I think it’s really easy to dismiss them as thick. But if your life is really rubbish, you live in a grotty council flat on a horrible estate full of feral kids, your town centre is falling to bits and you can’t get a job it’s very easy to fall for “it’s the immigrants fault” when it’s sold to you by someone like Farage. He’s well spoken, sounds intelligent, went to a good school, so he must know what he’s talking about. Plus he likes a cheeky cig and a pint, so he’s just like them

And it’s far easier to punch downwards at the people below you on the ladder than look upwards at where the blame really lies.Look at how many people voted for Brexit because they believed the lies about cheaper food and £300 squillion a week for the NHS. When you can’t afford to feed your kids and your granny can’t get a doctors appointment and someone with a posh voice who can string a few long words together ( Farage, Johnson ) tells you they have the answers then you can kind of understand why some people went for it.

If you’re not dodgy in the first place then no amount of hidden cameras could film you happily accepting iffy donations because you wouldn’t do it.
The lengths some people will go to to defend these twats. I’m sure it would be just the same if instead of Snake oil salesman Farage, the “hoax” was perpetrated on Burnham or Polanski. But I’m willing to bet my left one that Burnham and Polanski, despite their many MANY faults wouldn’t be caught dead doing anything like this.

Even when they are found out they don't come up with any kind of genuine and believable counter defence.

None of the Reform voters seem to see what is going on. They are just blindly following the mantra that the Party reel out. Every political party is accountable, am sure that most voters don't agree with everything that their political leaning party do and say.
Have seen some of those blinkered comrades at the conference being interviewed, some of them say they have not seen the 30 minute or so report on these dodgy dealings. So this comes out last night and some dedicated Reform attendees don't see the need or compulsion to actually spend half an hour watching what their leader and party top aides appear to be doing.
Surely they have some questions for the party heirarchy, not to blindly go along and say 'nothing to see here'. One wonders what kind of money is floating around for people to be so hard line in their devotion.

So the two men James Orr, head of policy and Dan Jukes who is Farage's top aide, have 'stepped aside', the have 'left the building, they are not coming back'. Wheeling, dealing, bending the rules, they are all in it up to their necks. It is disgraceful that a political party is so deep in dodgy dealing, even the original Del Boy has nothing on this lot.
One by one each one of Reform are being found out to not being straight up with funding, donations, polling and abiding by electoral law. Obviously 'bang for buck' Farage has nothing to do with it at all.
