Lidl's definitely cheaper. There's a reason Tesco/Sainsburys is doing Aldi price match and not Lidl.

I got lots of 50% off meat today in Aldi to shove into the freezer. Will really help us over January to save some money!

Got the resistance bands for my Pilates class.
I got the adjustable step and 1kg hand weights, I'm doing pre hab, awaiting major surgery, giving myself the best chance of coming out of it ok. Also will use it after, ordered a walking pad from amazon. God help me. 😒😶😁

I had £10 off a shop this week. Really helps for a family shop in the long month that is January!

I can now see what all the chat is about, picked us all up a Bakewell blondie earlier. Have scoffed mine and am eyeing up the one I bought my son. Must get back over there and buy more 😍
I ate the one I bought for my husband. He still doesn’t even know they exist 🙊

I’ve just tried the new blueberry flavour Fibre Now (Fibre One dupe) from Aldi.
Big fan of all the flavours but this new one is an instant favourite - it’s like a little square shaped blueberry muffin with ‘vanilla drizzle’ (tastes like white chocolate). 🫐

I went to Lidl for the first time today. Had a pretzel from the bakery which was 10/10 after 30 seconds in the microwave. Got dupes of Go Ahead yoghurt slices and McCoys crisps. The McCoys crisps dupes are delicious definitely less seasoning but I like them like that.
Also got some Rowan Hill cinnamon and raisin bagels has anyone tried them? I always buy New York Bakery brand but these look identical.

Just waiting on my bakery spin now so I can go back 🤩

I tend to just whack a seasoning mix on chicken and air fry it as flatties are so expensive for what they are. I got some for £2 on yellow sticker and that is a far more reasonable price than the £5 they are individually or £4 in the offer.
I didn't know what they were until I googled, just flattened chicken breasts in a marinade :) there are loads of recipes out there so just made some different ones and will chop up and freeze to make poke bowls. M and S do a mix of frozen peas, edamame and broad beans which are great to put in the bowls. If you are interested in making a Poke Bowl this has some good ideas. https://www.cookedandloved.com/poke-bowl/

Staff bloke pinched my cheesecake in Lidl earlier - I picked up a New York cheesecake from frozen then went to the vit section and was crouching down to read the label so balanced my cheesecake on the shelf.

He took it. I then went back to the frozen section muttering when I realised to get another 😡
Maybe he didn't realise it was yours if it was just balanced on the shelf and not in a basket? 🤷‍♀️

I doubt an employee would go out of their way to take items from a customer that had already picked up with intent to purchase and just put them back on their original shelf

I’ve just had to make a return trip to Lidl to buy all the hazelnut spread I could hold (eight pots, it turns out) after my teenagers pleaded with me.

I bought one pot to try yesterday and it last approx 5 minutes - even I dug in with a spoon and it was incredible. Like the inside of Kinder Bueno. If you know the Piedmont hazelnut speed M&S does for about seven quid a pot, this is the exact same in less snazzy packaging.

Anyone going there before Italian week is out owes it to themselves to buy some. You will not regret it.

My husband picked this up today from the Lidl bakery and it is so good! He also got the mini egg muffins but I’ll have that after dinner.

Lidl pistachio and cream ice cream. 👌

I love pistachio flavour but you don’t see it often. This is lovely!

Popped into Aldi today and the place was plastered with pink notices saying you weren't allowed to eat the food in there without a valid receipt for purchase, as it would be regarded as theft!
Had trouble with self service machine as the alarm went off a few times. Left feeling like I was going to be pounced on for shoplifting as I left the store. 😬
By law it’s only theft if you leave the premises without offering payment. Aldi can treat it as theft if they like but the police won’t until an actual theft has taken place.

Stuff like that gives me the urge to pinch a grape 🤣

Agree re Aldi. Their shops are always really dirty and I don’t like their stuff.
its like walking into a warehouse, or Homebase/B&Q with a food section.
I’d look in the bakery section expecting to find wood chippings on the donuts of a spirit level under an apple turnover , they’re all so cold and chaotic.
Want a tin of sweetcorn? I mean obviously you’ll find it beside the reed diffusers next to the dog bowls. It smells a bit like piss there but just ignore it. Now go queue for 45 minutes because we only have one till open, the checkout guy hasn’t a word of English, and he’s on his 3rd Monster energy drink, he’s also gonna shout into his head mic every few minutes for shits and giggles, ignore that as well.
Do you want a receipt because we have no till roll.

I don’t think I want to be alive anymore and I didn’t find the sweetcorn,
but I did get a lovely heated toilet roll holder and Christmas cards for 32cent.

Looks nice, are they quite creamy?

My local lidl has been a shit show recently, all of the themed weeks have got muddled up and they have got rid of the small baskets leaving only the ones which you pull on wheels which means the till is like an aerobics show bending down to retrieve items.

I consoled myself with a New York cheesecake.
