Thank you!
Its so frustrating isn’t it, I can’t believe how small our fertile window is! When teenagers in my school were getting pregnant at a drop of a hat I honestly thought we were fertile for 3 out of 4 weeks it seemed that easy.
Sending you love and prayers for your next cycle.
I know I feel quite naive that I had no idea the fertile window was so short! I thought I would conceive as soon as I stopped taking the pill! 😅

BFN on 23rd and AF arrived on Xmas eve, followed by a day of pregnancy and engagement announcements all over Facebook, great 👍🏻
So hard isn’t it. 😔

I don’t want to get jealous but I’ve had a few girls who have already got children announce they’re pregnant again yesterday and I’m like “but I just want one 😩”. Then I tell myself to snap out of it and be happy for them, every child is a blessing no matter what number child it is. But still just praying for my one 🤞

hope you’re ok x x

I’m awaiting my period. I have an irregular period but it’s 5 days late. Last month during fertile window I was slightly unwell. So only had sex twice during that window.
I have no symptoms this time for period or even pregnancy. I have lost the plot and done 4 pregnancy tests. I can’t help it I get the urge almost like an addict. I even drive to the shops when my husband is at work.
If there was no lockdown I would not be so obsessed.
I doubt I’m pregnant but I just want AF to appear so I can try again.
From 12th April I’ve decided I’m going to delete the apps and not use the ovulation sticks and when it happens it happens. I can’t continue like this it’s not healthy. The first week after ovulation I am strong. It’s the end of the second week I obsess with pregnancy tests. As much as I am desperate to conceive I do laugh at myself. I have lost the plot haha.
As someone mentioned earlier some women are so lucky they conceive early and they don’t realise how lucky they are. But I guess we are blessed in all sorts of ways.
Good luck ladies :))

This is exactly what I did. I’d become obsessed with my cycle and it was having a real impact on my relationship. Also got sick of wasting loads of money of ovulation and pregnancy tests.

We had tried for 2 years using all manner of apps, tests etc. I finally got pregnant 3 months after stopping using the extra stuff x

My partner and I started trying to conceive in February and I became utterly obsessed. It can take over your life if you aren’t careful. All I could think of was OPK testing, the couple of days around ovulation and then the TWW. Every month I was on pins looking for the signs that this month had worked. Examining my underwear for signs of an implantation bleed, analysing every twinge and convincing myself that this was our month. I’m now 18 weeks pregnant and what I will say is on the month that I got pregnant I did nothing apart from have some lovely sex! I just thought do you know what if it’s meant to be then it will be. The day I did the test I did it because I simply knew I was pregnant! And I certainly was. I think most women just have that feeling. Symptom wise there was nothing. Certainly none of those things that I’d analysed over the 5/6 months prior to conceiving. I know my journey was short compared to how hard some women have it but it’s all relative and when you want to be pregnant that’s all you can think about. I hope all you ladies on here get your wish soon xx
Laying in bed this morning with pregnancy insomnia I remembered that the month I conceived I’d started taking a new supplement. I was already taking a prenatal, folic acid, 600mg of coq10 and DHA, I’d read the Luissa Zia’s man blog post maybe baby and she recommended the DHA and q10 because it improves egg quality (I’m older at 43 so was open to anything) anyhow the month I did finally conceive I also added in a supplement called calc flor which is said to aid implantation. You take it just in your TWW. Anyhow I just thought I’d mention it and good luck to everyone still on their journey xx

Still no signs of my period, but I do have some PMS symptoms. Ugh, waiting is the worst part, isn't it?
Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone 🤞❤

Oh I feel ya. I didn’t go on a trip for my friends birthday in October 2019 because I was due to be ovulating and I didn’t want to miss the chance - both of the friends I was due to go with have had babies since then, and one of them didn’t even know her boyfriend at the time of the trip! Plus my best friend has just come off the pill and I’m convinced she’s going to fall straight away.

I feel like an awful person for feeling so jealous.
Ugh, that f*cking sucks :(
Hang in there... ❤

You're not awful for feeling jealous at all.
It really is hard seeing how some people seem to conceive like it's no big deal.

I really hate the two week wait. I wish we could find out the day after ovulation or something 🤣
In other news though, I purchased 50 eBay cheapies so I think it’s safe to say I’ll be testing daily even though it’s far too early yet. It’s literally like a serious addiction for me, I just can’t help it 😭
I feel like this particular tww has been the longest everrrrrr! I brought 20 cheapies from Amazon 😂 I’m a wee on a stick addict too 🙋‍♀️

Yeah trying to, around midday! Will test twice tomorrow though like the app says. I’ve already told my partner this is “the” weekend 😂

Really hope you get that positive too! The wait is the longest part!
Some days I was testing 4 times a day just to get the highest 😂🙈. I didn't track in December told myself to just enjoy it and now I'm regretting it as if I knew my peek I'd have more of an insight!

Got my fingers crossed for you this weekend!! Hopefully you'll get your positive in a few weeks too!!

I don't believe in it, the stress thing, unless your periods stop you're not stressed enough to not get pregnant. Just a trope trotted out by people. You know you can get pregnant, so just keep at it, and it will surely happen again for you x
Thank i needed to hear that - it does sound a bit drastic that stress can prevent getting pregnant when its not enough to stop periods. Wallowing in self pitty and period hormones, so apologies! Thanku xx

Yes i agree.. all the times i thought i was pregnant with the most minor of a twinge or convincing myself i felt nauseous i wasn't.
The 2 weeks leading up to bfp i had no symptoms whatsoever and i sailed through my first trimester, no sickness no food aversions no cravings. Just very sore boobs a few wks after bfp. Overall the whole experience so far has been highly asymptomatic.
However someone else could get nausea even before the bfp. The best bit of advice ive been given is no 2 pregnancies are the same.
I was 2 days late and did a test and said i was 3+wks pregnant (clear blue) which by the way it should also be noted that was inaccurate!!!! It shouldve only said 2-3 wks pregnant. And 2 reasons they get it wrong is im either having twins or its ectopic (again) so imagine my panic and then my relief when it was neither!!!! Clear blue just got it wrong.

Yes! As I’mthankyou_ said, they are so useful! I use Flo and it has never got my ovulation date right. Sometimes I wish I’d never discovered them though as I’ve become a bit obsessed with tracking everything now and I’m so far down that hole I don’t think there’s a way back to the “just relax and see what happens” mindset. (Edited as I @ the wrong person 🤦🏼‍♀️)

Really annoyed this month. We only had sex twice around ovulation. On actual ovulation day we just didn’t feel well. I don’t want it to become a chore but it feels like a month wasted. Oh well, there’s always next month

If you feel comfortable enough would you mind sharing what symptoms you had?
Sure of course. Thursday I had a migraine and felt super nauseous all day. I thought that was just migraine and sickness which I get now and then but Friday no migraine but felt nauseous still. If I thought about food I just felt ill and that’s not like me, I can always eat. Got appetite back Sunday afternoon but felt sick again this morning. Haven’t actually been sick (yet) just queasy. Boobs started feeling a bit sore on Friday and have gradually got worse since. Very sore nipples as well. I do not usually get sore boobs before period, I should mention. Got a bit of pink blood this morning when I wiped and that’s it. Saturday I could feel twinges and like pulling in lower left abdomen all day. Very specific feelings in very specific area.

Unhelpful but I don’t know what day I ovulated exactly. I think 11th-ish so symptoms started about a week after.

Sorry for essay, hope this helps :)

Hi just to say I hear you and have been debating with exactly the same thoughts. I work on the frontline so have already been offered the vaccine but haven't had it yet as I can't make up my mind. I also have pcos and husband has infertility male factor too.
So hard, isn’t it. I’m a teacher so not exactly the frontline but still mixing with lots of children and adults so it worries me!

I think I will just wait and see like Makeupaddict said and fingers crossed I get pregnant before July (which is when they are saying every adult will be offered one) as I definitely won’t have it if I was pregnant but if I’m still trying...I don’t know.

Thanks for the TikTok video Marymoo. Very interesting and definitely something to think about.

Sorry for jumpin on here and please delete if not allowed. I'm on my last month of TTC baby number 5. Yes i hear you all saying "wow 5.... she's so lucky to have that many. Why be selfish etc" i say these things to myself. Thing is after 5 years IVF i conceived twin girls 7 years ago. Then when they were 2 I had my boy (natural conception) but he was stillborn (due to hospital neglegence) Desperate for a baby, I was blessed with another girl 18 months ago. Thing is I am desperate to get pregnant again. We said we'd give ourselves 7 months and now January is the last month. If nothing happens then thats it.
I don't know if this desperation is the want for a baby or the want for my son.
I'm posting here (as I couldn't see a thread on it) but how do people cope if thats it, thats the end of their pregnancy journey.
Again never intend to be insensitive or offensive so delete if not allowed.
Thanks so much and wishing all here baby dust.

You’re not selfish at all! If you want another baby you should try to do so, you’re not selfish one bit. Everyone’s TTC journey is different and has its own challenges. Sorry to read what you’ve been through. You’re in the right place if you want support x x

Long term lurker here joining just for this thread!

My first month of TTC, I came off Yasmin my contraceptive 5 weeks ago after being on it for almost 15 years. Isn't it mad how you spend so long trying not to get pregnant then all of a sudden you're desperate for it?

I'm freaked out about it all as I'm 30, so I've never really known what my natural cycle is as it's always been controlled by the pill. Been reading so many horror stories about how people's cycles don't go back to normal. I need to refrain from the internet!

My first period since my withdrawal bleed is due next week, if my cycle length is a typical 28-30 dayer.

Just brain dumping really! Good luck to everyone.

I really wish I came off the pill sooner. Each month my cycles have been different and each tww the symptoms have been different which is hard when symptom spotting 😂.

Hopefully it won’t be too much longer till your natural cycle comes back. Everyone is different and for some people it doesn’t take long at all x x

3 days late and still a negative test. Don't think I'll get that positive 😭 Think my bodies playing games with me

Is this ovulation test positive? I’ve never ever gotten a peak on one so I’m super excited and would just like confirmation please 🤗! What does a positive ovulation test indicate? When are the best times to have sex? We had sex this morning tmi sorry! XView attachment 380103
Certainly looks positive or nearing a positive. Best times are in the lead up to the positive as you have a short time once you hit your peak then ovulate. Fingers crossed for you x

I had covid (for Christmas) and it was grim. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone else, or to get it again so I’ll take the vaccine but it does worry me slightly that there are no studies available on how it may affect anyone TTC, especially as we haven’t got much going for us anyway 😬

So exactly 5 weeks after losing baby at 16 weeks... I had a ovulation confirmation on ovusense. So now just waiting for AF then we plan to try again. We have a app with fetal medicine next week as baby had high NT reading. Nervous to be starting again.
starting to panic as we have male factor and it was 2 years to conceive this baby.
So sorry for your loss. Wishing you lots of luck 💕

Aw thank you so much for replying. It means a lot and I am glad I have found this board where I can share at least some bits of my journey - I feel so isolated at the moment as I seem to be the only person I know going through this. My husband is really supportive and so is my Mum (who however lives abroad) but the limited stimulation/lack of distractions at the moment due to the covid19 make everything so much harder and I am finding I am spending so much time worrying and ruminating about all this :(

Quick update in case this could be helpful: I spoke with the Fertility GP - although they are nice and I am sure they mean well they were very dismissive. They said that even if I have a luteal phase defect there is 'no cure' and we cannot be sure about when I ovulated anyway (but I am!! I use multiple ways of predicting this and they all match, all the time). So after some consideration I have now booked a private consultation at the end of this week with a Fertility Consultant with great reviews. I have just finished putting all my paperwork together to bring to her ... will see what happens.. I am starting Clomid again today but I don't see the point of going through this with a luteal phase of 7 days..... will let you know what she says
So annoying when they are dismissive!!!! 😡

I know what you mean about being isolated! I’ve not told a single person about ttc, not even my mum asked she’s soooo desperate for a grandchild, I don’t want to get her hopes up when it doesn’t happen!

good luck with your private app! Let us know how you get on. xx
