Thought I'd join this thread for hints, tips and motivation.
I'm 5ft 9. Started at 16 stone 4. Currently at 14 stone 13. Aiming for at least another 10lbs off before christmas. Just calorie counting at home. Weigh day is Friday so will see how this week goes.
Even though I've lost 1stone 5lb (19lb) I can't see or feel a difference yet. My jeans aren't any looser, face doesn't look slimmer so we keep chipping away.

I'm 5ft7ish, 13st7lb, size 14/16. I'd like to get to around 12st and be a comfortable size 12.
My Xmas goal is 12-14lb loss, which is realistic I feel. My first goal is my friend's birthday which is 10 weeks time, I'd like to be 13st or under, again, a realistic and achievable goal.

My issue is not sticking with things, daily weighing which I don't think actually helps me 😅 I'm such a lazy cook, comfort eater and have a sweet tooth

I'm 5ft6
Current weight: 164.4lbs / 11.74 stones / 74.6kgs
Goal weight: 140lbs / 10 stones / 63.5kg

I think it's totally doable by Christmas if I calorie count. My downfall is, I start really well and usually make mini goals (aim for 160lbs then 155lbs etc). But EVERY single time I reach 160lbs, I give myself a day off, which turns into 2, then I lose focus and quit. Before I know it I'm back up at least 166lbs and the cycle starts again.

I'm a size 12-14, hold all my excess fat in my stomach, upper arms and face and have visible cellulite on my inner upper arms which is horrid to see. I'd like to trim down to a size 10, minimum a 10-12. I have no access to a gym due to finances but I will walk and run.

Diet wise, my diets pretty poor. I'm a lazy cook and eater. Bad for snacking and preferring to eat 5 chocolate biscuits with a hot drink rather than eat a proper lunch. I am a pig when it comes to eating sweet things. Cakes, biscuits and chocolate is what has gotten me into this mess and probably why my body looks so awkward with an overhanging belly, flabby arms and double chin! I have very little fat on my legs. I know what I should do to lose the weight, I just struggle to stick to it.

I've been trying to lose weight and eat healthy trying to conceive but fall off the bandwagon each time I get a period!

This forum should be really helpful if I see you all tracking and losing. I posted the above about my fat storage for my own gain. When I think of slacking or "celebrating" 160lbs, I'm going to come and read this and remind myself what I'm doing.

Also, to track my weight I'll be using the Libra app which is pretty good!

Hello guys!

i’m going to join in with this too.

I’ll take my starting weight from post-honeymoon (where I put on a stone and a half!!) but it was even higher at the start of the year ha!

Start weight: 170.2lbs, 24/06/22
Current weight: 160.4lbs, 26/08/22
Goal weight: 140lbs

I’m about 5’4’’

I’m breaking it up into shorter goals and not putting pressure on any timescales as that really puts me off and doesn’t work for me if I have a week off. I’m hoping to be around 155 by my holiday at the end of September but as long as I lose I won’t be mad!

I didn’t have the best food day yesterday as I was out and had a few pints, but did still lose half an lb this week!

Yesterday was a complete fail, went out with the kids in the morning and the plan was to be home for lunchtime but nobody wanted to go home yet and we ended up in kfc 🤦🏻‍♀️ I didn’t have dinner but had a bowl of cereal later in the evening. Didn’t bother tracking calories at all yesterday. Kids are back to school next week so it’ll be easier to stay on track.

But, Monday mornings are my weigh in day and I had lost 1lb. I’m still struggling to accept that a 1lb loss is good, I think this comes from my slimming world days and everyone competing for the biggest losses
Any progress is progress 🖤

I’m 33, 6ft.
Currently weight 93.6kg/206.3lbs
Mini goal (holiday) 85kg/187.3lbs
Christmas goal weight 80kg/176.3lbs
Weighed in this morning at 90.4/199.3lb
Pleased with how I’m doing but think I’m optimistic with my goals. 4 weeks until holiday and I’m not going to lose 5kg/12lbs. I’ll be happy to lose 5lbs tbh. Haven’t got too many plans either so should be able to be on plan.
Might reconsider my Christmas goal too, change it to my holiday goal. I’m not feeling too bad about myself atm

Ooh can I join? Just had a summer of eating whatever the hell I wanted and now I feel like shit! Now schools back so will have more of a routine and some time without kids to make time to exercise.

Want to lose 2 stone by Christmas and will be trying to stick to 1400 cals a day 🤞

Hello 👋🏻 Changed from a very active job to an office one 10 months ago and really noticing the difference. Have known for years I need to move more and eat less but something in the last few weeks just clicked - realised it’s not going to be an overnight change, it’s not going to be easy, and that even people who are super fit struggle at the gym. I was always taking the easy option when I know sometimes I should push myself and see what my body can do. I know that’s what everyone says but somehow it finally resonated with me. Been focusing on eating when I’m hungry (and understanding my hunger cues) and moving more!

starting weight (15th August 2022) - 13st 6.4lb

not sure on my current weight as haven’t weighed again, but I measured my waist on Thursday and in those 10 days I’d lost 2 inches each off my waist, bust and hips 🙌🏻

wasnt happy with my current gym so just joined a fancy new (very expensive 😥) one and looking forward to going for the first time tomorrow. Came with 2 free PT sessions so that will be interesting, it’s also very class heavy and has 20+ a day which I’ve found are great for motivation so will be taking advantage of those!

Yesterday was my first day in a few weeks where I was completely on drank, ate well, drank lots of water and went to a gym class. Didn’t get my step goal but not beating myself up for it.
I’ve also downloaded the happy scale app so I can monitor how my weight fluctuates

Ooo love this!! I lost 10kgs with calorie deficit and exercise last year, then piled it all back on when I brought my house. Going to try and use the same method this time but without lockdowns preventing holidays and socialising it is going to be more difficult. I've got about 3 weeks worth of holidays planned in the next 16 weeks. Aiming to lose 0.5kg per week to keep it reasonably achievable.

Height: 169cm
Start Weight: 78kg
Christmas Goal Weight: 70kg

I am going to try and do 30 mins exercise at 70% max heart rate every day I am not away from home 😅.
Breakfast - Muller Yoghurt 150 cal
Lunch - Homemade Potato & Leek Soup 343 cal
Dinner - Sausage, Chips & Curry from the chippy 😩 (matchday ritual) I hope around 1000 cals or less

So my official starting weight is 194lb and I’m 5”2. I’m sad that I’ve spiralled to this weight and I don’t feel good in myself at the moment but I’m really hoping I can change it. I’ve yo-yo dieted for years and only ever seemed to gain weight 😔

I’m counting calories and I’m under for today and feeling positive about tomorrow. I am hungry but I think that’s due to the sheer drop in the volume of food I’ve been eating vs over the Christmas period!

My goal weight I’d say would be around the 10 stone mark but honestly I’m more interested in what I see in the mirror.

This thread seems to have died a bit - anyone still going?

Today's weight: 11 stone 2. Seems to be slowing right down now.

2 lbs off my Christmas target with a week to go; if I get 1 more lb off I'd be happy with that to be honest! Not bad to be 1lb out.
Today's weight is 11 stone 0.5! Made it before 2023, I'll take that.

Looking forward to a NY challenge, I want to lose another half a stone and then I think that'll be me done.

I'm easy re rules. I weigh every day and track it on HappyScale, happy to see calories or food plans etc, I track food on Nutracheck and exercise on my Apple Watch :)

Hi all, I’m going to hop on board this great new thread. Thanks for setting it up 💖.
I’m 46 years old, female, single mother of one daughter. Between 2013 and 2016 I lost three stone courtesy of a combination of Slimming World (the first two stone) and a failed relationship attempt with a gorgeous, but unreachable man (the third stone).
I did really well over lockdown to keep within a healthy weight range, but over the past twelve months I’ve regained all of the three stone I’d lost. My child was unwell and my own self-care went out the window while looking after her. Thank God, something just clicked in my brain last week that if I didn’t reign things in with my careless eating, I’d soon reach my heaviest ever weight. So I weighed in at Slimming World on Friday and am going to stick with it.

My starting weight last week was 12 stone 2lb. I also took tape measurements and my waist circumference is currently 37 inches. I also measured my thighs, upper arms and bust. My plan is to take my measurements again after every half stone loss. I’m aiming to have two stone gone by Christmas and to have reductions in all my measurements.

I never heard of Happy Scales so am looking forward to downloading that! I’m also going to try to vary my diet a little bit.

I was proud of myself today. I bought a cooked rotisserie chicken from my local supermarket, and discarded all the fat from it before serving it up! I’ve also set an aim to do 15mins of light exercise every day.

Good luck everyone!

My activity levels have been crap due to the heatwave. Desperate for it to cool down so I can do nice walks at lunchtime.

Starting weight…

74kg (8kg gain in 8 months 😭, Calorie goal 1400, prioritising protein and fibre

I lost a lot of weight last year and I know my jeans will be tight when it comes to autumn this year as my weight has slowly crept up. I can feel it in my face too 😭
