There is another thread on Tattle in which you can exhibit your particular views about the asylum system and 'the proper channels' and I think you would be made rather welcome. However I won't encourage you derail this thread by responding to any more of your comments on this issue.

I'm just surprised there's anyone left who gives a tit about anything Farage has to say tbh. He's totally irrelevant these days.
I dunno though. I might come around to him a bit if the emergency announcement is to say he’s agreed to take on dolphin man in a boxing match. ( Because let’s face it, that would be Farage’s only chance of winning).

He has bigly numbers of supporters. Hardly any of whom appear to vote in elections.
Its not just about this election. This is just the start and gives Reform something to build on should they do well. However, many people will still vote Conservative as they fear a Labour government. Labour will of course win the election but once people see that Labour are not serious about stopping the boats and that they are just as useless as the Tories, Reform will either do two things. Make Conservatives true Conservative again or Reform will only grow and become the Labour parties main opposition going into a GE in 2029 and then who knows whats possibleAlright see you back here 7th July to see how that panned out for you

I have no idea given I'm talking about Tower Hamlets and not Rochdale or Bradford.
But I suspect that wasn't the point you were making, was it.

Going to go out on a limb and say I really, really doubt that the women of Rochdale and Bradford would want their ordeal weaponised to support xenophobia.
The the 'head in the sand' mindset of professionals enabled their abusers to get away with things for years - I doubt the victims wanted that either.
I would suggest that an inability to face up to reality is generally not helpful.
What they do want is justice and for people to talk about what is happening in towns up and down the country to safeguard future generations. Ironic isn't it that one of the reasons this went unpunished for so long was for the fear of being called racist or seen as xenophobic to those that were (and still are) committing the crimes. Shame on you.
On that last point we agree but if you look through this thread I don't think it's me struggling with reality...
It can be true that those women didn't speak up for fear of being perceived as xenophobic, and that there are other people weaponising their experience to support their general xenophobia/racism. I have nothing to be ashamed of in pointing that out.
