I also love Bday but that album is 18 years old, no one is making the same music they were 18 years ago cause the world moves on

She said herself she spent years people pleasing and now she doesn’t give a fuck, so I genuinely think she’s just doing whatever music she wants

As I said up thread the Country scene is largely racist so I doubt she has any interest in making music just to win over any of those people

I've been listening to the album daily since it came out and I'm not stopping anytime soon. IMO, this release makes total sense as a follow up to Lemonade. The way I see it, it's embodying that feeling of being carefree after a tough breakup, when you start to get back on track and slowly realize that life has its charms. The sudden influx of confidence, wanting to catch up on everything you've missed while wallowing in self pity, hanging out with your (girl)friends and summer flings are what Renaissance is to me - waking up, dusting yourself off and not taking your time on Earth for granted.

Yes, I know that Lemonade finishes off with the song of reconciliation and forgiveness and I'm probably projecting but still, a girl can dream!

Also, I'm 94% sure that All Up In Your Mind will be my most played song of the year. Cannot wait for the other 2 acts and the tour announcement 😭

i find everytime beyonce does something she’ll always get the bandwagon jumping comments and what not
however she’s just unbothered 💅
Hating Beyonce is a personality trait for some people, fair enough if you don’t like her or her music but she actually lives rent free in some peoples minds

Bodyguard and Ya Ya are stand outs for me. Can definitely see Bodyguard being used in tv and movies, it's got that soundtrack vibe.

obviously take with a pinch of salt But my friends works for ticketmaster UK and for “big acts” they have to know in advance when the tickets are so they can prep their servers and they’ve been told Beyonce tickets will be on sale in October!
Omg thank you so much for the info! I'll make sure that I have enough funds for when the time comes, you made my day 😭

This is so true. I feel like people hate artists just because they’re popular - Taylor, Beyonce, Harry Styles pop in to my head. Of course people can dislike the music I’m defo not saying everyone has to like it, but the majority of the time when someone says “Beyoncé is overrated”, you’ll ask why and they can’t really come up with an answer?

It kind of felt like everybody who didn’t like Renaissance was saying she’s a has been, she’ll never sell again, etc etc (rather than have actual proper opinions about the music even if they don’t like it, like people here have posted). Now look at her, EVERYBODY is talking about her. Monday overrated, Tuesday on my dick indeed

Beyoncé looks way more awkward in that video than the fan does. I like Beyoncé but she never comes across “cool” unless it’s been planned and choreographed. She never seems relaxed or at ease with herself. Plenty of other singers would have danced along with the fan or at least seemed to be having fun.

I am a fan of her but not like the ones who are obsessed and she can never do any wrong.

And her version of Jolene… No.
The original sounds fresher!
I get what you mean, I think part of it must be the pressure of her level of fame. I know we’re all different when we’re younger, but in the Destiny’s Child days, she was so funny, relaxed and goofy in interviews, I hope that side of her is still there.

Texas Hold ‘Em hits different when listening to the full album, kind of like how Break My Soul sounded much better when you once you heard the rest of Renaissance
The interlude before Texas is amazing. And 16 carriages even sounds better
