Thats the thing I hadn’t told him yesterday was my peak just that it’s around this week. I’m never wearing nice underwear again it clearly scares him, primark £1.50s everyday 😂

thank you girls for responding and making me feel less stupid x

That's so funny. Yeah I never bother with the fancy underwear...doesnt stay on long anyway does it 🤣🤣 you're definitely not stupid, you want a baby and I think in my experience with me and friends, is that the second you decide you want one...its pretty hard to not become obsessed with it all. I know you think time may be running out but you are in your prime, I'm 9 years older lol. I had my first at 34. You'll be fine! Just stick to the primani pants 🤣🤣 xx

I was exactly the same and took a step back. I tracked but didn’t think about it much. Best of luck to you!!! 💖💖💖
Congratulations 😍😍🥰🥰🥰 hope the next 9 months go smoothly for you! xx

I have the same. Even this evening it was 35.5 same as the morning. Wondering if I’m dead 😂
Yes me too! I’m sure it’s fine 😂 mine spiked to 36.5 after ovulation. This is my first month of temping so it’s all new to me. It dropped to under 36 today though 9dpo so not hopeful now this month 👎🏼 x

Yeah! Totally! For me it would've been around the 5th of October, which is the birthday of my maternal grandmother and dad. So I was kinda really hoping for it.
Ah well...
It’s so easy to get carried away with it all isn’t it. You’ll get there though ❤

I’m 6 months in for number 1 so not as long. I had the same feeling when a work colleague I’m close with told me they were expecting. Of course I was happy for them but felt a stab of jealously when they exclaimed “we only did it once without protection”.
I feel like I can’t really talk to anyone about TTC as they always say “don’t worry it will happen when you least expect”. That’s easier said then done especially in lockdown with not much else going on in my life!
Anyways I’ve rambled a lot. Sending you a big hug x
Yeah, its a bit all consuming at the moment isnt it because of everything that is going on. We're currently in the process of selling our flat and buying a house and that is so stressful I want to punch my husband more than do it with him 😂😂 im on my 2 week wait now...and keep trying to take deep breaths to stay calm but its difficult when so much stress is around us!

Nothing that happened to you was your fault and it certainly doesn't make you a bad mum. The fact that you're worried as much as you are and were able to carry on through an abusive relationship and poor health is testament to you being strong and being a good mum. Please don't blame yourself, your little boy is lucky to have you. TTC is hard but since your tests were all fine it should happen for you eventually, it's just tough waiting!
Thank you, I guess I just blame myself for the situations I was in and often think if I could turn back time I would do so many things differently. Good luck to everyone ttc. I guess also in our minds when we want something we analyse things more and also seem to notice more of what we miss or want around us.

Good Morning all,
Apologies if this has been discussed before. Just looking for some advice/re-assurance.
We stopped using all contraceptive mid 2017. I was tracking my cycles with an app. My periods returned after 3 months post contraceptive. I would say we were not 'trying' to concieve at this point. Avoiding the fertile window but seeing how it went and if we did fall on then great but if not we werent too concerned. Often my periods would be early or late so the fertile window changed once my period had arrived and appeared there were times where we had done it and I was in the fertile window. Last year we started trying more, not avoiding fertile window. Periods went very irregular last year when had been fairly regular before that (except the odd longer cycle once or twice a year) was going longer between periods. So struggled to pinpoint ovulation.Things seem to be settling again this year. After last year and no conception we have been referred for fertility treatment. This year have started using OPK to help the chances of concieving. I guess my question is - would you be concerned after 3.5 years of not using contraceptive and no pregnancy? I feel I am not valid to feel a bit worried as the first 2 years we were not 'actively trying?' But the last year upto now we were? Thanks

Am I the only person not using ovulation tests? I’m worried I’ll get obsessive so we’re going for every other day atm and hoping but if nothing happens after a few months I’ve said I’ll look into ovulation tests
I used them because my partner and i weren't living together so when i peaked I'd call over and give it the one shot 🙈 and obv if i was staying overnight we'd go again the next day. But they did become consuming, i was using one morning and night 5 or 6 days per cycle it got frustrating on months i didn't peak.
I think you trying every second day is perfectly fine, it takes the pressure off and it's not so clinical and forced.

So glad I’ve found this thread I’ve been feeling abit crap lately as everyone seems to be pregnant at the min! We aren’t ‘trying’ but have been hoping since I had my daughter 4 years ago (clomid baby) I think I dont want to admit to trying as I worry it will become all consuming so if people ask I say no (and boy do people ask!) sending everyone baby dust!

If you take your temperature before you get up, literally keep a thermometer by your bed and do it as soon as you open your eyes, if you track if you will know by your temp when/if you ovulate 😊
Thank you just saw this is still accurate on good old google! I did this the first time (I did everything haha) so will start as of tomorrow as I have the bbt thermometer ❤

I gave in and tested early today as been feeling really off the last few days (12dpo, period 3 days away) and got this... honestly can’t believe it! ❤ Wishing everyone else luck and positive tests, this was our 3rd month of trying and although i know that’s not long to try I felt so disappointed the last 2 months!
Congratulations! ❤

My levels fluctuate before CD19 when I had high levels all day (I test around 12pm and 4pm), but they were consistently low. On CD20 I had my peak at 12pm and it dropped to high at 4pm. But yeah, it was up and down in the low range before I reached my fertile window. Until you see the high and peak you are definitely wondering if something is wrong with you, but I've learnt that it's completely normal for it so fluctuate slightly before seeing that spike.

I started tracking right after AF which was extremely frustrating to see 13 days of low levels thinking something was wrong with me, but I had a feeling during my last cycle that I wasn't ovulating during the "textbook" CD14 (this is my first cycle using OPKs), but more like a week later or so. It was nice to see the data supporting it so far. At least I now have a nice baseline lol but yeah, I am trying not to be too optimistic that this is "the month" but seeing that peak got me so excited ughhhh. I felt some ovulation pain the day after my peak, I don't temp because I know it would be too much for me right now. Trying to enjoy the sex and the general excitement but now I am in 4 DPO and I know it will be hard to resist the test on 8 DPO onwards!!

Anyways I digress 😅

Edited because I suck at maths

Seeing yours is really reassuring, I didn’t realise it would jump up like that I just assumed it would increase gradually. Thank you for sharing it!

So easy to get carried away with it all isn’t it! This thread is a lifesaver, I drive myself crazy thinking about it all sometimes. It’s nice to know other people are the same 😂

Anyone having one of those nights? Coming to the end of my period which has been seriously painful. Hospital are having to refer me to gyno for more tests because my cysts are that bad. So naturally - I put one born every minute on TV. And now I’m spending my Friday night on the sofa crying because life is so unfair. And it’s bloody dry January so I can’t even have a glass of wine to cheer myself up🙄
It can feel overwhelming can’t it. One born every minute is emotional at the best of times but especially when you’re trying yourself! Treat yourself to something else instead, sending hugs x

Thankyou. That gives me hope. I know it's not long compared to some but when people are falling pregnant easily around me, straight away, it makes me feel like something is wrong, I can't help it. Hopefully it will just happen for me too X

Oh wow this describes me. I am burnt out. I feel okay in the month but when my period comes I can't help but feel devestated, and I feel like I don't want to do this to myself anymore.
I hope it goes well at the gynaecologist.
I also just think sometimes its better to stay away from other babies for your own mental health. I feel the same but then people just don't understand so I think I'll look rude. But then I tell myself, I'm doing the right thing for me. Covid lockdown has been my saviour for this to be honest, I have been able to keep away from family and friends new babies and pregnancies, and I feel selfish, but that is better for me right now, and only people who have tried for babies for a length of time understand that xx
Totally same! During the month all is well. But then you feel your period coming, then it gets there, then back to taking medication that makes you even more depressed...
I went to see a fertility psychologist a while ago. I can only recommend it. TTC is very hard, lots of disappointment, frustration, doubt, etc. So talking to a professional is really helpful.

Good news at the gynaecologist today. I have one egg getting ready to jump. It's already about 2cm. I didn't know they got so big before jumping 😅
Ovulation is due somewhere Sunday. So we'll be having a busy weekend 😏
Gynaecologist was also superexcited, she's a gem. So supportive!

So I'm feeling hopeful again!

Good luck to all of you! ❤

I’ve played with all the settings on the photo and that’s the clearest I can get. My mind is telling me it’s nothing but there’s that small bit of hope there until AF rears her ugly head! X

Forgot to add photo 🤦🏻‍♀️
I can see it too.... test again though as you said! Good luck!

So just a little update. I tested with a 25miu test when I got my positive yesterday. Had some really intense cramping today. Took another 25miu test this morning and pretty much so light. So tested with clear blue early detection and that’s pretty much negative too. (It’s more sensitive so should have been darker than the other tests) so another chemical 😭
Sending you love. 💓 xx

When I was using them, I didn’t get a gradual increase - just a sudden high result on my peak day. In the lead up to it I was wondering if I was actually going to ovulate because I assumed it would get higher and higher in the lead up.

The control line on the bottom one does look light though. Which app are you using? I used Premom and you had to get the box with the lines right up close for it to be able to read it properly. I always took mine in the same place, same time and same lighting too which seemed to help
I agree that the photos seem to be taken too far away from the strips to be able to properly determine the ratio between the test and control line but I am not sure which app is being used so I am not sure of the instructions given there.

Just like @Lulu Goss I use Premom and they have quite specific instructions on how to take the photo as well as (imo) clear instructions which makes my life easier. I'll attach photos from my last cycle and current cycle of using OPKs, I had to change the lightbulb in my bathroom between cycles so you can also see the difference in lighting, although it's only a difference of a soft and warm light and I saw that this had little to no effect on my photos of the test strips.

Some people have a sudden surge of LH and some people have a gradual surge, I fall into the latter category which you can see from my tests as well. But the only way I was able to see this was by testing at around the same time every day and twice a day as I was nearing my potential fertile period. I'd recommend testing twice a day as well until you have more knowledge about your own cycle so you know when you are usually reaching your fertile period x

You'll also see that between two cycles my fertile periods take place under different days of the cycle, your body isn't a machine so you might ovulate later than you might expect. Just keep testing, I know it can be frustrating, I only calm down once I see my high and peak levels 😅

After almost 1,5 years of trying... It looks... Positive?
I can't really believe it, so I'll retest tomorrow morning. But that looks like two lines right?! My partner and I are so confused and happy and confused!

Last periods were 19/12 and 21/01. I have PCOS and currently on my second cycle with Letrozole. Was expecting my period around today, but had no real PMS symptoms, so decided testing was in order.

I saw someone asking about Clomid. I've used that before as well (3 cycles, until it was out of stock or something), and had no real complaints. Letrozole came/comes with more complaints (nauseous around ovulation, very painful period), although dosage is perfect for me.
That’s definitely positive 😍 congratulations to you both 💜

Caved and did a test this morning and got a BFN. AF due on Monday. Whyyy do I do this to myself everytime ☹ I’m just so fed up of seeing just 1 line on the test every month ...
I’m sorry it’s devastating ❤ We are only asking for two lines. Treat yourself or pamper yourself. I pray it will happen for you soon. ❤
When I do a pregnancy test whilst I’m waiting I dream about all the ways I can surprise my husband and then only one line appears. I can’t use clear blue pregnancy tests as I can’t deal with it telling me not pregnant. Is anyone else the same ?
