Went to Lidl and Aldi this morning for a few bits. Got the mini Yule logs from the lidl bakery. Second time having them and they are lovely!

Also picked up four blocks of lurpak salted for £1.69 each. What a bargain.

Got the mini stollen bites from Aldi which are my favourite, 6 bottles of their organic Prosecco which we love, a candle and 2 packs of the no duck spring rolls.
Wanted their toblerone dupe but they only had the while choc ones which I don’t like.
Nice little treats haul!

Okay, I have a confession to make. After seeing them mentioned here so often I bought a toffee yum yum yesterday and it was ..... fine.

Just fine, nothing to write home about and I'm sorry to say I just don't get what all the fuss is about 🤷‍♀️

Okay how are the garlic pretzel puffs THAT good?! Only just tried one yesterday and went back for another one today. I think it’s a good job I didn’t get one sooner I’d have been having them every day. 😫 Delicious! OH is obsessed too.
I sliced mine through the middle and made mini pizzas with them in the air fryer. Genius!

Don’t even talk to me about toffee yum-yums 😭 WHY ARE THEY SO GOOD? I live 5 mins from Lidl and I’m not kidding I went twice in one day just to buy yum-yums. 😫 The amount of self restraint I’ve had to muster, I swear…the sugar addiction was getting out of hand.

Hating the special buys no longer being online, usually get a lot more Christmas presents from there but ended up elsewhere this year

I picked up the chocolate bar with pretzels after being influenced on here. 🤭😋
Couldn't stop laughing when I realized it was the bar my diabetic relative used to get. His specialist said he was allowed one piece of chocolate and when you see the size one piece is on this chocolate bar 😂

I'm not a vegetarian but try to cut back on meat products where possible. These are absolutely immense and possibly even more filling than many alternatives. For a mass produced item, it's very well seasoned.

The Bakewell blondies are epic! My husband agrees and we've both said whilst they are in store we are switching our allegiance from our normal bakery choices..(pastel de nata for me, hazelnut choc filled doughnut for him)
You’re a better person than me, I’ve just been getting my regular bakery choices along with the bakewell blondies 😂

Has the Aldi nacho chilli cheese dip been mentioned here yet? Not the one they sell on the shelf by the crisps with the salsas in a glass jar, but this one is in the chilled section where the deli bits are.

It's so good! I had to search around for it as there are other dips in the display box it comes in, but it was well worth it - currently dipping crisps into it as a super late lunch 😅 the packaging says that it has mature cheddar cheese, onions and green jalapeños with red chilli puree. I wish it had more of a kick to it, but I'll def be buying it again!

Agree re Aldi. Their shops are always really dirty and I don’t like their stuff.
Our Aldi is really clean and Lidl is a mess - suppose it depends on what you buy, near me they are both about the same age, one new build and Aldi extended and a refit. Before we moved here I always shopped in Lidl but have to go on the bus to it and Aldi is down the road so have got used to Aldi now but I don't have a problem with it except there is no bakery which I like in Lidl and their big vine tomatoes. :)
