Hate it when you see people opening things and eating as go round many a time I've seen half opened sandwiches left on shelfsPopped into Aldi today and the place was plastered with pink notices saying you weren't allowed to eat the food in there without a valid receipt for purchase, as it would be regarded as theft!
Had trouble with self service machine as the alarm went off a few times. Left feeling like I was going to be pounced on for shoplifting as I left the store.![]()
Are you Fopperholic???! (Just joshing)Lovely isn’t it! Cottage cheese is good for you, low in cals and full of proteinI eat multiple pots a week

Between this thread and the M&S thread ive become addicted to chocolate covered nuts of multiple varieties and pastries galoreRight, I should never have went to lidl this morninghaven’t been in ages as I tend to go to aldi mostly. Seen over socials (ireland) that they were bringing back toffee yum yum pastries. How bloody nice are they! I now have an obsession so next time I’m not just gonna buy 2 and share with my child
I even debated getting more this morning and I was like “i probably won’t like them I’ll just get 2” NO I was wrong
so delicious with a cup of tea.
Ok update, I used three teabags and brewed it for over ten minutes and it still tastes like lovely warmed water and nothing elseI think so! About 5 mins but maybe I need to leave it a bit longer, will retry tonight![]()
They changed it to TK Maxx to avoid confusion with TJ HughesNah I’m English so I say ‘Liddle’ and ‘Parriss’ and ‘Spain’ rather than how the natives pronounce them.
Slight tangent but isn’t it odd how TK Maxx is TJ Maxx in America? I wonder why.
I picked an end piece today, even yummier! I bought a bit for my husband as well, but I've not told him about it yet. I might "forget".I bought every member of the family a Bakewell blondie this morning thanks to this thread. Long story short: the over 45s loved them, the under 20s not so much.
I've had the same experience. I remember a refit in an Aldi store in the last few years reminded me of a Marks and Spencer store. Our Aldi is really clean and Lidl is a mess - suppose it depends on what you buy, near me they are both about the same age, one new build and Aldi extended and a refit. Before we moved here I always shopped in Lidl but have to go on the bus to it and Aldi is down the road so have got used to Aldi now but I don't have a problem with it except there is no bakery which I like in Lidl and their big vine tomatoes.![]()
I have been today and got some nice buffet things for guests tomorrow. I also got several rolls of the fully recyclable wrapping paper 45p (nice thick brown printed kind) and these cute little guys for 79p!. Yaaas Aldi.My local Aldi had loads of party food half price today - all dated 1st Jan or later so ideal for NYE
