I don't believe she didn't know about them. A reputable breeder would have insisted on meeting them both surely?

Hope those little cuties bring her some much needed joy and happiness, and give her something to focus on. I've got a British Shorthair. I didn't want to adopt, I'd always dreamed of having British Shorthair, and I wanted to bring him up from being a kitten. They are an easy going breed and they are best kept as indoor cats which I wanted, I couldn't stand the anxiety of my cat being outside alone potentially getting run over or into fights. We took our time finding a family breeder we are still in touch with now. Probably an unpopular opinion but I just think it's a very personal decision.

I don’t think she should be judged for having a certain breed instead of going to a shelter that’s their decision to make. Like some people like to have a certain breed of dog 🤷🏼‍♀️ Each to their own I think.

I have had experience of British shorthairs and I completely agree that they are a lovely breed and have a really nice nature. I can see why people with children especially would go for that breed. For me personally though I would rather adopt as I have experienced animal shelters and they are heartbreaking places. I understand it may not be for everyone but moggies can be really lovely cats too ❤
I hope the kittens make her happy though, I felt really bad for her when Meme died as you could see how much she loved her.

Omg, reading some comments on here! Just let her be happy, she’s obviously been grieving and missing meme nobody likes to watch people be upset and grieving. Some of your sound a right barrel of laughs on here 🙄
Thanks .... "Just let us comment" that's what this thread is for right 🤷 Noone is denying her any happiness, just felt it a shame that there's so many equally adorable kittens that have been abandoned that she could've given lots of love to

Absolutely each to their own, we are also as entitled to have our opinions as she is on choosing to spend loads of money on 2 kittens

I just think it's a shame that she didn't get a rescue because with her following it would've helped raise awareness of how important it is and perhaps encourage others to do the same. It also surprised me that she went for a breed as Meme was just a standard (beautiful) moggie. But each to their own. It's worth noting too that you can also rescue breeds, I have heard lots of stories of cats and dogs being rehomed because they're too old to breed 😓

She won't deal well with them destroying the place. Que the " we just didn't have the time for them but they have gone to a loving 5* new home" I give her 4 weeks.
I really dont think this will happen. She has been a bit of a nutter the past while and the dead cat chat had me close to unfollowing but I dont think she is the type to get a pet then get rid of it. She is more likely to spend huge amounts of money on special toys or they scratch things cats use.. buzzing for more cat chat 🥴

Im probably repeating.....but....

100s of abandoned kittens and adult cats waiting in shelters for their forever home, but obviously they aren't good enough for nikki.

A quick Google gave me the cost of said kittens and literally loads of same breed needing rehomed. Not a criticism of her getting "brand new", it's her choice , or wooden features' choice as she'd have us believe, although I called it weeks ago he'd "surprise" her for Christmas,.

It's just a good job the people who purchase her used clothes online don't have the same outlook, despite the fact she doesn't sell particularly cheap.

Anyone else notice the Christmas tree being absent, when she throws the bauble to reveal the kittens. Makes me think she’s had them a couple of weeks 🧐🤔

Omg they’re just cats, what does she mean it’s the first day she’s been able to get ready and tidy the house, a bit dramatic if you ask me, ffs

Yeah Im confused, are kittens that much more work than puppies? Im not a cat person but when we first got our dogs yes they chased each other, chewed things etc but it didnt stop me getting ready, going to work, living my life!

I own a bulldog & he wasn’t cheep, but I wanted one with zero problems regarding nose, throat, joints etc. But saying that I do donate to the bulldog rescue, I want to help but I don’t want to get attached to a dog that may not live long 🤷🏻‍♀️ If that makes any sense
