On yer Boris bike lol"London mayor Lord Sadiq Khan has said he is a "victim of a scam" after he was convicted of failing to tax a car "he does not own".
The DVLA has launched an investigation after the 55-year-old politician was fined in a controversial fast-track court system after being accused of not taxing a 24-year-old Nissan Micra."

This government pretty much HAS stopped oil hasn't it? They've certainly done for North Sea gas ...Bad day at the office for Burnham
It’ll be unaffordable soon enough. This government pretty much HAS stopped oil hasn't it? They've certainly done for North Sea gas ...
Probably not. He’s too much of a liability for them.I wonder if Nigel will actually let Zia run in this by-election?
How will he make in to no.10 north now?! He’s trapped in the big smoke.Bad day at the office for Burnham
What do you think is wrong with ULEZ? Is it the improvement in air quality which helps prevent people dying?Hope he enjoys the hundreds of cars that will now be registered to him going forward
Not sure how we can trust him to manage London or the ULEZscamscheme if he/they can't do anything about random cars being registered to him or to random other people.
Show me how that improvement in air quality is necessarily down to ULEZ, and not simply down toWhat do you think is wrong with ULEZ? Is it the improvement in air quality which helps prevent people dying?
People did that before in protest at the ULEZ, so its probably why this has happened anyway.Hope he enjoys the hundreds of cars that will now be registered to him going forward![]()
They don't do enough to maintain the area and force tenants to keep their properties tidy.Councils and HAs don’t do enough to tackle antisocial neighbours, imo.
Well, I never claimed that an improvement in air quality was solely down to ULEZ in the first place, but if you want, you can read about the study which researched the impact of clean air zones on children's lungs. https://healthpolicy-watch.news/londons-clean-air-zone-reversed-pollution-damage-to-childrens-lungs/Show me how that improvement in air quality is necessarily down to ULEZ, and not simply down to
1. General improvements in emissions from ICE vehicles that were in the pipeline anyway as car tech continually improves
2. Fewer cars on the roads in general due to the ongoing effects of Covid and the greater amounts of working at home
3. Punitive parking charges introduced by so many London boroughs in recent years
4. Replacement of diesel buses and indeed on many routes, quite drastic cut backs in the number of buses altogether
5. Opening of the Elizabeth Line taking a lot of people out of cars and buses
You can't.
The claim that any improvement in air quality is down to the cash grab ULEZ and wouldn't have happened anyway especially due to 1 and 2 above is very dodgy ground.
