Thanks folks!

i made a mammoth order (e200) with Paula’s choice in June after being recommended the BHA here.

I’m still waiting to receive it!

i didn’t think twice about the wait until there was nothing after a month

I’m in Ireland so well used to brexit causing lags

paula’s choice say they can only investigate within a two week window and I’ve waited too long. DHL (the couriers in question) have told me they can’t speak with me directly, only the business. I was on hold with them for 90mins yesterday. Dealing with their Netherlands office.

i think I may need to accept I’m not getting this famous BHA 😢
Did you pay using PayPal?

Omg yay!! That's why I always pay with PayPal, I have had to use it so much since Brexit with items going missing and so many companies refusing to help until I get PayPal involved!! You will have to send a message to the company via PayPals website and then wait a few days, if you don't get a response or even an adequate response you can then elevate it and raise a case with PayPal. PayPal will review it after a set number of days. You will the automatically get your money back after thay, at least that's how it has worked for me.

Help!

ok I’m 38, have very oily skin, but it’s also prone to dehydration, I’ve a few deeply set lines in my forehead and nasiolabial but my biggest issue is my pores. They’re enormous and constantly blocked. I never thought I’d still be plagued with blackheads when approaching thirty! I’m lucky in that I’ve never really had acne but the congestion is real. And it really really bothers me.

I’m posting in both skincare and beyond skincare to see what kind of solutions might be recommended???
Hi @Carapop, I’m older than you, but up until six months ago was experiencing a lot of the same issues you described. I went to a doctor who specialises in skincare, and she put me on ZO Skin products. They’re pricey but are really worth it for the results. It has significantly simplified my skincare regime too! Would you consider having a consultation with someone like that? As far as I know, ZO only stock their products with a qualified medical person. The link to her clinic is www.kins.ie
Best of luck with your missing order! PayPal are brilliant at sorting these kinds of things out!

PS SOS!! I use a Stylpro device for cleaning my makeup brushes. I think it’s fantastic, especially for cleaning my foundation brush! My gripe is that Stylpro’s special cleaning solution is quite pricey, and is often out of stock too! Does anyone have advice about this? (Eg an alternative to the Stylpro cleaning solution?). Please don’t tell me fairy liquid is a viable option! It’s nowhere near as impressive as the Stylpro and generates too many suds!

I don't have a nifty machine for cleaning makeup brushes (and now I want one!) but I have found baby shampoo useful in the past when I manually clean mine. Definitely won't sud up too much. It's pretty cheap so could be worth a try?

The style pro device with a full bottle of solution was reduced in the middle aisle of Aldi recently - £12.99

Oh I’ll definitely investigate that product range thank you so much. I’m in maynooth though so while kins looks amazing it’s a bit far for a consult. Delighted to meet another Irish soul though hello! 😍

I keep saying I will get a professional consultation but knowing where to go and who to trust is another matter.

As I type that I realise that my alternative “safe” approach is to instead ask strangers online and lose a fortune because of DHL…

hmmm, maybe I need to reassess what risks are worth taking!

ZO are stocked in south William spa in Dublin so I might treat myself to a visit.
I wonder can I claim it back on Vhi… 🧐😂

Foreo UFO users, do you still use yours? I’ve had to dig mine out specifically to make sure I use it today. I’m a bit disappointed that there still aren’t any new masks in the range (apart from that stupid “make your own” one which I won’t be doing because I’m not 5.

I’m saving my masks for the winter months to save money and because the weather’s been so glorious and hot I’ve used my tools minimally including my LED.

That’s a good idea. I might do the same, actually. The prices have gone up quite a bit lately, too.

I’m still using my Ziip, but not as much as I should.

I had an email from Foreo about a sale on masks so I looked on the website and got a shock how expensive they are now. Basically the sale price was almost the original mask price.

I’ve still got quite a few masks left so I’ll make them last for now and then see if I can grab a bargain later on. Maybe Black Friday.

I still use it, though not as often in the summer months - you’ve just inspired me to do a treatment this weekend!

Same. They used to be £16 or so for 5, but now they're about £21. A huge increase.

I use them about once a week and still love them, the UFO is the only thing that makes me look like I had a facial. The price increase is extremely annoying but they're still far cheaper than a facial

Oh VHI will definitely issue you with a full refund and no excess policy charge 🤪. And try submitting the expenses on your Form Med 1 while you’re at it (we could be on to something here!!!).
Are make up brushes technically a device?? I’m in the market for some new ones, especially a new foundation brush and this caught my eye last night. Oh the cuteness!

There’s also the cutest heart shaped foundation brush available from them. Imagine the fun I’d have trying to clean it!

So the Currentbody LED mask is on offer today on QVC for £200. Comes with 5 hydrogel masks.
Is that a good price?
I’ve never used one before so did a bit of research and liked the Omnilux one but it’s hard to get on the UK and much more expensive so Currentbody was my second choice.
I’m new to LED masks so would love your thoughts please.
