I feel in such a mess.
Took us 2 years to conceive, due to male factor. We were told with numbers it’s not impossible but hard. Anyway we conceived in October, lost the baby at 16 weeks in January.
We are looking at starting ttc again, this cycle. First AF has just finished.
im 32 (33 in July) we have been told nhs help we now have to wait 2 years from January. We have enough for a round of ivf privately.
But we are both not sure if we are ready for ivf yet. But I’m also feeling so panicked that time is running out, as it took us so long to conceive first time. We have made lots of lifestyle changes, and husbands numbers improved just a tiny bit when we did conceive. So is it worth us trying for 6 months naturally first. People keep saying aswell that I’m more fertile afte a loss.
does it sound like a reasonable plan for us to try again naturally for 6 months, then rethink about ivf.
I know there’s no right or wrong. I just feel like I needed to type it all out (humour me)

Yes! As I’mthankyou_ said, they are so useful! I use Flo and it has never got my ovulation date right. Sometimes I wish I’d never discovered them though as I’ve become a bit obsessed with tracking everything now and I’m so far down that hole I don’t think there’s a way back to the “just relax and see what happens” mindset. (Edited as I @ the wrong person 🤦🏼‍♀️)
Yes me too! I find myself finding the best light for the best result 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m trying to follow the sperm meets egg method too just so I don’t get overly obsessed with tracking my cycle!

I think we all do that! 9th October for me 🤣 wishful thinking
Yeah! Totally! For me it would've been around the 5th of October, which is the birthday of my maternal grandmother and dad. So I was kinda really hoping for it.
Ah well...

Hey TTC no 2! 3rd month trying. Using Easy@Home OPK's & my peak is due any day now. I have chronic folate deficiency & worried that will affect my chances at conceiving.

Really interested to hear everyone else's posts & have somewhere to talk!

Hi how is everyone doing?
I’m about to start my TWW. I feel like my AF week & ovulation come around really quickly but the TWW always feels like 2 years. But I guess with lockdown easing soon it will be easier to stay distracted with other things.
I’m feeling quite relaxed this month, I’ve asked my husband to hide the stash of HPT I’ve kept in the bathroom to stop early testing and didn’t bother with an OPK this month. We just DTD when we felt was right. Got everything crossed this month.
Good luck to you all ❤.

I think I’m out this month already guys 🥺. I’ve had really really sore boobs for the last week which is very unusual for me so I was convinced I must be pregnant. Period is due tomorrow. My boobs stopped hurting yesterday and I feel so down and gutted about it..

Have you thought about not telling him when your peak is so he doesnt feel as much pressure. My hubby hates such organised sex so I don't make a big deal out of it when it is my peak as one time it didn't work out well lol.
Wanted to check before I answered haha but I completely get it. My partner has felt the pressure too this month.

It’s difficult isn’t it because you don’t want to take the fun out of it, but as soon as there’s a schedule it sort of goes that way. I was wondering if it would help if my partner didn’t know the ins and outs of my peak days so maybe he wouldn’t think about it so much, not sure if that would help yours either?

I really put the effort in this month (nice underwear, outfits etc) but towards the end of trying my poor partner was like it’s not you I’m just exhausted 😂

I share your frustration though, I’m a similar age to you and it feels like you just have a small chance each month that you don’t want to waste!
Thats the thing I hadn’t told him yesterday was my peak just that it’s around this week. I’m never wearing nice underwear again it clearly scares him, primark £1.50s everyday 😂

thank you girls for responding and making me feel less stupid x

Hi, hope I can join you all?

Currently day 5 of this cycle, my first cycle since miscarriage (first ever pregnancy) in December :/ it took 3 years to conceive that one so hoping it doesn’t take as long this time! Xx

I’ve heard really mixed things about the vaccine and pregnancy. Is it advised that you don’t have it when TTC? I probably won’t be offered it for ages yet but had already decided I wouldn’t have it while trying, but a friend has been sending me bits and pieces about how it’s safe for pregnant women.
At present the advice is not to receive the vaccine if pregnant, or get pregnant between the vaccine and booster, or get pregnant within two months of the booster.

Initially the vaccine was given, with the plan that the booster would be three weeks later so to allow three months ish from the first dose.

However now a lot of boosters are being delayed up to 12 weeks as I think the aim is to get as many front line staff having the first vaccine as possible before focus is shifted to boosters. There's no data on the vaccine in pregnant women as it's unethical to put pregnant women in trials and so although its very likely that it is safe it can't be guaranteed so avoidance was advised in the first place. Since then I've seen articles suggesting that women make a personal choice and weigh up the risk to baby/benefit to them if mum has health conditions that would make her more vulnerable to covid. That's the approach in the USA with the Pfizer vaccine.

It's just hard to know what to do now - plough on and wait, or try for a baby (I've just completed one try cycle but didn't fall pregnant- I wasn't super accurate though as my best day fell on Christmas day and I was just too bloody full of cheese!).

There's always a risk I might be moved into a 'hot" area by which time I hopefully may be pregnant and moved out, or by that time more data will be available and I'll be able to make a more informed choice about it. I'm definitely pro vaccine and am hoping by the end of the first half of the year they will begin offering it in pregnancy like the flu vaccine as they will know the safety profile. At the moment I just feel a little bit like a guineapig

Officially 1dpo today, had the most horrendous ovulation pain last night! Had to take pain killers, have a really hot bath and had a hot water bottle but I'm just taking it as a good sign. Got my static smiley yesterday morning and ddt the night before so I'm feeling positive for this month ☺

I've also made a promise to myself I won't test early this month and instead treat myself with the money I'd have wasted on hpts, if I get my period.

Well my period is still late.... cramps have disappeared & my cervical mucus (tmi sorry) is awful, had to change out of my scrub pants already because it literally soaked thru my underwear and pants. Tests still negative 😪 really wish my body would just be clear and say I'm pregnant or not!

Hi all,
I dip in and out of this thread. I usually read when I'm waiting for AF, as I feel okay the rest of the month however I know its coming again so I'm anxious. When I'm feeling okay I prefer to not read about ttc, as it stresses me out a bit, I prefer to keep it off my mind if possible(though it's very hard!).
My best friend had told me she is pregannt today, she already has children and hadn't been trying long. I'm truly happy for her but it's hurts badly for myself. I feel so selfish for feeling like this.
Is anyone else here over a year in trying for number one? I feel so alone at the moment.

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. I think people just expect you to be grieving and that is it but physically it’s so hard. Worse than I could’ve ever imagined. My miscarriage was also missed so I had to have the tablets on my cervix and when they said you’ll bleed heavily nothing could’ve prepared me.
I hope you had good treatment from the NHS. I had to be kept in for two nights. If I’m lucky enough to fall pregnant again we might have to consider private healthcare as I was treated appallingly
I also felt like I wasn't treated well at all. I took the tablets orally but nothing happened. So took more the next day. And it was horrific. So sorry you went through this. I really hope for a happier 2021 for you xx

Does anyone else feel like EVERYONE is pregnant right now. Celebs, friends... Everyone. Seriously. Fed up of seeing announcements
