Hi everyone, I hope I’m okay to post here. I am after some advice. I had a positive pregnancy test on Friday then I woke
Up at 4am Saturday with very heavy bleeding, tested again Saturday afternoon, still a positive and tested again today and a negative. I’m guessing it’s been a chemical pregnancy 😥. I have never experienced this before, if anyone has... how long did it take for your periods etc to come back? I’ve been off my pill for 8 weeks so I haven’t actually had a normal period yet. Any help or advice would be great appreciated! Thank you xxx

Today’s my predicted ovulation day & for the last two months every time it’s got to this time of the month it’s like my boyfriend panics & gets into his head and just can’t have sex.
I don’t blame him but I end up really getting into my head, I’m nearly 28 and I just feel like time is running out. I know it isn’t but I feel like if I don’t get pregnant soon I’ll be 29 etc when they’re born or I’ll have problems carrying to term or my eggs won’t be good and so much stupid stuff.
I’m really sorry I just really needed to vent and get it out of my head and I didn’t really have anywhere else to moan. It’s so hard when all you want is to be pregnant and have a baby & things work against you!

I am genuinely so happy for everyone whose had their positives recently though ❤

I’m the same!! I’ll be able to test the week before v day so I’ve been ahead of myself looking a valentines presents I could get to tell hubby I’m pregnant! 🙈 saw the cutest little heart sign, “roses are red, violets are blue inside me beats 2 hearts for you!” 😭
keeping everything crossed!!

apparently it’my ovulation day today with my first month of temping so hopefully it will rise as I’ve had my first ever positive LH test! 🤞🏼 And done the deed so much due to predictions changing (pcos) were fed up of each other 🤣
I’m so glad it’s not just me!! We were pregnant towards the end of last year and were meant to tell our families on Christmas Day with cute baby grows 🙈 this month I am going to try not to think about anything too much!! Famous last words 😂
I love the little heart sign you mentioned, keeping everything crossed for you!

Hi all! I'm sorry if this has already been covered. Are there any keyworkers in this thread who are continuing to TTC despite covid?

I'm a front line worker and was offered the Pfizer vaccine but declined for now as trying for my second baby. Have now found out I'm being redeployed from my normal area to another "cold" area (no covid patients but higher potential for exposure) and I'mdithering now.

Really not sure whether to defer trying and have the vaccine but they are now delaying the boosters for up to twelve weeks. This means even if I had it tomorrow I may have to wait up to 5 months before I could start trying.
So hard as once you have that desire to start trying I feel like I can't just switch it off.
ICU nurse here, I have been offered it & I have rejected it as advised by my manager who knows I'm TTC. Any woman trying for a baby has been told they don't have to have it.

I’m in my second month of trying. I already have a 6 year old :) but she was conceived when I was taking the mini pill so I’ve never TTC before!

I have been using Flo which I was already using to track periods but i can’t really tell when I’m ovulating 😂 it’s not something I’ve ever given much thought to before!

Thankyou. Id got over my period coming, felt positive, and then bam she made me feel awful. Talked to me like crap. Definately hope she isn't the one who tells people if there is something wrong! Dh said I should complain but I have to see her again in a couple of weeks but I'm prepared and ill tell her if she's rude again that there's no need for it! yes I'm feeling better thankyou

Thankyou and congratulations to you!
Can I ask how long you were trying?
Definately good to know that light periods aren't necessarily a bad thing.
We weren't trying for long as it happens. I had expected it to take a year etc. Im not a big drinker and had cut back on caffeine for a little while. (i cant think of anything else we did in the run up to trying). I think we 100% got lucky. Im 7 weeks currently and feeling good (which makes me worry at times). I still check for blood when i go to the toilet.

I really hope it happens for you soon xxx

I’m feeling really positive right now, I have had my first drs appt via phone, she really listened to me and validated all of my feelings. She is sending me for bloods when I come on my next period, sending me for a vaginal scan to check my uterus and sending my husband for a sperm count. Then she’s going to refer us to the fertility clinic. Feeling more hopeful after this appt 🖤

So I was in pregnancy thread but sadly back in TTC now! Been 4 and a half years trying so really keeping everything crossed this year I get a BFP and then a healthy baby!
Silly question - how are you feeling? Big hugs xxx

Hey guys, I’ve posted here before but stepped back for a while.
Bit of background - both myself and my partner are 29, I’ve been off the pill since October 2018 and started tracking ovulation etc in April 2019. Never had a positive test. Had tests done at the doctors, out of the three times they tested for ovulation, it was confirmed twice and not the other time. My periods are fairly regular (always 27-31 days, usually 28/29) and I don’t get super heavy or painful periods. I’m a healthy weight and live a fairly healthy lifestyle - I don’t smoke or drink, but do like a takeaway, though I try to balance this with plenty of fruit and veg and regular exercise.

I started using OvuSense in October and they confirmed ovulation on CD16, then CD14 in November, no ovulation confirmation in December. Ovulated CD12 in January. Currently CD13 and got a flashing smiley on a ClearBlue this morning, but the cheap OPKs are still showing very negative so I’m not feeling positive for ovulation.

I just feel so disheartened!

I’ve been using pregnicare conception for the past few months. After giving it a go deciding to come off it and just use folic acid.
Reasons (and I can’t say this is definitely the pregnicare pills however all symptoms have started. Recent cycles after taking it)-
lower EWCM during O
Cystic acne on chin leading up to O
Spotting by before period (never had that before, thought it was implantation bleeding)
Mood swings
Extra tired and grouchy

might not be all linked to the tablets but just going to try folic acid for a few months and see if I notice a change.

anyone else have positive or negative experiences when taking pregnicare conception tablets?

or any other top tips of supplements for supporting conception that you’ve experienced?
I’m currently taking conceive plus and so is my partner. I’ve not really noticed any changes other than a higher sex drive and forgive me for this word I have been moister (god I shudder just saying it) than usual. My partner has also noticed a change in his sperm consistency.

Am glad to have found this thread. I looked on Mumsnet once and quite frankly it was shit 😂
Been TTC for about 9 months now....not long but I am 42 so feel time is really against me. Waiting for a referral to the fertility clinic but covid has shown everything down so considering paying privately
Have had tests with GP which has shown no concern for me, my partner has low sperm motility though, which is ironic as he already has two kids and both were conceived on the first try...so came as a bit of a shock to both of us
We’re not going to have fertility treatment, not really an option for us financially, so we’re going to try for a few more months and if it doesn’t happen then it’s not meant to be
Just wanted to say hi before I catch up with the thread...
Hi! Sending you baby dust!

I won’t be having any vaccine while ttc or pregnant! Especially not after the thalidomide disaster. I’m not an anti vaxxer at all but I don’t think it’s necessary for me.

Omg I’m doing the same thing 😂. But because I’m a teacher I really wanted to get pregnant last month or the month before because it would have fallen in the summer holidays. 🙄. But how I’m thinking ooo they will be one of the oldest in their year now. Just keeps adding more desperation into me wanting to be pregnant tbh
Someone on another forum also pointed out that summer babies will require less paid childcare 😅 I’d never even thought of that!

Bit off topic but did any of you have to bring up to your partners that you wanted to start TTC or were you all on the same page as them? My fiancé and I talk about kids a lot but when it comes to actually having the discussion of when we'd actually want to start TTC, he either makes a joke or brushes over it and nothing comes of it which frustrates me (it's maybe just a man thing idk) 😄🤦🏼‍♀️ I don't want to seem pushy on the topic as I'm the one who has to keep raising the topic but I don't know how much longer I can keep holding off. Like most women we worry about how long it will take and having had issues with losing my period in the past due to illness it does concern me if there was any lasting effects because of that but you never know these things until you're TTC.

I think a lot of men think getting pregnant is as easy as they teach you at school, all you to do is have unprotected sex and you'll definitely get pregnant when it's not as simple and straightforward as that. So they don't see the need for forward planning with cycles, coming off BC, tracking ovulation etc.

I'm rambling but hoping someone gets me 🙈😂
I’d been mentioning kids for the last year (2019), but to be honest I wasn’t 100% certain back then either. We were hoping to move house and he wanted to get a new job before we started trying.

Last year in May we bought our new house and I floated the idea of coming off the pill. He was still a bit unsure and I had to explain to him that it can take time to get back to normal etc. Because of some of my own plans (weekends away, not wanting to be on my period for birthdays etc), I decided myself that I would take it up until September and he was happy with that. We actually ended up getting engaged in September too (which I now realise he’d been planning the whole time) and we spoke about it much more seriously and from then he’s been as keen as I am! We talk about it all the time and he even asks when I’m ovulating and takes the supplements I bought him 😂

I get what you mean about finding it frustrating when they’re unsure though. I was like that for a while, I’d talk about babies and feel so broody and he’d just be like “yeah wait for us to be ready and then we can try”. I felt ready back then and used to get upset because I didn’t feel like he was taking it seriously. Now I realise he really did just feel like he needed a bit more time, which I suppose is fair because it’s a massive life change and a big decision to make.

I caved and done a cheapie... and got a positive 😭

We’re completely in shock, I really wasn’t expecting it! Still going to keep testing tomorrow and Tuesday to make sure but as long as AF doesn’t come on Tuesday I think that’s it!
Ahhhhh congratulations ❤

I agree it’s an obsession as there’s nothing else going on.
Makes you stir crazy always waiting for period, fertility windows, TWW. Also I don’t know about anyone else but for me during lockdown was the perfect time to get a baby as my life has slowed down immensely.
I find TWW the hardest as any sign my body gives I record as pregnancy. I’ve now decided for myself this month that no sign is a sign. As my first pregnancy my symptoms showed at 6 weeks. I didn’t realise I was pregnant and when I done one pregnancy test at around 4 weeks it was negative.
It’s lovely there’s a lot of ladies who understand and when someone announced their pregnancy I’m so happy as I feel there’s hope. Just May take longer then anticipated .
Wishing you luck your baby is coming soon.
Play meditation music I’m going to try this month🙊🙊
❤☺

Yea it wasn’t the most tactful thing she’s ever said! That’s a good shout about finding an exercise routine. I tend to focus so much on the food aspect of it and neglect the exercise side. Maybe I’ll give the Charlotte Crosby DVD a go as I definitely have that collected dust on one of my shelves! Thank you 😘
That's a bit harsh of her 😭 Losing weight is so hard, especially at the moment. Good luck xx
