New around here 😁 got a six year old daughter, had one miscarriage before her and have hideous anxiety around that and in general so I'm very private/cautious about this stuff in real life, but saw this thread existed and who the hell wants to go through the two week wait alone. Anyway, first cycle ttc number 2! It's happened quickly in the past but I'm getting older now so we'll see 🤭
We're all in this together ❤

7DPO here & ive honestly got the worst stomach pains. Don’t know if they’re cramps or pain. I’m so gassy, my poor partner is sick of me passing wind😖 Really hoping it’s not AF preparing to show early. I honestly can’t remember if this is how I felt with my first pregnancy as he was a happy accident nearly 8 years ago

Thanks for giving me hope! Ovulated today (most likely based on bbt, fertility monitor etc) cd 17 first cycle on clomid. It is still later than i thought but 2/3 days earlier than usual. Fingers crossed luteal phase will be decent rather than the usual 6-8 max days :( Went for an aggressive strategy with the hubby having sex every day for 5 days until today, he is rather exhausted haha. Have been obsessing a bit about the morphology thing but stories like yours keep me a bit more positive. How long did it take you to conceive your baby?
we conceived in 12 cycles. We were doing similar to sperm meets egg. I ovulated a few days different every cycle. But we would do every other day from cd 12. Then when I got a peak opk we would do that day and 2 days after. The month we conceived we did that peak day and 3 days after.
I was using ovusense, and looking at my temp rises... I think after I got a peak opk I didn’t actually ovulate to 48 hours after. So I think that extra day helped out!
we were told to go straight to ivf with icsi because of husbands numbers... but I found a few women who managed to conceive on similar numbers so we wanted to give ourself some time to try naturally. We lost the baby at 16 weeks. So I’m waiting to start cycles again... but we Will again try naturally.

God the tww is awful isn't it! I only have 1 week to go now, bought some cheap hpt to save some money as even tho I tell myself I'm going to wait for AF I never do 😬
9DPO today and it feels like forever. I have to wait until at least Sunday or Monday to test 🙃

Period ended 2 days ago and I feel very optimistic for the new year! The tww in Dec I felt very intense and kind of in a daze, I think there's a lot of pressure hoping for that Xmas bfp! But I'm feeling a lot calmer (for now).

How is everyone else feeling?
I’m feeling the same as you! In December I put a lot of pressure on us, I was ill with tonsillitis while I was ovulating but we carried on trying anyway (at my insistence). So feeling rough and then heaping so much pressure on myself wasn’t fun or a good decision in hindsight. I was also really hoping to fall before Christmas and was so disappointed when I didn’t.

I’m now taking the supplements I mentioned in another post, starting dry January today and also getting back on track with eating healthier now Christmas is over. Feeling positive for now 🤞🏼

So, we don’t have children and I miscarried our baby on Valentines Day 2019. It was all very traumatic for me physically more than mentally I think. This year we want to try again (preferably in the summer once we’ve cleared a couple of debts, I know there’s never an ideal time but I’d rather know we are giving ourselves the best chance financially so I can have mat leave longer than three months etc) only thing is I am PETRIFIED to put myself in that vulnerable position again - what if it happens again, mentally I’m not sure I’d cope. I’m also annoyed we missed out on so many holidays etc in 2020 and the odds of us getting them now before we try for a baby are slim. So I’m angry at the world for that because it’s time we can never get back. Aware I’m sounding very selfish and I know people have it far worse but please don’t judge, it’s the way I’m feeling
So sorry to hear that. That’s such a hard thing to go through, I feel like it doesn’t get spoken about or acknowledged enough either. Like you said the after effects can be so traumatic. Have you spoken to anyone about how you’re feeling?

Congratulations!

I am on my first cycle of Clomid this month for weak ovulation/short luteal phase (6 days usually 😬). In the end it was my GP who prescribed although I also see an endocrinologist for other issues and he approved.

I want to be positive it will work but now the other issue we have is that my husband has apparently low morphology 😭(1.5%). He was due to repeat the test but they are no longer taking appts because of covid.

Has anyone had any luck with low morphology? The evidence I could find online is very controversial. A few places say we would need to go straight to ICSI 😳 the joys of dr google sometimes!

Hope we all get our bfp in the end, who would have ever imagined it would be so tough (well certainly not me!)
we conceived with 1% morphology. 28% motility and 39 mil total count

I’m out this month, my temps dropped and I’ve got cramps! Af predicted Sunday so right on time 👎🏼 Boo!

Has anyone used one step ovulation tests from Amazon (£4.99 ones)?. I switched to them this month as I was using the clearbblue digital and it was getting too expensive.
I’m in the expected fertile window but have had a negative test everyday. I expected to see a faint line but there’s nothing? I’m testing twice a day. Normally I would have a smiley face on the clear blue now. I get ovulation pain in my side which I’m experiencing today so I know I am about to hit peak ovulation.
Im guessing the cheaper ones aren’t as sensitive?
I’ve used one step but from eBay. I had 1 dark line and then they went back to faint but it correlated with my temps too.

According to my app, I’ve had my peak and should have ovulated yesterday. My levels are back down now, so now it’s just a waiting game to see if this month is the one... a long two weeks to go! 😬
I’m exactly same had peak on Monday! I feel like these next 2 weeks are going to feel like 10 because of lockdown! Good luck 🤞🏻❤

Oh nice and insensitive!

This is the worst time of year for trying to lose weight anyway. Once January hits you might feel a bit more motivated... not sure if this is a helpful suggestion but I got a Fitbit during the first lockdown to encourage me to be a bit more active. It really did work, I was going on walks and making sure I hit my 10,000 steps a day and then started to use it for logging other work outs too. Along with cutting down on snacking/eating a bit healthier, I did notice a difference and it didn’t feel like I was doing anything too radical (I hate diets and exercise normally 😂)

Aside from that, don’t feel like you’re being doom and gloom - it’s definitely a relief to say how you really feel on this thread!
yes this time of year is not the best to start a diet! That’s a great idea about the Fitbit. I’ve also thought about starting the Couch 2 5k app which I’ve heard good things about!

Thank you everyone for the kind messages. Some days I just feel so rubbish about it all, but tomorrow is a new day!

I’m really struggling at the moment. I know I’ve got to lose weight to help with the PCOS symptoms but that mindset sets off my binge eating which I got from years of yo-yo dieting! It’s a vicious circle and just makes me feel so low. Sorry to be doom and gloom, I know there’s people a lot worse off than me! It’s just nice to have somewhere to write down my feelings! Also didn’t help that my mum made the comment “this should be motivation for you. You’ll be letting *partners name* down too if you don’t lose weight this time”. Ouch 🙄

This is the best place to vent!

When you say panics and can’t have sex, do you mean because he’s panicking about the future/having a baby, or more literally like the pressure gets to him in the moment?
It’s like the pressure in the moment, this might be tmi but he says he worries that he won’t stay hard and then doesn’t 🤦🏼‍♀️
I made a joke that I’ll have to stop wearing nice underwear and just wear granny knickers instead cause if I don’t joke I’ll cry

I love your positivity.
I’m really gutted I was on the pill for so long because I don’t know what’s going on with my cycles. I thought I was coming on AF but I’ve just had three days of extremely light on and off spotting when I wipe only. I found a really good doctor on YouTube who said about doing a synthetic hormone detox so I’m going to try and do that and get my hormones back to normal. Once that’s more back to normal I’m sure it’ll support being able to conceive.
Good luck with your detox! Hope it works well, knowing where you are even roughly with cycles will definitely help

I'm so sorry you went through that. Noone knows if a pregnancy will end in a healthy baby unfortunately, I guess we just weigh up if the chance of having a child outweighs the fear of another loss.
For me, the fact I might have another baby is enough to try again, if it ends in another loss then I would reconsider but it's something only you can decide.
I would also definitely look into talking to someone about your trauma and worries tho ❤

I always think I’d love to spin around and appear in maternity wear which happened when I use to play the sims and the sim was pregnant. So much easier than the ttw.
Yeah, or that you'd hear happy music after sex to let you know if it worked 😆

Hey ladies, new to TTC. Have been using Ovia and fitbit app to track cycle for a few months. Had no idea about how crucial timing can be. AF was due on Tuesday. I have had cramps most days this week, constipation and some trapped wind. Might just be me being optimistic, but without my period happening, ive taken these to be possible symptoms. Have been googling 1-4 week pregnancy symotoms hehe. Testing this weekend 🤞🤞 so excited but also trying not to get my hopes up.
Good luck!!

I think I’m out this month already guys 🥺. I’ve had really really sore boobs for the last week which is very unusual for me so I was convinced I must be pregnant. Period is due tomorrow. My boobs stopped hurting yesterday and I feel so down and gutted about it..
You're down but you're not out....i never had sore boobs till i was pregnant!

I’m with you. I had so many signs this months but AF started on Sunday. Stay positive, we can do this.
its so disheartening isn’t it. I was comparing symptoms to last month and I was just so sure. Shows how every cycle can be different. Thank you, we can. Sending you lots of luck! Let’s hope this month is the month x x
