I’m vegetarian (I eat cheese but not eggs or dairy) and I take a centrum multivitamin every day, plus recently started taking omega 3 fish oil capsules (I know these aren’t vegetarian friendly but thought they were the lesser of two evils instead of eating fish!)
Ive recently heard its actually worse to take fishbowl capsules than eat fish, as it take a huge quantity of fish to produce the concentrated oil for the capsules, therefore all the toxic waste within the fish such as plastics and Mercury is concentrated into the oil. I am vegan and in the past have taken a vegan omega supplement which is made from algea, which is where the fish actually gets its omega from.

If you want all the info on the oil there was a section on it in seapiracy on Netflix.

I was told a few months ago i was also low in Bit D. Been taking 20,000IU Vit for 3 months at 2 a week. Can I ask did you feel any difference at the end? I haven't noticed any improvements but not sure whether I should or not 🤷
It depends on what your initial symptoms were. my Son was sleeping 22 hours a day, an I mean actually sleeping not just resting, basically he was hibernating 20,000 iu 3 x weekly for 8 weeks and he did feel better. GP was rit though, didn't have him back to retest and showed no interest in finding out why it happened until I went ape tit.

Oh gosh, your poor son. Glad he felt a better after his course, you should have to kick off for basic care!!

I take multivitamins and ferrous sulphate. I am deficient in a few things due to medication and an eating disorder. I feel a lot better since taking them!

Multi vitamin and a leg vein one from H&B to help poor circulation.
May I please ask, does the leg vein one really work and give good results with your circulation? X
Edit to add, sorry, I see you've kindly answered this since I posted! X

It does, I never knew about it then my husbands district nurse said about it. I’ve always had tonic water too as that helps. I also have itchy skin allergy so take antihistamines at night, so that combined helps me.
it’s so hard to describe restless legs to people! My husband is actually paralysed and mocks me for my annoying legs when he can’t move his lol

May I ask which antihistamines you use? My skin allergies are really playing up atm and the ones I’m using just don’t cut it.

I have a Berocca with MSM sulphur powder, and take Vit D, high strength Vit C, zinc, magnesium, probiotic (never get stomach bugs) and dessicated liver tablet which is high in iron, Vit A and K.

Not the same at all but my 9 year old son suffered with really painful legs (growing pains?) and I had a google and got him a multivitamin with magnesium and he's never complained since about them hurting.

I use the cheap ones b&m I take 2 x10g. And I have the drowsy ones at night.

You can also get a magnesium oil to spray on your legs, I got it from Holland&Barrett, it was good, apparently it absorbs really well through the skin.
I might look into that too thank you

I took magnesium for restless legs for ages with no luck then my GP suggested iron supplements. My ferritin wasn’t too low (mid 30s) but she’d read a report that it needed to be much higher (over 50) if you had restless legs. Anyway, after a month of iron supplements it completely cleared up so might be worth a go if you are struggling.

People who take collagen do you notice a difference? And where do you buy it? There are so many online, I don’t know which ones are good and worth it
I got mine from MyVitamins! I haven’t been taking them long but I hope they work for my skin!

Some of the parameters for what is considered adequate levels are way out of line and a lot of GPs are slaves to blood tests. I wish more of them would use the duck test, if it waddles like a duck, quacks like a duck and swim like a duck, there is a good chance its a bleeping duck.

Vitamin D. I'm fair skinned and have a history of getting spots and abnormal moles after sun exposure, so the last thing I want is to risk skin cancer by being constantly in the sun. I also live in a fairly cold and grey place that's freezing for at least half the year, and we don't get much sunlight even if we wanted to so Vitamin D is essential.
