Another recommendation- Clinique Lash Power mascara is the bomb! Plus it just wipes off with a wet cotton pad as it’s a tubing mascara.

Can anyone recommend me a nice strong acid type please? 😆

basically I’ve got the liquid exfoliate from Paula’s choice, I’ve got the retinol from them and I’m really happy with my serum and eye cream.
I was using that red peel from the ordinary but I feel like I could handle a stronger resurfacing acid type thing but I have no clue what I’m looking for 😂

thanks in advance!

Can anybody recommend me a cellulite cream that actually works? So many different products to choose from.

And a cream that reduces under eye puffiness? Currently using a Clinique one but can’t see any difference at all after 6 months.
I’ve just started a shiseido under eye cream so I’ll have to report back but I love love their serums

Ever the highly unattractive person, I’ve managed to chafe my inner thigh quite badly. The trouble I’m having is where I have chafed it, it’s impossible not to continually have it rub when I walk, so I’m struggling to get it to heal. I was using hydrocortisone on it, I’ve now switched to sudocrem because I don’t want to thin the skin too much.

Should I just accept I need to use plasters on the raw part when I’m out and about/moving until it’s healed to provide a barrier? Or is there a better solution? I’ve been making sure to wear soft clothes in natural fibres but there’s still friction because of where the issue is.

Any good remedies? It’s not so much preventative steps that I need (I actually had ‘chub rub’ shorts on at the time, but they had shifted down a bit and because they’re a man made fibre and I was in a hot place, it was basically a recipe for disaster) it’s a cure so that I can stop walking awkwardly!

Would something like Lanacane work? It might need a dressing whilst it's healing though so the area doesn't get more friction?

You poor thing! I'd use something like Savlon gel (contains a mild anasthetic, and is cooling as well as healing) or Neosporin (triple antibiotic cream) - I feel like if it was me, Sudocrem would be too thick/rich? And keep it covered with a light dressing when you're on the move, but open to the air as much as possible when you're home etc.
Totally agree with your points re natural fibres etc.

The perils of being fat and spending time in a hot country I suppose! Although I did try to take preventative action, it failed! Thank you for this, I will give this a try 😊

Yes, I think I will need to get dressings on it once I’m back to work and moving about again. Thank you!

Hi everyone. Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I know nothing about skincare.
I was gifted this skincare set and it has no instructions and I don't know which order to use it in. Could anyone please advise? Thank you x
I got this last year and and another Nadine edit the year before! Let me just check what’s in it and I’ll help x

I wouldn’t use it all in the same routine and obviously make sure you bring it all in slowly!
The ceramides moisturiser is actually one of my favourite moisturizers 🥰
So in the AM I would do

HA cleanser
vitamin c
vitamin e (you don’t have to use it everyday - every other day is fine, could even add it into the moisturiser)
moisturiser
(SPF if you don’t already use it!)

PM:
(if you’re wearing make up and spf then you need a first cleanse which is normally a balm/oil - I can recommend some)
HA cleanser
retinol (have you used retinol before? you don’t need this everynight and i would slowly introduce it if you’re sensitive)
moisturiser

Thank you so much ❤ I assumed there was a guide inside but there wasn't.
I currently use a YourGoodSkin Comforting Gel Cleanser, is this one okay or is there another you'd recommend?
I've never used a retinol before.

Since my teens I've only every used a cleaner, toner, moisturiser with SPF or a night moisturiser 🙈 I'm so clueless with all of this stuff

Yeah I don’t think there was which is a bit silly isn’t it! From what I can see on google, looks like your cleanser becomes a milky texture? As long it’s essentially “melting” your make up and spf off then it’ll be a good first cleanse 😄 Ones that I love and have used as a first cleanse are super facialist vitamin c oil cleanser, elemis balm, clinique take the day off, superdrug do a hot cloth cleanser, the pixi x caroline hirons double cleanse is gorgeous (it’s a balm and a creamy one)

Put the retinol onto dry skin, I would start by using it 2 times a week and then when you feel like you’re used to it you could build upto every other night - I use mine every other night but it’s much stronger!

Ps great profile pic troll 🤣🤣🤣 xx

Can anyone recommend a really good “false lash” look mascara? One that makes them super long and doesn’t flake or smudge everywhere. Thanks!

I’m looking for a really moisturising lipstick/ gloss as I have super dry lips. Any suggestions of a range I can look at?
Maybelline Lifter Glosses, Revlon Glass Shine and Glossier Ultralips are all moisturising on me as someone who also has dry lips. I've also found the laneige sleeping mask to be helpful with improving the dryness.

I’m going to treat myself to a beauty box of some sort, like glossybox, but I want one where you’re pretty much guaranteed to get something decent in it. Can anyone recommend a good one to go for?

What do you want it like monthly? Cult Beauty has good boxes/edits and so does SpaceNK and they’re normally brilliant. Cult Beauty has 5 or 6 coming out at Christmas

Latest in Beauty boxes allow you to pick from a selection of products, so you know what you’re getting or can at least narrow it down to the sort of products you’d like the try. They also have ready-made boxes. Haven’t had one in years but they were always my favourites.

Hello!
Any collagen recommendations?
Has anyone found taking collagen beneficial?
Yes.

First off I took collagen supplements for about 6 months. No change to anything. Took it for my sore knees. I tried an expensive brand for 5 months, and one from Holland & Barrett’s for the last month.

However swapped to Collagen powder after that. Within a month for knees were significantly eased. Two months in my skin (body) is so smooth with my keratosis pillaris (spelling - those annoying spots on arms) went. I can gor without body lotion if I want. Three months in my receding hairline (I am post menopausal) has started to fill in. I am absolutely astounded about the hair. Never took it for that, so that’s been a pleasant surprise. My knees feel so much better. The brand I am taking is Bare Biology. It’s expensive - one tub lasts about two months. I am going to carry on and switch to cheaper skin care etc. You have to take it for a while to notice the benefits. On this website it also mentions collagen and depression, just a caution that there might be some link tocollagen and low mood, so worth researching beforehand if you are prone to depression.

Thank you so much for the in-depth review. I’ll give them a go.
