Does anyone remember her review video about the pros and cons of living in a studio? To me, that was the nail in the coffin for her unrelatability. In the whole 15-minute video, she didn't once mention the price disparity between a single room in shared accommodation and a studio (as a con or otherwise).

She didn't even think to mention the cost because, to her, it was immaterial. That's privilege right there, and the blissful ignorance of the fact that for her subscribers, the cost would be one of (if not the) most important factors.

Has someone seen her latest insta post? It's a photo dump from this week and it says "I had a tea date with my friend Vicky" and then shows a pic of Blakeney. Idk if it's either autocorrect or if she's trying to pass Blakeney as several different people, but if my friend of mine wrote a completely different name to mine I would be very confused.

How does her fake accent keep getting worse? At this rate, she'll be speaking in nothing but vowel sounds by the end of the year.

Maybe this is just a personal pet peeve, but I can't stand when people compliment others in this attention-seeking 'me me me' way. Particularly the second point - selflessness is a good trait to have, but putting others above yourself the entire time isn't healthy. I'd like to see Ruby compliment Blakeney as a person, not just view her in terms of what makes her similar to Ruby (or how Ruby views herself). Why not compliment her sense of humour, or her dress style, or the things that make her an individual, rather than what she does for other people? This post couldn't be more self-centered.

I felt a bit sad watching her keep yoghurt in her mini-fridge and pour it into some tupperware in her room, and especially when she tried to fill her water bottle using the bathroom sink, eventually resorting to pouring the water into a cup and transferring it into the bottle. She's 100% avoiding her flatmates and it'll be to her detriment. Uni is hard and stressful, but being able to bond as a house/flat and realise that everyone else is experiencing the same emotions is so valuable.

I have so many questions about this morning routine...

-how is she a 'recent' graduate? she handed her diss in 4+ months ago, she is a third of the way through her gap year
-does she not know how to brush her hair? genuine question because it looks and sounds painful every time she does it
-why is it terrible quality ASMR for the first half then narrated for the second half? pick one
-why does the porridge have so many random flavours in it? why is it made with TEA?!?!?
-omg the metal fork scraping the metal pan, please god no
-why is she soaking a pot in cold water? use hot water lol there is a boiling water tap right there
-why does she just go in the garden and stand there like some kind of weird apparition - maybe you don't have time for a walk, but you could play with the dog or something damn, don't just stand and be spooky
-final point WHY does she empty her unfinished tea into the bin right at the very end? the sink Ruby! use the sink for liquids!

Unless she's ditched veganism for fish and chips, her new alternative to posting triggering images of her food is apparently to just show other people's food instead? Just stop posting images of food! It's not hard!

Ruby should probably start actually reading books in general before tacking non-English books.

One of the mods had put up a poll about Zoom calls, and 30 people had voted for Sunday 7 pm. No one showed up, so the mod was understandably disappointed. A couple of people in the comments pointing out that the book club is dead and Ruby has ghosted. I feel too bad for the mod to post a screenshot. If Ruby was at all interested in anyone but herself, she’d have officially put an end to it, or made a statement of some kind, a long time ago. Now the mods are left to pick up the pieces. The #kindest thing anyone could do would be to just shut it down.

Imagine being Martha and wanting a glass of water from the kitchen and you get yelled at because your 20 year old sister is too busy cosplaying a starving Victorian orphan in there.
I mean, I like Ruby despite her faults but come on! I would be going as far away as possible as well.

lmao these people are truly living in a different world. Imagine having gone to school with all those facilities, even a nice indoor pool and perfect-looking science labs, it's a different level of privilege. Makes me feel sorry for myself having gone to a crusty village school with bits falling off the asbestos-filled 60s buildings, dictionaries being thrown at teachers, and always being told to use everything 'sparingly'
