I was tidying after Christmas and took an arm full of things upstairs to restore to their rightful place, one being a can of hairspray. I just sort of left them piled at the top of the stairs and busied myself in another room. A few minutes later I heard the hairspray fall, I heard the metallic dink as it hit every step and heard it clatter on the laminate in the hall but when I came out of the bedroom the can was just stood in the middle of the top step 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Fully respect my tidying entity and wish they'd do more.

Every home should have one.

Has anyone been reading about The Curse of Pompeii? There's been a couple of articles in the Daily Mail the last couple of days of people returning stolen artefacts from the site after bad luck has befallen them after their visit. Apparently they have a section of returned artefacts and letters at the site. It's a good way to stop people stealing bits.

That reminds me of something that happened to my in laws after My FIL was given a supposed Etruscean pot that a relative had sourced in Italy. We was out there with them and he asked if we'd bring it back in our luggage. i point blank refused joking its probably cursed cos its been robbed from someones grave or something.
We went to pick them up about week later and their flight was delayed for about 8 hours..just as their plane was taxing a huge hole appeared in the runway and all flights were held until it was repaired!
whem they arrived i said to him it's that bloody pot thats done this its definitely cursed!..it caused that hole as it didn't want to be taken out the country.

Ghost manor here.. back with an update. My mum was here the other week she saw a woman stood at my back door it scared the life out of her. She said she was just stood not moving or anything.

This week I was asleep and I was rudely awoken by a smack to the side of my head! No partner in my bed and definitely wasn’t the dog!

I have no idea where I heard this or who from, but someone once told me that some people who lived near an old WW2 airbase would often hear the planes flying in and out of the base, years later. Like actually hearing the sounds and feeling the vibrations. I'll have to see of i can find anything online. Fascinating stuff.
My local army barracks isn’t far from me, short walk anyway people have said during the stormy weather they’ve seen Roman soldiers marching, sometimes it’s just the waist up. I’ll pop the link below..

That is creepy! Is it an old house? 😨

It was built in the 1950s so when you think yeah it’s pretty old. I know the bloke who had it before was a policeman who had a little dog.
I think we’ve said it before on this thread but I often wonder if it’s the land the house is built on rather than the house itself sometimes.

I’m going to find it now! I used to live in quarters when my husband was in the RAF. Didn’t experience anything, but I never, ever was happy there or felt relaxed/happy. Also, the coldest house I’ve ever been in.

What kind of stories?? I'm not on Facebook but lived in married quarters my whole life up until three years ago - I've heard of plenty, especcially when I lived in Germany.

People talking about their experiences with ghosts, and asking if other people that have been posted to the same road in the past have had any weird experiences. Lots of recommendations to get the padre in to bless the house/apartment.

We had a 2 year posting to Ralston, Canada and a lot of people there had strange goings on in their houses; the basement in the school was meant to be haunted too. Our house there was ok, just used to get the smell of someone smoking cigarettes in the lounge.

I have been getting jabbed in the face (quite hard with what feels like a finger) usually between 3-4am. I know it's not hubby, as we sleep back to back (always have) and I'd feel the covers and mattress move. Also the dog - who loves to snuggle under our covers, is never in the room when this happens.
We've been in our house 4 months, the previous owners had the house built, both still alive and it was fields before that.
I'm at a loss but it feels that someone wants my attention.
I'm not particularly religious but have pinned a couple of cross pendants to my fabric headboard and it seems to have stopped it (famous last words lol)

that’s so creepy, and in the face too!

After my mum died I woke up once in the night because I felt someone or something slap my leg. It could have been me holding my arm up in my sleep but I’m not sure. However my dad has lived in the house years and years, and when he was younger as well. He told me once his brother kept seeing a little girl sat at the end of his bed in the middle of the night!

A fair few creepy things have happened there - I was downstairs watching tv once and was convinced I was being watched! I used to feel like that a lot there. Anyone else had this?

We lived in a house for several months last year, and it's only since we moved out and realised there was a really bad atmosphere in that house. It was unpleasant and can't put my finger on what exactly it was. I'd say it had an evil presence, nothing bad ever happened that we witnessed but I never felt safe or comfortable there at all. It was a beautiful house with lovely views, overlooking national trust land and I don't miss it at all🤔

I've seen that one; definitely rang a few bells with one of the places I lived in Germany, there was definitely a lot of activity there but due to the history of the area, I didnt want to look further into it as it was just so desperately sad.

My husband is stationed in Hamworthy, I've refused married quarters so far, some of his colleagues ( big burly men) are terrified of areas on camp!
