Hi everyone, I hope I’m okay to post here. I am after some advice. I had a positive pregnancy test on Friday then I woke
Up at 4am Saturday with very heavy bleeding, tested again Saturday afternoon, still a positive and tested again today and a negative. I’m guessing it’s been a chemical pregnancy 😥. I have never experienced this before, if anyone has... how long did it take for your periods etc to come back? I’ve been off my pill for 8 weeks so I haven’t actually had a normal period yet. Any help or advice would be great appreciated! Thank you xxx
Hope you’re ok. When this happened to me my next period was a week later xx

Thank you! Ive really never been interested in babies before! Then all of a sudden, it’s all I can think about!! We had always said no kids for us.

a psychic told me I’d have a little girl when I was 33 - I wouldn’t believe it but she told me about all the tests I’d have (which happened) and bowel tests i had previously (it was just a random woman that came up and spoke to me, sounds random but she told me so much stuff a stranger just couldn’t know), ive got 18 months til I’m 34! So there is every chance I’ll be having that baby at 33 ☺

I love stories like that, find them fascinating! Yes you’ve still got plenty of time left till then.

I’ve wanted a baby for ages and my partner is finally on the same page. I just wish I’d come off the pill sooner because I feel my hormones are completely messed up now and each cycle they seem to be getting weirder 🙄.

In school they made out that you have unprotected sex you will get pregnant, not actually that easy for a lot of us.

AF has arrived. I’ve signed up to natural cycles. £40 for a year with a thermometer. See what happens. My previously fertile prediction was wrong according to this app so will see! x
I keep looking at Natural Cycles. I'll be interested to know how you find it!

Has anyone been more careful with medication when TTC? I’ve been put on antibiotics today, just wondering whether I should have mentioned this to the doctor or whether it would change what I was prescribed?

I’m so confused reading through the thread. I’m not sure what all the abbreviations mean etc. We’ve started trying this month after a miscarriage two years ago. I haven’t bought ovulation sticks or anything? Do I have to have them? We’ve just been having sex when I’m due to ovulate and a couple of days either side of that date. I don’t know if I’m downplaying it. Last time I got pregnant in the first month of trying but obviously it ended in miscarriage so now I don’t know what to do.

I know. Fingers crossed! I’ll let you all know how my re test goes in a few days.

I did. I started testing on day 5 (after AF had finished) got a peak at day 13 and tested the day after to make sure it has dropped then I stopped testing. Didn’t actually BD on the day of peak as husband works shifts but did a couple of days before!

Good luck! I have my fingers crossed for you! 💕

Thank you for the reply! Can I ask, did you go after a year of trying or before? I’ve only been trying 6 months so worried they won’t refer me but then if I suspect PCOS I feel like I’d rather know sooner rather than later! X
We’d been trying for two years! But I don’t see the harm in asking for a blood test for hormone levels or asking for a scan because you suspect PCOS

Would anybody reccomend the clear blue sticks with the smiley faces? All reviews on Amazon seem good. We are starting to try as of April (no earlier because I can’t cope with another birthday the week before christmas like my son 😂) and I’m using supermarkets own ovulation sticks at the minute to try figure out when I do ovulate etc.

Thank you x
I’ve used them the last 2 months but found I only get 1 day with a smiley when the pack says you’ll get 2 fertile days?. I’ve actually ordered some cheapies from Amazon to use this month so I can test twice as day. 🙂

So my bbt has confirmed I ovulated on Thursday, because of a few things we only had sex Tuesday and Saturday. Have I any hope or am I out this cycle?
We’ve just come off a medicated cycle (letrozole and hcg) so wasn’t sure if or when I’d ovulate this month.

Am I the only person not using ovulation tests? I’m worried I’ll get obsessive so we’re going for every other day atm and hoping but if nothing happens after a few months I’ve said I’ll look into ovulation tests
That’s definitely fine! Enjoy it x

I’m currently miscarrying. Sorry if that is TMI but because it was so early, nobody had been told other than my husband and I just need someone to talk to. This is my second miscarriage this year and my third in two years. I’d been put onto Dalteparin and aspirin when this pregnancy was confirmed as I have sticky blood (I’m under the care of my local recurrent miscarriage clinic) and I honestly thought that with treatment plan in place this time would be different. I’m just heartbroken. I desperately want a child but I don’t know how much more I can put my body and heart through when this is the result.
So sorry to hear what you are going through. Sending hugs x

It’s certainly not impossible. I am pregnant at the moment and we bad fertility treatment and became friendly with another couple of a forum and the wife had a chemical pregnancy for 4 or 5 months in a row. The clinic discovered she was lacking in something vitamin wise and her treatment was successful first time too. It can also mean the lining of your womb is too thin and therefore the embryo is failing to implant.
Wow really? I accepted the first to be a chemical pregnancy but when I had multiple positive tests most months I assumed it had to be dodgy tests. Thank you for this, it’s very reassuring. I have my first apt with my dr on thursday to discuss fertility issues. Would you mind telling me what to expect from this apt as you have been through it before? It took a lot for me to make the appointment x

Hi all hope I can join. I'm 28 and ttc number 1 and I'm on cycle 12. I came off the pill after years on it but my periods have come back regular although light. I'm surrounded by pregnant friends and family or they have babies and there are constant scans on social media, the lockdown baby boom really happened!
I stopped doing opks as I found it so stressful and got obsessed, and it didn't work. It hasn't worked since though either 😂
Its so hard sometimes, I got my AF a couple of days ago, a day late and with it being Christmas it just shattered me. I'm trying to see 2021 as a whole new year of hope, but it's hard right now.
I know there are many of you that have been trying far longer, so I know I haven't had it tough but it is hard when hearing 'we only did it the once' 'it only took a couple of months' or that it was an accident when it's something you want so much x
Hi have you went and got your bloods, tubes checked ? I was in the same boat and went for a hsg and my left tube was blocked so some months could never happen just didn’t realise. All other test perfect. ivf soon as still hasn’t happened but best to go get all checked as there are no symptoms of blocked tubes preventing sperm and egg meeting

My natural cycles thermometer has arrived - so been tracking my temperature, today it has dropped to 35.5! Surely that is too low?! It’s only day 5 of me tracking, but the others were 35.8 & 35.9! That’s only 0.5 away from hypothermia!
I test in Fahrenheit for accuracy but mine are low too. 35.5 could be inaccurate though. It can be common enough to get one totally off I think. Make sure you’ve had 3 solid hours of sleep (at least) before you test and don’t move apart from reaching for the thermometer!

I’m going to order this now on your recommendation. I only get a period every 64 days, the dr has said I probably don’t ovulate and the period is just when the lining builds up so much it just sheds itself. I have PCOS, only recently diagnosed, but before I had my first I had regular 35 day cycles. I have just googled to see if anyone has conceived on long cycles and some people have said they conceived after ovulating on day 79 etc! Gives me a little hope, I have done some half hearted opks but always negative as I don’t know what days to test. I’m really hoping that since I get the period very regularly (as in always day 64) that means I might ovulate. Since I have the PCOS diagnosis they won’t do any other tests until they see me in fertility, I’m getting referred in April but I anticipate there will be delays due to covid. The dr seemed to think if I just have regular sex and lose some weight to address the pcos I would get pregnant but i really don’t have the time or inclination to have sex every two days for the whole cycle 😬😬😬
Yeah it’s definitely worth giving it a go! I wasn’t sure how they worked to start with but you quickly get the hang of it, the app is really useful and they have some videos/other content that explains what you have to do and what it all means.

Anything that gives you a better understanding is a good thing I think 😊

I gave in and tested early today as been feeling really off the last few days (12dpo, period 3 days away) and got this... honestly can’t believe it! ❤ Wishing everyone else luck and positive tests, this was our 3rd month of trying and although i know that’s not long to try I felt so disappointed the last 2 months!
Yay!! Congratulations 🎉 😍 x

Congratulations 😍😍🥰🥰🥰 hope the next 9 months go smoothly for you! xx

Yes me too! I’m sure it’s fine 😂 mine spiked to 36.5 after ovulation. This is my first month of temping so it’s all new to me. It dropped to under 36 today though 9dpo so not hopeful now this month 👎🏼 x
I always feel like my BBT is so high!!! It's always above 36! The day after ovulation it was 36.9. I'm starting to think my thermometer isn't accurate 😂

Hey ladies,

Looks like the OPKs were right. I now have 3 positive tests which is great. I also have covid so hoping it doesn't interfere with anything. I am already very nauseous, just like with my first. Wish me luck. Sending so much love and luck to you all. This was our fourth month trying, the things we did different was I used the ClearBlue digital ovulation sticks rather than the cheapos. I also didnt take the luisa coq10 tablets (I had for 3 mths), choosing to get the more expensive ovulation sticks instead. Obviously, might just be luck but I thought I'd let you know. Xxx
Congratulations! ❤
