kinda annoys me that the only reason they have to demolish is because it 'ruins the character' of their original house, and not also because of the neighbour objections. fuck the people in normal houses who don't want to look at the monstrosity right?

I’m so pleased that our instincts have proven correct about Hannah and the Ingham family. I can remember how those of who aired the opinion that all was not right were shot down in flames and accused of being ‘trolls’. What a vile person she is to have exploited her elderly father in the way that she did, and the fact that she is still cashing in on it now over a year after his death is a disgrace. Please let him rest in peace now.

I am loving the constant stream of bad press that odious woman is starting to finally get.

How mad was that time? Thursday nights people out clapping and banging pots and pans and I know I say it over & over, those "hilarious" singing families. I genuinely felt I was in one of those zombie films where I could escape only by not switching the tv on.
But you couldn't escape it! A phone call and it would be "did you see that wonderful old man? Isn't he marvelous?" "Are you out clapping tonight?" No I'm fucking not! And sweetly "no, which old man is this?" The whole thing was mawkish, like wading through treacle. I was going to the shops, varying them and buying heaps of laundry powder/fabric conditioner so I could mainline chocolate without being arrested. and the rich got richer including the Capn's daughter.

Stay Home. Protect the NHS.... unless you are from an upper middle class affluent background with a holiday home in the Caribbean. Then you can do WTF you like

I’m getting so annoyed at the high and mighty presenters on TV/radio etc sticking up for him. They went to town calling influencers out (rightly so) for swanning off to Dubai but now for Captain Tom it is perfectly acceptable to go to Barbados!

Sick of all the hypocrites! Sick of being called a troll for saying it’s not right . They need to get a backbone and say yeh it wasn’t wise for him to go on a long haul flight.

My sister couldn’t come down for Christmas from Scotland but it’s ok for this family to travel to the Caribbean. Why shouldn’t people be pissed off!

Well done Hannah, you may as well just stick two fingers up at every single relative who has been denied the right to attend their loved one’s funeral over the past year.
imagine anyone of us rocking up at a crematorium during the past few months saying “right, over there I want a group firing guns, the plane will fly past over there, tv cameras over there and can we keep reiterating that it’s private please”.

This has to go down as the most tasteless media circus car crash ever.

It may have been ‘legal’ for him & his family to go on holiday when he did but nobody cares about that when it comes to influencers going to Dubai and the like. Same rules for everyone as far as I’m concerned, what exactly is the difference? Just because Tom is a 100yr old war vet doesn’t give him and his family a free pass to do as they please. There are lots of 100 year old people in this country who would love to be able to spend such quality time with their loved ones but can’t. It’s incredibly insensitive what they’ve done but I suppose they are too privileged to see it.

This family are so startlingly naïve. That's the kindest thing I can say about them.

Surely everyone understands that where charity money is involved, you can't take as much as a penny for yourself. Even if there was a cost to you - emotional, physical, even financial - of the publicity then you suck it up. Because the optics of creaming off any money is so, so bad.

And we don't need any more frigging charities or foundations! It just diffuses the funds available for all the others. They had a nice bit of fuss made of them and a lovely holiday out of it. It should have all ended when he went in the ground. They would have had lots of goodwill and people love being 'fame adjacent ' so it probably would have boosted their existing crappy businesses. They'd have been fine. Instead, they are pariahs and they deserve it.

Funny how the media are not mentioning the fact that he was in Barbados in December. I bet if he was a young person this would be metioned in the media and he would be critised over it but as he's a old person who's captured the nations heart he can do no wrong. He should be critised in exactly the same way these young influencers are getting critised for going on holiday in the middle of a pandemic. Its very stupid that someone his age travelled all that way to go on holiday.

I don't think they're in the slightest bit naive. I think they're fucking grifters who thought they could get away with skimming money on the back of their dear old Captain Tom. Now they've been caught out they try and wheedle their way out of it. Hannah should be in jail.
