, alternatively, recommend what you use? I like the idea of a digital one but realistically I think if I keep a physical notebook on my bookshelf I will be much more likely to update it and use it :)

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches is 99p today. It's a super cute and cosy story about witches, unsurprisingly! Would highly recommend if you just want a very sweet, slightly magical romance :) I read it because it was nominated for a Goodreads Choice Award.

I’ve read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Take your time with that one and I hope you enjoy it as I did. It’s a story well told. Heartbreaking at times. I also found myself searching google-maps for the street names mentioned, to see the places mentioned (of course, very different now). Anyone else do that?
