Does anyone else see people who are suddenly not there anymore?
I can remember walking my dogs on a path through the middle of a paddock and there was a man in his fifties walking in front of me (probably about 10m away). I glanced down at the dogs and looked back up and he was gone! There was nowhere for him to go! He was in the middle of an open field!
Another time I was walking past a school field with high corrugated iron fencing and saw a man dressed very 70s go through the open gate. He looked really out of place so I looked in when I went past and the field was empty. Nowhere for him to hide and no other exits
YES! This reminds me of one of the few times I am sure I saw a ghost of some description.
It happened about six or seven years ago, when I was working in Warwick. It was a Friday morning, about 08:30, and I was walking up the fairly steep hill from where I parked to my office. I did this walk every day so was pretty au fait with how quiet the street was at that time of a morning (although the shops - a hardware store and off licence - that lined the route were open).
Ahead of me I saw two little old ladies walking very slowly up the hill. Both were short and wearing grey macs, and one of them was so stooped she looked headless from afar. I quickly walked round them and noticed one of them was wearing a plastic headscarf (this struck me as odd as it seemed old fashioned and very uncommon for a pensioner in Warwickshire).
After passing them and walking on for about five seconds,
something made me look back and they were completely gone. Thin air.
At the point I passed them, the shop to our left was a chip shop, which didn't open until the afternoon. I looked to the other side of the road and they hadn't somehow managed to sprint across. They'd just vanished.
Really odd, although the weirdness of what I'd (not) seen didn't strike me until I got home that night. To this day I am sure I saw something
off.
