I had literally no idea what that story was about so thanks for explaining! I just thought she was being weird as per, but apparently she was being weird and attention seeking!

I think traditionally clementines are a Christmas thing. I have bought a wreath from my local florist and it has orange slices on it. And it was the case that you often got a tangerine or clementine in your stocking

I think there is a bit of a historical association between oranges and christmas in the UK - we always got an orange in our stocking growing up (usually a chocolate orange too) but I think it dates back to when oranges would have been a luxury item so would have been a real treat to find one in your stocking.

She definitely has overdone it though

yes they are more of a Europe thing. My friend had seen some thing online about making a garland from sliced oranges for Christmas. So she sliced them up and tied them up to dry because it said you don’t have to bother doing it in the oven. Problem is we live in a hot place so it became a magnet for fruit flies lol
