Zoe says they want to add another dog along with Nala when they have “small children” and worries about how Nala will take to it. Are these two both living in an alternate universe, or does Zoe purposefully trick herself into talking about kids and time the way Alfie does, as though they’re both teenagers?

Zoe— If you had multiple “small children” (not babies) then being generous the earliest you could go here- if you were go get pregnant now- is like 5 years from now? So the eldest of your imaginary brood of small children is around 5 and you’ve had the others in quick succession. Nala would already be a senior dog. But lbr add a couple years to that for realism and Nala is no longer with us. I’m not saying it matters whether or not Nala is alive lol but the way she talks about this like in 2 years she’ll have several children and Nala and another dog is kind of embarrassing. It’s like she’s frozen in time where Nala stays 2 forever and they’re always just talking about what they (or in Alfie’s case, what HE) will do someday.

YES! When she asked whether Nala would accept a new dog and asked if it'd be harder for her to do so the more time went by I was like... Nala is an adult dog right now. This isn't a puppy anymore. Whether you get a dog right now or in 3 years, it's going to be hard for Nala because she's used to being the only dog and she's an adult now... Does she think her dog is a puppy? She has grey chin hairs, ffs.

I'm laughing at the fact that Zoe actually said the Covid lockdown didn't really trigger her anxiety -- instead, it's going back to normal society that has her stressed out. How nice that she could relax at home for half a year with no worries, while the rest of us struggle to pay bills and are desperately hoping life can return to normal as soon as safely possible.

Also for someone “struggling” with a return to normality she’s been doing an awful lot of socialising and breaking of government regulations. Can’t believe she has the gall to write advice in her stories about standing up to friends who aren’t following the rules!

As someone who got a second dog as a ‘pal’ for the first one I would not recommend it as my first dog was not impressed at all and even though she tolerates her now,you could tell she would be happier on her own lol (and that’s with a two year age gap and nowhere near the levels of spoiling/pandering that Nala gets).

also anyone throwing another dog into the mix when there are young kids to look after is either mad or very brave-I have two dogs,a toddler and one on the way and it’s hard work to make sure everyone gets enough attention.(not to mention the thought of training a dog etc with toddlers running around).

Zoe, if you really want to get married - why don't YOU propose to Alfie then?
Feminism and true love. But I guess the latter doesn't exist so that's why

Like previously mentioned by other posters, Zoe also strikes me as a mean girl type, and I really haven't forgotten that domestic violence "joke" she never really apologised for. I don't like her, but I do understand that going back to normal society thing. Sure,I missed my partner like crazy, am exhausted by all the steps I take to ensure the shielder I live with is safe, I missed the kids at work, and Lord have I gone stir crazy, but I also realised a few things. I had an excuse to just pause and that one person I work with that is now enmeshed in my friend group there is really sapping my energy when I'm around them. Now I'm thinking about how I will have to put up with the passive aggressive jealous crap and lies if I want to spend time with other friends, and make excuses when I have no energy to deal with her because she is the type to bad mouth people and freeze them out of groups.

I mean, her existence is pretty much the same as it always was, but she had an excuse for it. Now she will have to go back to defending it, and perhaps questioning herself and her life. Her life seems stagnant now, but for that short while, everyone's life was.

And that is why Lockdown didn't bother her. She is at her happiest when she is sat at home all 'cosy' watching tv and it gave her the perfect excuse not to go anywhere. As for having a baby and another dog get real Nala would be jealous of a baby in the house as she wouldnt be getting all the attention so throw in a new puppy and she would lose her tit!

This really pissed me off. She literally had the same life either way. The only difference is she occasionally drives to the office where everything is quiet, friendly and nobody does any work. It’s such a slap in the face to people who will really struggle to get back to normality (getting used to new travel guidelines, going back to work, etc). Not to mention her complete disregard for how coronavirus has affected families far beyond her tiny pea brain of thinking.

Can you remember when she went to the office one morning early and got stuck in traffic? yes Zoe people have to do that EVERYDAY and on their way home as well imagine that!

Which is especially outraging as her employees always have to go to the office. No working from home for them 🙄
I don't understand how/why people want to work for her...

Also if she really wants to get into mental health work DO IT!!!! Like there is nothing holding her back from picking up a new career in some form or other, or even volunteer for Mind or Samaritans. Anything would be better than festering in the not mansion and opening PO Boxes in the office!
I got into it through volunteering and answered an ad in the paper for people with lived experience of MH issues (had anxiety and OCD for years!). The NHS are increasingly using peer support workers who fit this too and the roles start as a couple of days a week. No experience necessary bar lived experience!

I was thinking about how many “best friends” Zoe has had and been through. Louise, Tanya, Jim, Tyler, Gabriella.. and now she’s leeched onto Mark. I mean I don’t know if this is a common thing but I’ve never fallen out or come out of contact with that many people that I’d once referred to as being best friends

She definitely picks and chooses who’s going to serve her the best at each time.

The only time I’ve really lost contact with friends is uni friends when we all moved back home or away for work - I’d still class them as friends though, and have contact on social media. Whereas when Zoe is finished with someone that’s the end!

If you have a link to more info about this could you DM me if that's possible, or if not post here (I hope people wouldn't mind)? I have OCD and am interested in learning more about the role - I haven't heard about it before.

That’s great that you got into mental health work using your own experience. I feel this is exactly the kind of thing Zoe could do if she is genuinely interested in mental health careers and helping others. But we all know she won’t as that would involve effort!!
