When a couple of women I know who are my age started having grandkids around two years ago, that made me feel old. Being old enough to be a grandparent is definitely old, no two ways about it 😂

Agree. It's quite unnerving. When the child was born, my friends were quite low key and some seemed a bit non-plussed and not enjoying being called Granny but after around eight months they are unavailable because they're babysitting - and seem happy about it!!!!

One of them is now looking after her grandchild for three whole days a week and she used to be a permanent fixture in my exercise classes.

Just listening to the radio and Air On A G String was playing. I found myself automatically saying out loud 'happiness is a cigar called Hamlet'

I’ve always had a really great memory but now I’m getting on (I’m 63) I keep forgetting things and it makes me feel so old and decrepit. I forgot my purse when I went out yesterday so no cards or cash on me. Luckily I was with my husband so he rescued me!

Knowing that the early 90s were now 30 years ago. Cannot compute!

I pick staying in with good tv and nice food over going out drinking and socialising.

Mentioning Kylie and my kids thinking it’s Jenner. No, its Minogue and they have no clue who she is.

When I complain about how loud it is...in the pub! I used to stand next to the loudspeakers in clubs!

Not liking the music anymore
I hate most new music I hear with a passion. It all sounds like one depressing dirge, everything the same.

I listen to the stuff my mum did when she was growing up, it's so much more satisfying and relatable to me.

When I feel I should be sitting down on the bus and young people don't give up their seats.

Same. But in my case they were very young parents, so I'm clinging to that 😅

30 years ago for me means the 1970s and indont Carr what anyone says 🤣
No, it's the 1960s -
Three Lions on a shirt
Jules Rimet still gleaming
30 years of hurt

Can't believe Euro 96 was nearly 30 years ago now.
