Self-proclaimed genius Ruby starts her morning as an Oxford student by drinking air from an empty cup. It's a sad state of affairs when this shot could be a reflection of how indescribably lazy Ruby is and how little effort she can be bothered to put into trying to make her fake routines seem real, or an honest glimpse at a braindead moron failing her way through life with a privilege parachute strapped to her back.

Untit57l56ed - Copy.png

Her 6:30am routine begins at...(checks watch)...9:05am.

Untit57l56ed56756png - Copy.png

Speaking of unbelievably fake nonsense, Ruby's covering an unread book with saliva and toothpaste again in an effort to convince people that she AWLWHEYS reads while brushing her teeth.

Apropos of nothing, Ruby claims that Oscar Wilde, Emily Dickinson and Max "PRUHFWORMA" Porter are her favourite authors. She, once again, does not offer even the tiniest indication why they're her favourites. Because she can't. She has no idea why they're her pretend-faves. They're just the oft-rehearsed names swirling around in the vortex of borrowed interests, stolen ideas and incoherent thoughts that is her brain, shouted at random like catchphrases from a malfunctioning pull-string doll. "AMMILY DICKINSON IS MOIY FAVOURITE AUTHOR!" "OIY AWLWHEYS READ WHILE BROSHING MOIY TEETH!" "OIY WAS BOLLIED FWORE BEING TYOO SMART!"

Untit57l56ed56756p5675ng - Copy.png

In her ongoing hate campaign against cleanliness, Ruby decides to reveal that her contact lens case is encrusted in a layer of filth and caked-on dirt. She happily touches this thing and then touches her fucking eyeball.

This, on top of years of evidence, should show that her claims of being a germaphobe has always been utter horseshit.

Ruby then moves on to her skincare routine, which here consists of awkwardly slapping a bit of cleanser on random parts of her face, then following it up by slathering one cheek and most of her forehead with a hyaluronic acid serum.

Untit57l56ed567565685p5675ng - Copy.png

After putting the kettle on, Ruby briefly reveals that she's been hurtled back in time to 07:39. Even by her alleged 6:30 wakeup timescales, it's taken her an hour and 10 minutes to get out of bed, brush her teeth, slap a bit of cleaner on and turn the kettle on. Not varry prodocktive, eh, Rubert? But it's JANUINELY not because she never does any of this "routine" bullshit and this is all just staged on an otherwise empty morning, HOW DAEHR YEUUU!

Untit57l56ed567565685p567589ng - Copy.png

She claims that she AWLWHEYS starts the day by listening to "SOMM KOIND OF CLASSICOL MYOOSIC". But Ruby still doesn't know what classical music is, so by "classical music", she means "a film score or any song featuring a piano". Here she's predictably chosen to listen to a playlist of tracks from the scores to the Harry Potter movies, because that's all this Oxford degree is: Another desperate chance to pretend she's HARMOYONEEEE GRAYNGAHH, GIFTED CHOYLD WIZARD (AGED TWALVE).

She "makes her bad", which consists of lazily repositioning the duvet and not changing any of the bedding that's been on there for at least a month now, nor changing the pillowcase that's been on there for at least two and a half months.

Untit57l56ed567565685p565677589ng - Copy.png

Looking hopelessly glum in her gloomy room, Ruby explains that she chose her outfit the night before.

"Wan of the banafits of a ryooteeen is...that it takes awayyy CHOICE." Because a life without spontaneity or surprise or joy of any kind sounds wonderful. God, what a bleak existence. Ruby claims that eliminating choices JANUINELY helps her stay efficient. She says this after it takes her 2 hours to just get out of bed and get ready.

She does not explain where or when those 7-outfits-on-average-a-day clothing changes that happen in all her vlogs get chosen. I guess she must spend 4 hours a night planning them for the following day, because it's JANUINELY not just because all her vlogs are staged and stitched together from several days' worth of footage to make her seem supernaturally productive, HOW DAEHHHHHHRR YEUUUUUU.

Untit57l56ed567565685p5656756757589ng - Copy.png

Ruby does her skincare again, slapping on some face cream and some ASSPEEAFFF cream onto her face and only her face because the sun cannot burn your neck or hands or ears, that's just basic science.

After that's done, Ruby's overdue to pretend that she's ACKSEEEDINGLY INTALLIJANT, so she pretends that she studies Latin every morning by translating something from "JOHN SKOSSPLE", whoever he may be.

Untit57l56ed567565685p56567wer56757589ng - Copy.png

It's undeclared ad time as Ruby whips out more oft-repeated lines:

"THIS IS THEEEE PLANNAH FROM PONKIN PODDOCKTIVITEEEE, which oiy AWLWHEYS YEEEZE."
"OIY RON THE COMM-PANNIEEEEE!"
"OIY DEZOYNED IT MOIYSALF!"

None of these things are true.

Ruby notes on the planner page that she's filled out purely for advertising purposes that her book went on submission on Monday, so if she weren't already completely miserable at Oxford, then the double-whammy of a shitload of publisher rejections alongside bad grades for her half-assed, AI-written essays will wreck her.

Untit57l56ed567565685p56567wer56786757589ng - Copy.png

After a ridiculously small portion of random gruel for "BRACKFSST", Ruby says she gets started on some "WAAHRK", which seems to mean "pretend to be busy staring at screens while sporting a face so tired and miserable that it looks like you've just attended 6 back-to-back funerals".

She pretends to work on an "ASSAY", then writes a bad poem.

Untit57l56ed567565685p56567wer67856786757589ng - Copy.png

Her fake freckles have also spontaneously appeared out of nowhere.

Untit57l56ed567565685p56567wer678567556786757589ng - Copy.png

She makes a dramatic show of waving her watch at the camera to show what time it JANUINELY is, HONNASTLEEEE.

It's supposed to be 8:36am now, but Ruby clearly didn't pay any attention while filming or editing yet again and hasn't realised that she's already revealed the time accidentally already.

Ruby expects us to believe that she made her bed, did her skincare for the second time, got dressed, had breakfast, wrote her to-do list for the day, worked on an essay while reading a textbook, wrote a poem and it all took her an hour.

Back on her toxic bullshit, she stops to encourage drinking tonnes of WHAAARTUHHH from your WHAAAAARGHTUHH BOTTUWWWHH while studying. She does not encourage eating a full, nutritious meal at any point.

Untit57l56ed567565685p56567wer6785675567879786757589ng - Copy.png

It's time to leave, so Ruby bids goodbye to all the squalid filth and dirty dishes littering her room, grabs her travel mug without washing it, puts on her scarf and brown leather Doc Martens and heads out.

She blurs the window to the building she's already revealed in previous videos, then - because she ain't paying a single bit off attention when filming and editing a single one of these terrible videos - she doxes herself and films the room number on her door. What a fucking moron.

Ruby, I say this as someone who doesn't like you at all but doesn't want anything scary to happen to you beyond you having to get a real job: START PAYING ATTENTION TO THE THINGS YOU'RE FILMING, YOU COMPLETE DUMBASS.

Untit57l56ed567565685p56567wer67856756565567879786757589ng - Copy.png

Looking glum, tired and like a pensioner cosplaying as a schoolgirl, Ruby sets up a camera in the street to film herself walking 10 feet. In the process, she reveals that her shoes have changed and her scarf has vanished.

To add to the abject fakery, Ruby says she's off to "PRAT" again. She gets defensive and says YASS she's gyowing tyooo PRAT AGANN and YASS she bought a PRAT SOBSSCRIPSHON, but this was only because she didn't want to buy a coffee machine. Because those are the only two choices in life.

Reminder: Ruby does not like coffee. Almost every time she films herself trying to drink coffee, she looks like she's about to vomit, or there's a hard cut the moment she takes a sip, so she can spit it out.

Check out her recent TikTok, wherein she tries drinking a Pret coffee and you can literally see her gag reflex activate as she struggles to even swallow the coffee she clearly hates.

But being a habitual coffee drinker is something she's seen on social media as something hustle-culture girlbosses and VARRY PRODOCKTIVE PEEPOL stereotypically do, so it's something she had to add to her fake personality.

A Pret subscription is also part of the cliché Oxford student starter pack, so of course, she needed that, too.

Unti56858tled-1 - Copy.png

Ruby blathers about how blessed she is to have the scenery of Oxford be the sights she sees on her walk to class, while setting cameras up to film herself walking around (and filming countless other people without their consent).

Meanwhile, her shoes have magically changed again and so has her hair.

Untit57l56ed567565685p56567wer678567565655reye6786787678567978675567589ng - Copy.png

Then her ponytail spontaneously reappears, only to free itself again.

Ruby says she had her class, went with her FRAND too see Oxford's cloisters and the tree where the "Draco Malfoy FARRAT scene in Harry Pwottuh and the Gobblerton Foyre" was filmed, which was "VARRY QUOOOL". This is a morning routine video, so apparently Ruby visits this GOBBLERTON FOYRE FARRAT tree every single day.

Untit57l56ed567565685p56567wer678567565655reye6786787678567978676785567589ng - Copy.png

Ruby says she "YEESHALLY" checks her post box for "LATTARS" and - wouldn't you know it! - Ruby's mummy sent her a letter and some HARRY PWOTTUH merch. Ruby protests that she JANUINELY wasn't expecting this.

She HONNASTLEEE didn't just do what she did at Exeter and insist that her mummy send her random letters and pointless care packages of random household items for no other reason than to make her feel like a TWALVE YAAHR OWWLD GARRRL at boarding school, HOWWW VARRYYYY DAEEEHRRRR YEEEEUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

It’s just a business relationship not friendship I’d say.
Jade organising a meet-up with another YouTuber with a similar, larger (and probably much younger by now) audience just in time to plug her study book pre-orders definitely feels like a very timely coincidence. It's the equivalent of an actor doing the rounds on talk shows to talk up their latest bad movie.

I'm sure they get along fine, but I can't imagine they have much to talk about after 5 minutes.

Jade: "Ohmigosh, yah gahl was backpacking all over the planet experiencing that ✨CASUAL MAGIC✨and learning German in record time. Ja, ich bein ein hustle queen. So basically I've just been living life, loving life, smashing life. And understanding life, yah know?"
Ruby: "I know exactly what you mean. I went for a walk outside after reading 11 books in one morning and was just overwhelmed by the glow of the sunrise and my heart was overwrought with intrinsic proflidity and I just thought about how so many children from the 19th Century wouldn't get to experience that bewhelmerment and joyositousness. I know if they were here today, we'd play hopscotch and I'd give them a discount on my planners and their life would be so inequivicabolly enrichified. But I know that even though they can't be here, they'd be so, so grateful that I get to live the life that they can't, because I'm just making the most of every moment, being productive and hugging every savoury moment."
Jade: "That's such✨CASUAL MAGIC✨ right there. Such vives. Shall we go and get smashed and check out the cute London boys?"
Ruby: "Drinking? Boys?! Heavens, no!"

Hey, something just occurred to me - notice how she never talks about having a period, shaving her leg hair, dealing with PMS? Are we supposed to imagine that she's a pure Victorian child who doesn't have those or is it her choice not to include them in her videos?
In Ruby's defence, she may not be comfortable about talking about periods etc - which is fine, not everyone wants to be open about that kind of stuff.

No surprise, her Skillshare course is really bad.

She struggled to fill a 15 minute video on commonplacing, so it's no great shock that it's even worse when Ruby stretches all her usual misunderstood buzzwords, Googled quotes and stolen lecture handout material to an excruciating 35 minutes.

Untitled6856745767956757866765768967578687 - Copy.png

Her cartoonish fake FRACKLES are on full display and she's really trying desperately to hammer home the ADOLT AMMA WATSYON fake accent variant that she switched to when starting Oxford now that she's pretending to be a VARRY IMPRASSIVE ACADAMMICKAL AWKSFWUD STYEEDUNT.

I'd say she's put slightly more effort into this Skillshare series than her usual YEECHEEB WAAHRK, but it's still incredibly dumb and profoundly lazy, she's just found a few different, completely inept ways to present that half-assed stupidity.

Ruby has evidently watched a couple of ADDJOOKAYSHONUL VIDEEEYOWWS ON SKILLSHAAAH and tries to imitate them here. But, as with everything she imitates, she knows how to copy some of the aesthetics in theory, but doesn't know why they do what they do or how to copy any of what makes them good.

Now, Skillshare recommend changing the camera angle unusually often:

U65867576y787878687 - Copy.png

Apparently Skillshare don't believe that people who signed up to learn on their own time on a study platform will have the attention span for a 3 minute video unless THINGS ARE CONSTANTLY CHOPPING AND CHANGING.

But a competent creator will know how to include a variety of angles and inserts to create a video that flows smoothly and keeps a viewer's focus without distracting from the material. Ruby has almost a decade of experience making videos. Ruby should be at least vaguely competent by now, even if by accident.

Nope.

Untitled68687 - Copy.png

Along with the familiar talking-to-camera YEECHEEB setup, she's added an extra side-profile camera angle as seen above. She cuts to it constantly, to the point where it might be used more often than the facing-camera close-up angle.

It instantly disconnects the viewer visually from the already rambling, asinine material; with Ruby facing off-screen while she's talking to imaginary people off-camera, the viewer is now a third wheel in the virtual private lecture they ostensibly paid for.

Here's an example from a random video on the home page recommendations to show how almost every other content creator does this better:

Untitled6856745767956687 - Copy.png

Untitled6856745767956678687 - Copy.png

From a close, head-and-shoulders shot, to a wider angle. There's a visual change for variety, but there's a smooth, consistent continuity - the creator is still maintaining eye contact with you, the viewer, while talking.

Ruby goes the opposite route, inserting jarring camera changes that disconnect the viewer visually. The usual jump-cut edits that litter her normal content are also present and accounted for here regardless of the angle, making the situation even worse. This is a scripted video that she was paid a substantial amount to make, and still, she simply could not be bothered to rehearse or film a second take to avoid jump-cuts.

Untitled6856756687 - Copy.png

Ironically, she declares that she personally uses her commonplace book as a means to collect useful or interesting quotes and claims that she sits on park benches, reading and memorising these quotes in her spare time. In this video, she couldn't even memorise a few quotes for the purpose of filming a single shot for a video about how to use commonplace books.

The magic of editing means she'd have an infinite number of tries to commit the quote to memory even in the short term and practice to get it right for the camera, yet she still couldn't be bothered. Instead, she recites it from her iPad with her usual repertoire of AMMA WATSYON brow-furrowing, head shaking affectations.

Again, instead of cutting to an animated slide of the quote while she reads it, she awkwardly disconnects herself from the viewers by keeping herself on-screen while she's speaking, but averting her eyes from the camera to read something off-screen. She does this countless times throughout the video. It's the video equivalent of a bad college presentation.

Speaking of slides, per the Skillshare recommendation, she's added some on-screen graphics and inserts...

...But she added them everywhere.

Untitled6856745767956786676567578687 - Copy.png

Untitled685674576795675786676567578687 - Copy.png

Untitled6856767956687 - Copy.png

Instead of cutting to an aesthetically-pleasing slide with information and voiceover, Ruby just slaps it on her face.

Instead of framing the shot so that graphics are filling the empty space in the frame, Ruby just slaps it on her face.

Instead of waiting until the current graphic has gone before adding new, different information and quotes, Ruby just throws new quotes on top of old quotes and slaps it all on her face.

Almost every shot is interrupted with a random, cluttered junk-heap of distracting crap thrown atop Ruby's face while she has a manic, bug-eyed, incoherent rant either at you or at some invisible, off-screen person.

U65867576y787874798564576568768689788567687 - Copy.png

At one point, the cover of one of the many books that Ruby quotes from but hasn't read is shunted off the screen by a wall of warped-perspective text which crawls up the screen and disappears into Ruby's receding hairline.

U65867576y787874798564576568768789689788567687 - Copy.png

It looks like the beginning to the world's worst Star Wars fan film.

U65867576y7878747985645765768689788567687 - Copy.png

Some of the inserts and quotes have spelling errors added. She uses the same B-roll inserts multiple times.

There's also multiple instances of single black frames or frames that are completely garbled - I thought this might be Skillshare's player acting up, but it's in the original video (and it's far from the first time her videos have had these kind of glaring errors).

It's a non-stop barrage of distracting bullshit and technical incompetence.

U65867576y787874564686788567687 - Copy.png

Audio-wise it's not massively better.

She's recording audio through that crappy lavalier mic she bought (and kept holding like a normal microphone, because she's a dumbass). This time, she's clipped it to her shirt at least, but with all the frantic, claw-handed gesticulating she keeps doing, she keeps brushing the mic so the video's peppered with abrasive and horrible sounds different to the usual ones she makes whenever she speaks.

There's also the usual sped-up speech and complete lack of effort with audio levels, so occasionally she just blasts your ear drums with volume changes for no reason.

I'm not sure if Martha edited this or Ruby did, but the buck stops with Ruby and her incompetence sets the tone even when she delegates this crap. For someone who claims to have a YARRHNING FWORE LAHHHRNING, she'd be better off spending this latest GAP YAHHHH learning to make and edit videos properly.

U65867578687 - Copy.png

The technical issues might be slightly more forgivable if the actual material was engaging, but this doesn't break the infinite streak of bad Ruby content. There's nothing here that wasn't included in that latest YouTube video she did on commonplacing and nothing added but endless padding.

You could condense her 8-chapter exercise in nonsensical waffling into a succinct, 45 second YouTube short:

"Hustle culture is bad. When we enjoy what we study, we're more likely to want to study it. You can collect and categorise information that you come across in everyday life in notebooks and refer back to it later - you can compile whatever you want, however you want. Many famous authors did this in their own notebooks, which they came to refer to as commonplace books."

Of course, it's all lies as far as Ruby's concerned. She's a huge proponent of hustle culture; it's the foundation on which she built her fake brand, pretending to have done more than anyone else in faked vlogs, purely to inspire jealousy in children. She doesn't enjoy what she does in her content, whether it's reading, writing or studying; she's actively avoided engaging with almost everything she's studied or pretended to read and just cynically reads study guides instead of the book, or copies whatever lecture handouts or Goodreads quotes she saw that month to pass off as her own to try to appear intelligent.

U658675767878687 - Copy.png

This Skillshare series and her recent commonplacing video are prime examples. She supposedly writes in a commonplace every day, studied the practice and history of commonplace books as part of her Masters degree and claims to have researched extensively in her free time. And yet she has almost nothing to say about it beyond the basic quotes and ideas that she found in her lecture handouts. As with everything, her video on the subject is a padded jumble of stolen thoughts and disconnected, largely irrelevant ideas.

For some reason an entire chapter of this "class" is devoted to "irresponsible reading" or reading for the joy of it. And then Ruby tries awkwardly to tie this to commonplacing. Irresponsible reading is at the core of commonplacing, Ruby claims. We need to read for the fun of it, so it's VARRY IMPWORETANT that you do substantial pre-research on what you're about to read, prep a commonplace notebook about the ideas you might encounter, then divert from your reading constantly to take notes, then do pre-research for the post-research. And - if you're anything like Ruby claims to be - you'll keep several drafts of your commonplace book, so you can copy the information to and from 5 different places. This is what it's like to read for fun, apparently. It's just the most incoherent, contradictory nonsense.

Ruby babbles through an neverending stream of borrowed quotes about what other people said about commonplacing and synoptic thinking. Conspicuously absent is any kind of clear example of how or why Ruby thinks it's important or how it works for her in practice. Even the random snatches quotes don't paint a clear picture of what the hell she's rambling about. Ruby makes no effort to attempt to explain what she believes a commonplace book offers over more versatile modern digital platforms which she clearly feels more comfortable using. There's no examples, no explanation, nothing.

"If you compile a list of disconnected quotes and thoughts, you'll find a new connection between the material!" Ruby says. She can't tell you when or how that ever happened to her. She has no further information to offer because her lecturer strangely didn't cover the contents of Ruby's commonplace book during her degree, so she has nothing to copy from on that matter.

U65867576y78787479856457657686788567687 - Copy (2).png

Even the basic, practical questions that might arise when thinking about starting a commonplace book, like 'how do you avoid running out of room in a book so small?' go entirely unmentioned. Ruby says that you should flip the book around, start from the back and write 50 questions about the contents of your commonplace book.

But before you can ask how you'll have the space to fill the back of a tiny notebook with 50 random questions if - as Ruby insists - it MOSST BYEE MASSY AND YOU SHOULDN'T REHAARSE OR REWROITE IT, YEU MOSST THROW ASOID YORE PARFACSHIONISM, Ruby shows herself workshopping all her questions in a separate notebook (not PONKINPOD TIFTEA branded, big shock) like she did in the YEECHEEB video. Yet more pointless busywork that shows how performative all this is for her.

U65867576y787874798564686788567687 - Copy.png

In yet another incredibly telling moment, Ruby recommends that you (like she does) ask ChatGPT to tell you how to think critically about whatever you scribbled in your commonplace book.

I'm not even kidding. In this mess of a video lecture series where Ruby unconvincingly shouts about the joy of learning for the sake of learning and does a completely cack-handed job of telling people that commonplacing is a wonderful way to engage independently with material critically in new ways (with zero examples), Ruby straight up says: "Avoid thinking for yourself. Just get AI to do the critical thinking for you, like I do." The fucking audacity.

She also recommends looking up everything you read on Wikipedia (she calls this "pre-resaaarch" - it's JANUINELY not just what she does instead of reading things for herself, HONNASTLEEEE). Again, this is a video lecture series on a paid learning platform, in which Ruby is supposed to be educating people on the joys of learning independently, yet she couldn't help but reveal for the thousandth time that she actively avoids learning.

Is anyone else finding Ruby's videos a bit triggering for their ED? I had pizza last night and watched the night time routine video where she just had mainly veggies and a bit of pasta and no (vegan) cheese. It reminds me of my own restrictive habits. Especially the way she pulled a face at the thought of cheese. I remember convincing myself/others I didn't like certain foods anymore. I'm finding myself bodychecking Ruby a lot which I never used to do before because there's so much emphasis on her size and diet now in her videos/photo angles. I think I'll take a step back from following her for a bit for my own sanity tbh because I hate myself when I'm like this, and I've worked so hard not to this obsessive about other's body/diet and my own. It might sound dumb but her doing yoga before bed really tipped me off the edge - cos I'm literally eating and going to bed. Again, I recall working out in the mornings and before bed and how much I was able to lose doing that, and how much I sometimes still feel that urge now. I don't know you guys - it feels less productivity inspiring and more toxic producitivity. Her habits could be perfectly innocent but at the moment, with a bit of lockdown pudge on, I feel awful and weakwilled as it is with my own diet and exercise and content that drops hints like this doesn't help. If she does have something ED going on, I hope she can get through it because it is devastating even when you're in recovery. It could be that there's other things going on -intolerances she has to accommodate, a lack of appetite due to stress, a genuine urge to eat healthy that may be bordering on orthorexia now but the unintended effect for me is that it's triggering. I wish my brain didn't overthink stuff like this but it's hard not to and I can see by others comments on here a lot of you feel the same. Look after yourself and don't be afraid to unfollow her and this thread if it's provoking anything.

This is from her LinkedIn (it never ceases to amazes me that she uses Granger as her last name on there), so I guess that explains a little bit what she’s thinking of doing after uni? Or at least what she wants to go into?

She's listed what she wants, but I think what she NEEDS is a job in Starbucks for 12 months - I'm a big believer that customer service/retail jobs are one of the biggest character-building things you can do and I think she would genuinely grow so much as a result. I think it would improve her sense of confidence in herself, because she would learn how to deal with real, messy, day to day life, and come out of the other side of a bad day. Not to mention the interactions with people from all different walks of life, hopefully open her eyes a little bit!

Once more we gaze into the abyss - figuratively and literally, as Ruby's decided once again that the very first frame of her video needs to be the nightmarish image of her psychotically staring at you, mouth wide open like a snake trying to dislocate its jaw to consume its prey.

Untitled777.jpg

"Hello, it's Roobee and today I am sooo excited tyoo bee sharing with yoo the yaahly planner for twentee twentee tyoo," Ruby says, as her dog immediately starts wailing and barking in anguish in the background.

I've consulted canine linguistics experts and they've translated this dog's panicked cries for me:

"Not again! I thought she'd buggered off to uni?" the dog asks. "Why does she keep coming back every three days to subject us to this loud, rambling madness?!"

Ruby has previously argued that of course she prioritises aesthetics in videos over substance, since you need to make videos aesthetically pleasing. So this distracting anguished dog wailing was apparently a professional, aesthetic choice, rather than an act of sheer laziness from someone who simply could not be bothered to film a second take despite months of opportunity to plan and film. Or, y'know, stay at uni and film in a house with no barking dogs, rather than running home to film in a constantly noisy environment.

Unthh.jpg

"Somehow this is the fourth planner that we've released," Ruby says with tired, glassy-eyes while once again pinching the air like a disgruntled Italian chef.

Four planners is not counting all the faulty variants that customers have been forced to return, like the ones with jumbled, out-of-order months, or the 'September Who? We Need to Skip Straight to October Because I Love October! Special Edition', which was missing an entire month. Coming soon: "Yearly Planner: Oops, all Januaries! Edition."

"I'm syo, syo happy with how it tahned out," Ruby says as the speech centre of her brain is eroded by ongoing stupidity, like a coastline being forced to recede by unrelenting ocean waves.

Translation: "I can't believe you morons are still paying money for this trash! I just keep releasing the same overpriced, low-effort, cheaply-made, poor quality garbage and you keep falling for it every year!"

Her dog evidently has no patience for this bullshit, either, as it keeps barking through this entire segment until Ruby likely cut, went to yell at her parents for not stopping their dog from acting like a dog, then came back to not bother rerecording anything. Aesthetics, y'all!

Ukknthh.jpg

Ruby shows off some recycled footage of her old academic planner, where she proves once again that she has no idea what "admin" means (apparently "washing up" is a business-related administration task now and not just an everyday household chore) and has apparently invented her own written language (it's Monday, don't forget to "organue yookjueit" and "finlon reaaing hoou lol pieajure"!)

She claims that this yearly planner is similar, but different to the academic planner, because the academic one is designed around studying. Y'know, with those important study-related things, like an entire section for your morning and night routine, and a place to remind yourself what your favourite movies are.

The yearly planner, however, is designed for "life planning" and will be more useful, Ruby says, if you're not in education. Because in Ruby's mind, if you're a student, things like social events, fun non-academic plans and generally having a life are strictly off the table. You can either be a student, or have a life. The two are apparently mutually exclusive. And rather than research the needs of everyday students and design a single planner that catered to a balanced student life, Ruby milked two equally shitty planners out of this thing.

Ukknthhhh.jpg

Ruby says she prefers the yearly planner for herself, because of course the one she's advertising is going to be her current pretend favourite. But she says she still uses both, and claims she usually just switches between the two.

It's likely just lies, of course, but either way, not a single person should be using Ruby as someone to emulate when it comes to planning and organisation when she's claiming to use two annual planners concurrently alongside all her other pointless planning platforms like Notion.

How often does Ruby claims she's having to finish things last minute, or has forgotten the room for her seminar and shown up to the wrong one, or forgot to plan for something like buying a book? She's an unbridled shitshow of disorganisation, and her inability to consolidate all her redundant planning systems into one is only part of the problem.

Ukknthhhhhhh.jpg

giphy.gif

Ruby lies and says she can't even believe the planner is finally being released, since so much time and planning has gone into getting it ready. You can tell by the fact that the cover and general design is identical to the academic planner released months ago, and all that's changed is the title of some sections in the master design document.

DSC08118-2_4a3a08cf-edb1-4ce3-98da-633350b6887e_1024x1024@2x.jpg
kkUk.jpg

(Before and after months and months of hard work.)

Ruby raves that this planner has a "cel-ass-tial" design, and she loves all of the "star deedles" on the cover.

You can't see it in the video, possibly due to YouTube's compression, but I believe this mention of "star deedles" is a surprise reveal that there'll be mini holographic images of the late, great Paul Walker hidden on the cover to pay tribute to his obscure 1998 Disney movie:

MV5BNDE3NWFiYjQtNWYxYi00MTZlLWJiN2QtMDI1M2U1M2ZjZjZjXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMTQ3Njg3MQ@@._V1_.jpg

kkk.jpg

Ruby mentions the ribbon, because she's still got 1,331 overpriced ribbons to somehow get rid of after her ordering far too many last time and only selling a few hundred. She says you can easily just tie the ribbon to the wiring of the planner, which doesn't look cheap and unprofessional at all. Most planners with bookmark ribbons tend to have them built into the spine and not charge £6 extra for them, but anyway...

Onto the first page, which contains a mission statement from Ruby and is not at all a waste of paper.

koooooo.jpg

And it's definitely not the exact same text that she's put in every single planner to avoid additional work, with the only difference being the illustrations. And those images definitely weren't just grabbed from free image service FreePik.com and that totally isn't why FreePik are included in the copyright section. None of those things are true at all! (Psst! They're all absolutely true.)

kooooollo.png

(Pictured: The last yearly planner, which is not at all nearly identical to the new one.)

The recycled mission statement claims that Ruby designed this planner from the ground up because she was tired of using multiple planners and decided to consolidate everything anyone could need into one handy planner. Which is why she still apparently needs to use two concurrent annual planners, Notion, to-do lists, and various additional trackers. It's also why she sells a To-Do List, a Mini-Master To-Do List, a Meal Planner, a Stress Tracker, a Kindness Journal, and so on.

At least the opening statement is on-brand for Ruby - it's full of blatant lies and bullshit embellishments.

Moving on to the 'About Me' section, Ruby says she usually gets bored filling out this part if it just has the bare minimum of 'Name' and 'Address' in it.

Not content with having this section be a clear, functional section with basic info for someone to locate you if you leave the planner on a bus or in a class, Ruby has opted to turn the 'About Me' section into a weird amalgam of a Buzzfeed quiz and a letter to Santa:

konhlll.png

If anyone does find this lost planner, they're very likely to toss it in a river after seeing that the insufferable owner is pretentious enough to use five different superficial aesthetics to characterise their entire identity. Again, this planner was designed for Ruby, by Ruby, and precious few other people are going to see much value in this nonsense. Only Ruby needs to be reminded of the many things she's pretending to be or like.

Ruby has filled hers out with inane nonsense and lies.

Her favourite things are random acts of kindness, like randomly subjecting impressionable or vulnerable fans to endless, toxic content and refusing to acknowledge it or change when faced with a deluge of concerned comments. (See also: Ruby being 'Grateful For' support online, despite providing none to the people commenting asking her to please stop posting blatant ED-baiting content and deleting concerned comments.) Or random acts of kindness like taking money from multiple charities and lying constantly to avoid giving it back.

She's grateful for her body, which she's absolutely destroying through malnourishment and unsafe exercise routines.

She's put her family fourth on the list of five favourite things, to show how independent she is, despite running home or dragging her parents to see her at least once a week, writing them daily letters, and generally being unable to cope away from them for more than seven days.

She's a self-proclaimed bookworm, but has grouped books with rain, tea, candles as one combined aesthetic - she doesn't enjoy reading, she enjoys the superficial appearance of being a bookworm.

She's looking forward to her family holiday after graduation, as opposed to the weekly family holidays that make up her academic year.

She's also looking forward to fully dedicating herself to her dissertation, despite still having no clear, relevant ideas for it.

Onto the contents page, and Ruby once again mentions how much she loves the "little star deedles" at the top of the page (#RIPPaul).

konhllgggl (1).jpg

The contents page is a confusing mess of pointless and/or irrelevant sections and topics, but perhaps their relevance will make sense later when Ruby explains them in detail...

Yet again, there's an entire section for morning and night routines for some reason.

And why dump your bucket list section in September (or include one at all)? Is September the month for pondering your mortality, and the grim spectre of death edging ever closer? I thought that was more of a late October kind of vibe?

konhllgllggl.jpg

There's an "add-rasses" section now, where Ruby pretends she knows more than six people and that half the people she knows don't live in her family home. And despite her obsessing over her many Victorian-inspired affectations and letter-writing fetishism, she still hasn't mastered the art of not making wax seals look like a completely half-assed mess.

konhkok.jpg

"Our morning routines set up the precedent for the day," Ruby says, proving that she should've included a 'Words to Look Up The Meaning and Use of' section, since it something she consistently fails at. Even her dog has no patience for this shit and starts barking loudly again.

A quick language lesson for Ruby:

You shouldn't say "set up the precedent". This makes it sounds like you're doing something before the precedent to plan it. In this case, you're saying your morning "sets up the precedent". So, when does the precedent happen? At brunch? Just say "sets the precedent", like setting a mould.

"Setting the precedent" also doesn't mean "setting the tone". A precedent is something that should be used as a direct example to follow in similar, future circumstances.

In legal terms, lawyers use the decisions and logic applied to old cases (the precedent) to help determine the outcome of their current one, for instance - if a judge applied a certain logic of law previously, lawyers will argue that the prior case set the precedent for the same logic to apply again in similar circumstances for future cases.

It makes no sense in the context you used it. If your morning sets the precedent for the rest of the day, you're saying that you should follow your morning routine all day long. Enjoy your entire day of brushing your teeth while pretending to read a book, Ruby!

kohhhok.png

Ruby rambles incoherently about morning routines. She apparently doesn't understand what habits are, and mentions that the habit section is for things that you like that work for you. Rubes, if you have to write it down and plan it, it's not really a habit.

This is a section that's only useful for Ruby and her performative tendencies - a place to note down the things she pretends to do in videos so that she can remind herself later, or just a place to write down things that she already does to make her feel like she's been productive by writing something, however pointless, in a planner.

She also says that it's really good to change your morning and night routines, which implies that most people have the benefit of having a wide open schedule to fuck around with and don't have to get up for work every day in a morning.

So, basically, Ruby's advice is to plan your morning by filling up your planner section with things you do anyway, then change it all after you've run out of space (just in time for the inevitable announcement of the separate "Morning Routine Planner" and the "Night Routine Planner").

After unintentionally explaining all the reasons that her morning routine section is a useless waste of space, she shows her own habits, which are a mixture of outright lies ("Straight to work." Ha! "Hearty breakfast," Ruby? Really?) and incomprehensible handwriting ("early unetch", "journauing on NONOn"

koook.png

Ruby moves onto the 'Resolutions'/'Things I Want to Accomplish' section. She evidently has no clue what the word "yearly" means, since two thirds of this section is taken up with space to detail your wishlist for life in five years or just the distant future.

Ruby has filled hers with goals that are either laughably unattainable (for her, at least) or where the bar is so low that it'll be hard not to accomplish ("Publish an article "somewhere"" - y'know, like a blog. Done! "Read Emma by Jane Austen" - Ruby will read the Sparknotes summary and mark this done.)

She's also set herself up for disappointment by expecting a first for her degree, even though she's struggling to meet deadlines or come up with even a basic foundation for her dissertation. Good luck with the Masters thing, Ruby!

Ruby thinks she can get a book deal, even though her dwindling popularity and vanishing relevance takes her out of the running for a vanity book deal, and no way can she get one on her own merits. Considering her lack of talent, her inability to use language coherently and the book she self-published being a major red flag to publishers, I wouldn't count on this happening, if I were her.

Onto more pointless time-wasting.

koonnkok.png

This is, according to Ruby, a place to jot down your regular go-to meals. She says "go-to" means "things that you don't have to, like, think about tyoo much to eat". Ruby, if you've had to either write in a planner or refer to notes in a planner to remember your favourite "go-to" meals, you've already thought about it too much. In reality, nobody does or should do this.

An entire section to note down all the things you already eat regularly anyway is a waste of planner space.

Unsurprisingly, Ruby has filled hers with insubstantial ED staple foods bereft of any real nutritional value. These aren't meals. Some are nightmarish (peas in a mug) and the only entries that come close to being substantial food are very blatantly foods that she never eats.

At no point when showing this section full of nutritionally barren meals does Ruby point out the importance of eating a full, balance diet of nutritious food. She simply presents hers as something to emulate.

Onto the "Expenses" section.

koyeryk.jpg

Ruby says she loves this section because it says "Bank of Pun-kin Productivity" (it doesn't). Ruby has added a 'Bank of Pumpkin Productivity' ledger design, and it looks incredibly childish, like a notepad you'd get with a kids' bank playset.

Rubes shows herself putting in 'Santaland Diaries - Waterstones', because she'll be chasing that sponsorship until she's six feet deep. It's unclear if Ruby uses this section for her actual expenses, uni expenses or just random shit she bought and felt like writing down for a productivity placebo.

koyerysgk.jpg

She inserts a random shot of herself placing a pair of scissors on the desk while wearing a different jumper. Why? Who knows.

She quickly moves on to the 'Books I've Read' section, or to Ruby, the 'Books I've Pretended to Read' section.

koyerysgkdh.jpg

Ruby mentions that this section now has three pages, since lots of people mentioned that one page might be enough for Ruby, but other people need more space to cover the amount that they read in a year. Ruby felt that. In fairness, things like that are easy to overlook when you do no market research for your planner and only pretend to read things.

We move on to the 'Library Book Log' section, where Ruby performatively rambles about the importance of libraries. Libraries are a vital public service, but hearing Ruby finger-wag at everyone else about how libraries are struggling, when she and her family are all Tories and are actively voting against financial support for public services, is a bit much.

Ruby, why not volunteer your time to a local library? Or instead of hoarding books you never read, why not donate them? Or use your wealth to buy and donate a selection of new release books once a month to donate as an "act of kindness"? No? Didn't think so. Once again, Ruby stresses that other people should do more, while she'll continue leeching off whoever she can and voting Conservative.

And onto 'Book Recommendation', where Ruby has taken the presumptive liberty of filling in one of your sections with a book that she hasn't read herself:

koyerysg..klldh.jpg

Then there's a dotted notes section, followed by a calendar:

koyegsklldh.jpg

Yet again, Ruby proves that this thing wasn't designed from the ground up to meet all her needs. This was a template calendar slapped on a design doc.

Ruby mentions that she's used hers for term dates. After highlighting them, the immediate question becomes: "How will you remember what any highlighted dates mean?" There's no 'key' section in the planner design, so Ruby awkwardly tapes half a post-it note in to make one herself.

It looks shoddy and cheap, and would've easily been solved by including a simple, blank 'key' section in either corner for the owner to fill in. But again, no thought, no research, no planning.

Ruby rambles about the 'cel-ass-tial' designs again, and mentions that she did the drawings.

koyegsdhgklldh.jpg

Which checks out, since it looks like a picture drawn by a four year old. Her parents probably taped this to the fridge.

kdhh.jpg

Ruby shows more pointless, wasted space - there's a page to tape a picture of your role model. This is a planner, no? The fuck is this nonsense? It's a step removed from having a section to scribble the name of your biggest crush in Year 7. At least Ruby didn't go ahead and pre-fill this section with her own face.

kkkkdhh.jpg

Ruby shows her own role model photo, taped in with cheap-looking graph paper washi tape to give this a serious, scientific subtext.

She doesn't explain who her role model is, though. Is it actress Saoirse Ronan? Is it Ronan's character in Little Women, Jo March? Is it the random woman in the backround with the bonnet and the blurry, sour glare? Is it the bonnet itself? Who the fuck knows?

Ruby mentions that these 'attach a photo of' sections are now included throughout the book. She enthusiastically says that planners should reflect your individual personality. Yet she's done away with blank sections for people to use to suit their individual tastes and has instead dictated how everyone should use them by printing bizarre, random instructions on.

kgskjhhh.jpg

If you would've rather written things in these sections, you're shit outta luck.

kgs.jpg

Ruby demonstrates the sheer versatility of these sections by using the 'Tape photos of your dream house!' section and plastering it with pictures of herself with some random children at school, because she had to delve deep into her past to find photos of her being social with people she isn't related to. See, you have the freedom to do whatever you want with these sections, so long as it's taping random photos to them!

Her creepy obsession with idolising fictional children despite being a 21 year old adult woman also continues:

kgshhh.jpg

Ruby moves on to how she actually plans her days with the monthy "sprahds". It starts with stupidity and moves on from there.

She says she writes all her plans, colour codes them by module (bear in mind, this is the "general" yearly planner, not the academic one) and then numbers them in order of "when she want to complete them". Why not just write them in the order you want to do them?

kgskjhdhhh.jpg

A jarring edit occurs and Ruby intrudes on her own video from some random point in time, her voiceover suddenly much louder than before as some strange noise whirs in the background.

kgskjhd..hhh.jpg

"Fountain pens also don't bleed through the paper and nor dyoo dippin pens-ahn ink," she says sternly. She proves this by writing on the paper in fountain pen, then refusing to show the other side.

She mentions that the whole planner is full of "fun" planner sections. Like a fucking 'Spring Cleaning' section:

kgskkl;dfh.png

Ruby has shown the versatility of her planner by once again pre-filling almost the entire planner section. If you has drastically different activities that you eanted to put on here? Tough shit. Ruby's rules. She's left you a third of the page space to use, what more do you want in the planner that you paid way too much for?

Almost all the things she's stubbornly pre-filled are also things that she never does.

'Donate old items'? You expect people to believe you do that? Or clean anything ever?

soprano-get-the-fuck-outta-here.gif

Next up, 'Reasons to be Happy':

kgskkdhdfh.png

"Someone's having the best day of their life." Note how Ruby doesn't put "Someone else is having the best day of their life" - if it's not happening to Ruby, Ruby don't care.

"People talking on trains" - Ruby never takes the train, she forces her parents to chauffeur her everywhere. Maybe her parents told her what trains are like, based on that time her mum posted a casually racist blog about how an Asian couple ruined their journey by (shock, horror!) listening to a film in seats they paid to sit in.

"The moment a plane takes off" - Ruby never goes on planes, but in her mind, the plane taking off means that her father has escaped arrest for tax evasion and is safely on route to a non-extradition country, which makes her happy.

""Too many" books" - Ruby has so many books that she doesn't have time to read a single one, let alone think about needing more than one page for completed books in a planner. Take that, haters!

"A dog's loyalty" - said by someone who has visibly disliked her dogs most of the time.

"A cat's pride/a cacu pnde/a cactus parade" - ???

So you've just survived a plane crash, and the medics tell you how lucky you are to be alive. You pledge that from this day forth, you'll never take a single second of life for granted. Every moment is a gift, and you'll cherish it dearly.

The paramedic says, "So what are you most thankful for?"

You look at the medic with tears of joy welling in your eyes as you ponder how lucky you are, and you say, "A cat's pride."

And then the paramedic recommends that they check you for severe brain damage.

kgskk;'#;dhdfh.jpg

Ruby's getting about as bored of her planner as I am, and starts rushing through it.

There's a section for "midyaah reflackshens". In August there's a space for a "bockit list". In October there's another "bockit list", in case you were planning on being dead by the end of September, completed all the August list and find yourself miraculously alive with nothing to do but bask in the majesty of a cat's pride.

Ruby adds that this the October one can be used as an Autumn bucket list if you're in the "Northern Hammus-Fehhr", which sounds like it might be in Scotland somewhere, or possibly Norway. "Because Autumn is a wonderful month," she says...

kgdfh.jpg

Next there's a Christmas gift section with spaces for gift ideas. "Just a few," Ruby stresses - you don't need to be thinking too much about other people! Christmas is about depriving other people and charities of money in Ruby's eyes, not spending her own!

hdfhkgdfh.jpg

Ruby mentions that the Christmas sections in the old planner and the new planner are slightly different, but to give you an example of how the new planner works, she's going to put it aside and fill out the old one instead.

554f8759ec674e49300b1533ab0dd544.gif

Despite Ruby claiming to own the company, she evidently could only get a single yearly planner to advertise, so she doesn't want to go actually using it to advertise the product she's selling.

hdflkh.png

Ruby's apparently planning to make Christmas cards, despite ditching uni to spend an entire day making Christmas cards with her mum and a friend of her parents. She's also planning to make wrapping paper, so some poor bastard's gonna get a poorly-thought-out gift wrapped in old, soiled copies of the New Yorker.

Martha is not getting a gift this year, but her grandparents all are, since Ruby's keeping them sweet to get her hands on the inheritance.

Ruby's also planning to "Buy gifn" and "Bug a Christmas tree". This will presumably be the tree at Blakeney's family home that she's chosen to rig with listening devices, so Ruby can eavesdrop at all times.

hH9FlLT.gif

Finally, after some blank dotted notes pages "for versatility" (because versatility is suddenly important again after boxing off half the planner with pre-filled bullshit), there's a space for back-patting accomplishments and a vision board:

hdflksgrh.jpg

Ruby, this is a planner, not Pinterest.

Ruby shows an example of how she'd use hers by taping all the same photos as before in:

hdfdhh.png

And if her filth-encrusted chipped nails weren't enough for you, then Ruby has made sure to get as many disgusting stray hairs on the tape as she could before sticking it on her planner for all to see.

hdfkkkdhh.png

So aesthetic!

And then she cuts up atlases, New Yorker issues and more to create a collage to tape onto the page anyway, making the gross hair shot completely unnecessary, although the end result still looks like crap:

hdfjijikkkdhh.jpg

And that's the tour over, so Ruby repeats her dubious spiel about how she designed the planner from the ground up and it includes everything she needs, despite all evidence to the contrary.

She's in the middle of saying this is the greatest planner ever and you'll never need another one when she realised that she wants you to buy the next academic planner and the yearly one, so she adds this on-screen note to say that they're both the best she's ever used:

hdh.jpg

The planner's £16, which is at least £14 too much.

And because nobody's buying those ribbons, you can get those for £1 with the new planner (because that worked out so well last time).

You can also buy the planner, ribbon and notebook (what happened to the planner doing everything, Rubes?) for a bundle deal of £21, because nobody's buying those even at discount prices either. Ruby, that's flimsy notebook is worth no more than £1. Price it as such.

Then she mentions that she'll also be releasing a timetable. Again, what happened to the planner having everything? If you regularly need and use a timetable, why didn't you include one in your planner?

h;[dh.jpg

Ruby has filled hers with lies - she expects people will believe she actually read Hamlet, let alone plans on re-reading it.

It goes without saying, but nobody should buy this crap. Buy a blank planner and customise it to your liking, or pick up any number of higher quality planners for much cheaper. Don't reward this clown and her half-assed money-making schemes.

Damn, she's graced us with an hour's worth of content over two days! I don't think I can get through all that without an aneurysm but @gossip_guy I'm looking forward to your hilarious reviews 😂
I don't know if I have the patience to recap the whole thing, it's all just so boring. It's just one endless montage of Ruby staring in fake childlike wonder at things, smiling lovingly at mummy, robotically reading poetry by others and atrocious poetry of her own, and parroting half-remembered factoids about things she doesn't care about.

It never ceases to amaze me just how dull Ruby manages to make these amazing places look. She's trekked to Paris, Italy and Edinburgh over the past few months and yet her life still looks hopelessly boring and bleak.

I really hope for her and her mum's sake she actually did something normal and natural off-screen on this trip that they actually enjoyed outside all the fake bullshit, because otherwise it's just a sad waste of time.

Ruby has zero genuine interest in reading or literature. She spend the entirety of her English Lit degree doing everything possible to avoid having to read anything, whether getting Blakeney to summarise things or reading Sparknotes instead of the text. She reads almost nothing for personal enjoyment and just lies about it. So what enjoyment is she getting out of making this whole trip all about her fake literary persona?

Untit7987ule657-098756756756445645989452342564564675636456474554646457656745644746574545646646...jpg

She stuffed the suitcase trunk full of books she won't read, saw landmarks dedicated to authors whose work she'll never read, journaled the same old inane drivel about the weather. She goes to a few book shops just to rub her dirty fingers across everything in sight, only to buy nothing. She makes her mum stop the car so she can twirl by the roadside. She stiltedly and overdramatically reads poetry aloud for what she claims is 90 minutes of the car journey and makes mummy listen to the Pride & Prejudice soundtrack.

One of the few occasions where she leaves her dusty cave of a room to experience somewhere new and she just wastes the trip putting on the same old performance of lies and fakery. What a dreary, hollow, pathetic existence.

She doesn't look particularly happy at any point, and is just doing her usual "gorp wistfully at things like a child seeing civilization for the first time" thing, and it doesn't look any more natural. The major exception is that Ruby looks absolutely fucking delighted every time she turns back to see that her mum is still there and she hasn't run off to join a better family.

That's half the video: Ruby performatively walks sheepishly towards something, gazes in fake wonder at random things, turns to her mummy to look for approval and then looks overjoyed that she's still there to tell Ruby how special she is for dressing herself and writing her own name.

If you think that's an exaggeration, then behold:

That's not even every example, I just got bored of making gifs after a while.

What's even more ridiculous is her yo-yoing between trying desperately to be a small child and trying desperately to prove she's a HOIYLY ADDJUCAYTED authority in literature and history.
Untit7987ule657-0987567567564456459894523425645646756364564667985675474674675675680d.jpg

She wants to be a child again so much that she's starved herself half to death to try to achieve that goal, but the end result is her looking older than her mother.

One minute she's addressing the camera with a claw-handed, bobble-headed, half-baked educational factoid about Hamlet as though she's an expert in the field, the next she's awkwardly and childishly trying to climb a tree in Doc Martins and MISSPAH TEENA DRASS.

When she's not climbing trees and clinging to mummy for dear life, she's engaging in her favourite pastime of reaching for books she has no interest in from the high shelves to make herself look VARRY small and young:

Neither her childlike fake persona nor her academic tour guide one are anything but cringeworthy and hilarious.

(Ruby decides that being a whole two feet away from mummy is simply far too much distance and takes a step closer.)

Ruby is so compulsively attached to her mother that you can't pry her away with a crowbar at this point, but it's hilarious that for all her overattachment, Ruby just does not seem to give a single fuck about her mother at all.

Mummy Bones mentions that she's been absolutely raving about wanting to go on the Caledonian Sleeper to Scotland for years. Despite her husband swimming in cash from all the earnings he hid away in an off-shore tax haven and Ruby getting rich from pilfered charity cash and endless sponsor money for products she never uses, neither one of them cared to take mummy on her relatively inexpensive dream holiday until Ruby got it for free. And she's forced to spend the whole trip catering to Ruby's whims, holding her camera, following her hourly schedule of dull tasks, praising her stupidity and enabling her madness. Syo koind and kahhring.

Even when they're not touring the city, Ruby makes mummy do all the same things as her. When Ruby reads, mummy must read. When Ruby "JARRNALS", mummy must "JAHRRNALL".

"The sky was blue yesterday, as it always was, but clouds hurried inwards as we passed Perth, farting together, merging with mist and tree and sky...THE ORDINARY/NORMAL IS ANYTHINK BUT."

It bears repeating: This illiterate, braindead fuckwit was given a First in English Literature by Exeter University. Here she is writing bad poems about what the weather was like while her and her mummy practiced synchronised flatulence.

Ruby is incapable of writing about anything but the weather, or nature, trying desperately to imitate all the poetry clichés she can. But what's the point in that for journaling? Where's the self-exploration in just running the weather report through a thesaurus? Who needs to look back on their old diaries to see nothing but a record of how blue the sky was?

She writes a poem about seagulls, because she was looking at a seagull at the time. Such imagination! This isn't even the first poem about seagulls that she's written recently! Everything she does in life is a rehashed slice of lazy ineptitude.

Ruby and her mummy fail at using the satnav, shoving in "Lochness" (not "Loch Ness"), not checking their recommended route and ending up on a street with "Lochness" in it, giving the distinct impression that Mummy Bones just keyed in some random bullshit, didn't take a second glance and just followed the directions anyway.

They find it absolutely hilarious that a street near Loch Ness is named Lochness View. These sheltered Tory assclowns have apparently never being out in the world at all, since the fairly common occurrence of streets and buildings being named after the places that they're in or near is just so funny and completely absurd to them. I bet Ruby's mind will be blown when she realises that most towns have a main street called Main Street and her mother will die laughing at how "funny" this information is. Daddy Bones won't notice she's died for several weeks.

"DISASTER STROIKES! Oiy cannot foind my rain hat!" - A sentence said sincerely by Ruby with no trace of self-awareness.

Ruby opines that more people who read TV might read books if they had more pictures in them, as though all people who watch TV are illiterate dimwits who require visual aids. The irony is that Ruby never watches TV, can barely read or use words and almost exclusively reads picture books aimed at small children.

Ruby mispronounces almost every name she uses in this video. She also mentions that she and mummy "OFFCWOARSE" went into a book shop because they "couldn't resist walking past". Umm, you did resist walking past, that's why you went inside. Again, she was given a First for English, despite no understanding of it. Good job, Exeter, your credibility is unmatched.

This is a sponsored video paid for by VisitScotland for tourist promotion, but Ruby manages to make the sights and beauty of the area look incredibly dull - camerawork is inept and constantly shaking and tilting at Dutch angles, and whatever she's saying for half the video is completely drowned out by the wind smacking the camera mic.

Scotland is full of wide, green vistas, but Ruby captures half of it in cramped portrait view footage. She has a huge disposable income - no filmmaking equipment is out of her reach - yet even after 7 fucking years of this, she's never improved in any way, and things like lavalier microphones, microphone windscreens, camera gimbals and tripods have just never occurred to her, meanwhile she'll spend £2,000 on an iMac she doesn't need.

They took a drone with them but only used it for one shot...of the motorway car park. Such majestic scenery. Book your trip now!

Ruby keeps trying to show some scenic literary landmarks, but clearly has no interest in literature and can't be bothered with making a competent video despite being paid a substantial amount of cash to do so. So we get fake, robotic narration parroting information she read from nearby plaques passed off as her own knowledge, and half-assed shots like the above, where mummy steps into frame to kick away a piece of gum/trash, but Ruby was just too fucking lazy to get a second, clear take, so this is all you see of this pavement monument.

The editing is the usual incoherence, but Ruby has gone one step further. You might remember from previous videos that Ruby recorded a bunch of random birdsong one time, but refused to say what it was for, then it quickly became clear that she was just slapping the ambient birdsong on her videos without a moment's thought as to whether it would fit. The sounds of birdsong loudly drowned out her voice in her own bedroom.

Here it's even more hilariously stupid: From 5:01 onwards, Ruby has added clear birdsong audio over shots of her wandering around the inside of an Edinburgh city hotel...

VisitScotland should ask for their money back.

So she woke up at 4:30, took TWO HOURS to wash her face and ”have breakfast”, and then started ”work” at 6:30? Considering we’ve seen morning routines from her where she accomplishes reading, breakfast, two outfit changes and a 45-minute walk in about an hour, she’s really flagging. Or taking a really long time to poop. Or lying.

I do wonder why people like to emphasise, ruby included, that she and martha are so very different? I mean I see A LOT of similarities: they're both really privileged (spoiled) and it shows in how they handle things like education, they both put on a daily act, they think of themselves as incredibly unique and their accents are not even vaguely authentic. Sure Ruby pretends she's a school girl home from some posh boarding school and Martha pretends she's from some rough inner city neighbourhood but same idea, right?
As parents do you not wonder why both of your kids live their lives pretending they're someone completely different? XD

"I am paying my mortgage completely myself"
Except you're not are you Ruby, because your tenants are paying it for you.

"I wanted to invest my money... house prices do go up"
Bingo.

"It's becoming increasingly difficult for young people to get on the property ladder"
And one of the reasons why is because people like yourself are buying properties that they don't even live in.

"I am moving into my own cottage"
You never moved in Ruby and I'm not sure you ever will.

This video has annoyed me even more than it did when it first went up! She's talking about it like it's a new toy.
