I gave in and tested early today as been feeling really off the last few days (12dpo, period 3 days away) and got this... honestly can’t believe it! ❤ Wishing everyone else luck and positive tests, this was our 3rd month of trying and although i know that’s not long to try I felt so disappointed the last 2 months!
YAY! Congratulations! ❤❤❤

Potentially opening a can of worms here but what is everyone’s thoughts on the COVID vaccine whilst TTC? I know the advice is not to get it if you are already pregnant but wasn’t sure what it is if you’re trying.
It will probably be a while before I get mine but I will probably have it. My partner and I had covid in December and it wasn’t very a pleasant experience. So if getting the vaccine stops others from going through that then it’s the least I can do.

Hi all, period came last night, it was early so I am now over a year and I will call the doctors this week.
I've had no hint of a positive and never been pregnant and I'm 28.i can't help but be worried even if it is normal. Are there any of you on here that had a first child suddenly surprise you after a year, after no previous pregnancy scares or anything?
I've been very positive about it with it being a new year and a whole year of hope. But when it comes I am just so miserable. I know I'll be fine later or tommorow and back to feeling good about next month, but I just can't help but think is it ever going to happen? I actually can't imagine my period not coming or actually getting a positive test. All my family and most of my friends conceived quickly and I just feel crap.

I know this is the period blues😂 and I'll be fine. But I'd love some nice stories of those over a year that it happened for all of a sudden.

I also know this is no time at all compared to some of you, and I feel awful for complaining. Just in need of some positivity today.

OK I'm definitely out. A day early but at least I know. Most of me knew it wouldn't happen first cycle but a tiny part of me was convinced I could be pregnant until now. Ordered the easy@home ovulation tests.

I will get vaccine but just means we'll push back TTC. If they can get all adults on the first vaccine by end of July, that's okay for me as it'll be our first and gives us a bit of time to sort ourselves out a bit more. I can understand why some people may be more anxious about it though. I've been lurking here because I am nervous as hell about TTC and still feel too young - I am 28!
I still feel too young at almost 33 🤣

I literally could have written the first part of your post myself! It’s so hard at the moment with there being no distractions. I feel like I’m throwing my all in to trying for a baby so every month that it doesn’t happen is just such a let down. And yes, it is so isolating! One of my closest friends has just had a baby and I feel so torn because I want to be there for her and be excited and see all the photos ect but it’s also like a dagger in the heart 😂

Thank you for updating me about what the doctor said. It’s so frustrating that they take that stance! How long have you been trying if you don’t mind me asking? I’m coming up for 9 months now and early on I’d hoped my Luteal phase would maybe sort itself out after 10 years of birth control but it hasn’t got any better! I hope your experience going private is positive 🤞🏼 Keep me posted 😊
I am sorry you are going through this too, it is so tough isn't it - but at least we have this virtual community that can make us feel less alone <3 WE CAN DO THIS

Have been 'loosely' trying since when my periods restarted after coming off the period - I think that was around Dec 2019/Jan 2020. Didn't really take it too seriously though until May 2020 though. So I know compared to lots of other people it's not 'officially' that long but I guess with lockdown etc it feels like forever 😬 particularly as once I realised I was not ovulating properly I knew it was never going to happen until when I got the prescription etc.

Will certainly keep you posted about the specialist, fingers crossed.. if you have diagnosed PCOS it is still worth (if you haven't tried already) checking if your GP practice has a GP specialising in fertility and pushing for a progesterone blood test. If you have a short LP it may be due to 'weak ovulation' (which it what was happening with me) and drugs such as Clomid (which some GPs like mine can prescribe) can apparently fix that. It wasn't my case unfortunately as it looks like I may still need extra progesterone for the post ovulation period but from the evidence I have read it should often work!

we conceived with 1% morphology. 28% motility and 39 mil total count
Thanks for giving me hope! Ovulated today (most likely based on bbt, fertility monitor etc) cd 17 first cycle on clomid. It is still later than i thought but 2/3 days earlier than usual. Fingers crossed luteal phase will be decent rather than the usual 6-8 max days :( Went for an aggressive strategy with the hubby having sex every day for 5 days until today, he is rather exhausted haha. Have been obsessing a bit about the morphology thing but stories like yours keep me a bit more positive. How long did it take you to conceive your baby?

I also have PCOS and am taking Letrozole at the moment. I do recommend taking medication to ensure your cycles are regular. I started on Clomid (3 cycles), but we didn't find the right dosage (5*1pill was too much, 5*1/2 wasn't enough). With Letrozole (currently 2nd cycle) everything works better and dosage is fine. However, periods have become much more painful again... Ah well...

I feel you! I used to think I was blessed with perfect skin, turns out, that's was just the pill 😅 I look like a teenager during periods. Pimples have gone down now that I'm taking medication though.

On sex drive I can't help you unfortunately. I used to be a freaking bunny when my partner and I got together, but that kinda disappeared over time. I had high hopes when I stopped taking the pill, but it didn't come back at all 😩 It's not that I don't enjoy it anymore (I really do), it's just difficult to get in the mood...
That said, we had sex for about 10 days straight this month, because I'm so sick of not getting pregnant, didn't want to take risks 😅 (previous times we'd be active every other day)

Period is due around the 21st.
Really unsure. Had cramps and was nauseous the past two days (around 8 and 9 dpo). I'm also aware of my uterus, if that makes sense. Feeling better today. Hoping it was implantation. But my hair's getting greasier a bit faster, have a new, subtle pimple today. I honestly don't know.
Might do a test on Sunday. But I'm also scared to do so, because I've only had heartwrenching negatives 😩

Sorry for rambling, had to get it off my chest...

Good luck! I’ve heard good things about letrozole more so than clomid so fingers crossed for you this month!! I think knowing you want to conceive makes you so hyper aware of everything which doesn’t help - hence my giving up on the OPKs already ! Like in what other world are you ever “aware of your uterus” or examining every spot hoping and wondering... it’s awful it really is!
I get you on the sex drive.... I can’t work out how I can enjoy it so much but then not want it more. Wish i treated chocolate the same way! 😩
Good luck for whenever you test lovely ❤🤞🏼

So glad I’ve found this thread I’ve been feeling abit crap lately as everyone seems to be pregnant at the min! We aren’t ‘trying’ but have been hoping since I had my daughter 4 years ago (clomid baby) I think I dont want to admit to trying as I worry it will become all consuming so if people ask I say no (and boy do people ask!) sending everyone baby dust!

😱 I didn’t know this at all. Don’t know what to do then 😭
If you take your temperature before you get up, literally keep a thermometer by your bed and do it as soon as you open your eyes, if you track if you will know by your temp when/if you ovulate 😊

I’m sorry it’s devastating ❤ We are only asking for two lines. Treat yourself or pamper yourself. I pray it will happen for you soon. ❤
When I do a pregnancy test whilst I’m waiting I dream about all the ways I can surprise my husband and then only one line appears. I can’t use clear blue pregnancy tests as I can’t deal with it telling me not pregnant. Is anyone else the same ?
Thank you. I’m used to the disappointment but for some reason I had a feeling that this maybe could be “my month”. It’s weird I’ve had none of my usual PMS symptoms but soon as I took the test the AF cramps etc all started.

Yes the last time I did I digital I tried to pull it apart to check inside 😩.

Bit off topic but did any of you have to bring up to your partners that you wanted to start TTC or were you all on the same page as them? My fiancé and I talk about kids a lot but when it comes to actually having the discussion of when we'd actually want to start TTC, he either makes a joke or brushes over it and nothing comes of it which frustrates me (it's maybe just a man thing idk) 😄🤦🏼‍♀️ I don't want to seem pushy on the topic as I'm the one who has to keep raising the topic but I don't know how much longer I can keep holding off. Like most women we worry about how long it will take and having had issues with losing my period in the past due to illness it does concern me if there was any lasting effects because of that but you never know these things until you're TTC.

I think a lot of men think getting pregnant is as easy as they teach you at school, all you to do is have unprotected sex and you'll definitely get pregnant when it's not as simple and straightforward as that. So they don't see the need for forward planning with cycles, coming off BC, tracking ovulation etc.

I'm rambling but hoping someone gets me 🙈😂
It was my husband who actually suggested a baby to me😂. Although I don’t think he realised how hard it can be to conceive for some people. He conceived the first time with his ex!

flat out cook a nice dinner for you both, a nice bottle of wine and bring it up over dinner. Pluck up the confidence and say I think I’m ready to try for a baby with you, I want to come off contraception and I was wondering what page you’re on?

Hi all can I join this thread? I don’t track my ovulation and my cycles can be anthing from 28-42 days (usually) this month I’m on cCD 55 and still nothing! I’ve tested, got silly thin line on a clear blue, a faint line (I think) on a 45 second first response and a positive on a cheapy BUT not pregnant on a digital and negative on a few others I’ve taken. Pregnancy support think I’m testing too early and have told me to wait until Tuesday! Am worried about chemical and miscarrying :( any Advice? Will attach the pics xx
Hello! Sorry I can’t offer any advice as never had anything similar. But maybe keep testing every day to see if lines get darker? Keeping everything crossed for you! ❤

@Bobbleowl90 which ones are you using? I got mine off Amazon, they’re called Premom and come with an app. So you take a photo of the little strip and upload it to the app and it records your fertility levels/when your peak time to try will be. I use Ovia too but I think this one might be a bit more accurate, it’s put my ovulation date a few days before the Premom one has (which is the one I’m logging my tests on)

So tempted to get mine to do one now too 😂
I swear by premom!

I'm having a very light period, 4 weeks after having a miscarriage at 12 weeks. I'm going to start tracking again although god knows if this is my actual period or what. Think I'm going to just chill over Christmas and then start tracking ovulation in the new year. How is everyone doing?
So sorry to hear that x

Chilling over Christmas sounds like a good idea. It’s always such a busy time anyway so it’s good to take some time out for yourself too

I bought some tests when I was shopping this morning, but I’m scared to do them and be disappointed! Think I’m going to wait and see if AF comes rather than testing early. Really don’t think it will happen this month though so not getting my hopes up!

Great idea about doing a pamper too @Missdissapointed. Sending you all hugs xx

Everything crossed for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Another OPK question... are your LH levels supposed to increase as you get towards ovulation? Mine increased but seem to have dropped again. According to the chart, today is “high chance” to try, peak days are 11th and 12th and I’ll be ovulating on the 13th.
My levels fluctuate before CD19 when I had high levels all day (I test around 12pm and 4pm), but they were consistently low. On CD20 I had my peak at 12pm and it dropped to high at 4pm. But yeah, it was up and down in the low range before I reached my fertile window. Until you see the high and peak you are definitely wondering if something is wrong with you, but I've learnt that it's completely normal for it so fluctuate slightly before seeing that spike.

I started tracking right after AF which was extremely frustrating to see 13 days of low levels thinking something was wrong with me, but I had a feeling during my last cycle that I wasn't ovulating during the "textbook" CD14 (this is my first cycle using OPKs), but more like a week later or so. It was nice to see the data supporting it so far. At least I now have a nice baseline lol but yeah, I am trying not to be too optimistic that this is "the month" but seeing that peak got me so excited ughhhh. I felt some ovulation pain the day after my peak, I don't temp because I know it would be too much for me right now. Trying to enjoy the sex and the general excitement but now I am in 4 DPO and I know it will be hard to resist the test on 8 DPO onwards!!

Anyways I digress 😅

Edited because I suck at maths
