People who go on city breaks to places full of culture and history and end up uploading endless arty pictures of… their cups of coffee

‘It’s officially love season, show us your love!’

those silly tag things on Instagram. The first one was ‘for every pet pic we’ll plant a tree’ where exactly are these trees??

When people post this shit and you know it’s all bollocks.

For Valentines I haven’t done a dedication to my partner or our baby in a valentines baby grow and made her heart shaped toast this morning

bad mum/girlfriend

As usual I laugh at the dedications to partners who don’t even have Instagram/Facebook

The amount of posts I’ve seen today saying ‘we fight all the time but I still love you’… I might post some things about my partner on here, granted, but it’s anonymous. Imagine telling all your friends, family, and the whole world that you’re at each other’s throats all the time. Grim.

Yes I've seen valentines cards saying this even. Its like buying a card that says remember that time you were really sh*t

Also why should we only acknowledge our partners on Valentines day, if the relationships are good, then surely you'd acknowledge them at any time. I also love it when people think flashy or expensive gifts mean a loving relationship. To me a loving relationship is more about the way he treats me and respects me every day

I thought Valentines day was meant to be for singles. Not for cutesy couples to post crap collages on fb and insta.

That emotionally unstable woman EVERYONE has as a Facebook friend, who posts quotes about how nobody deserves her/you can only trust yourself in this life/the world is full of snakes. She has a child but is forever chasing the D of some sad lad, and complaining via the medium of vague-booking when he fails to live up to her expectations. She's always "being used" by her "so-called friends" who she would "do anythin for".

Hahaha this is so true , I have someone on mine who fits this exact description she was a bit of a bully to me in school sometimes too , so I always think it's karma

I unfollowed mine on Instagram recently when she posted a picture of her holding her dead grandmother’s hand.

It was the seventh or eighth post in the 24 hours since granny had popped her clogs but seeing a corpse hand on my feed was enough.

You know sometimes I wonder ,what are we even doing posting stuff on SM.I’m not talking about the things mentioned in this thread but rather anything at all .Is the whole thing not just cringeworthy and weird ? Should we go back to a time before SM ? Lately I can’t decide but I’m posting less and less these days

Yeah I know what you mean and I'm the same , rarely post now. Got to admit I've been guilty of stuff on this thread in the past I'll still take photos on days out etc but then don't even think I'll put them on social media

I’m considering not posting my children any longer ,especially my eldest ,my 7 year old.I have private profiles ,only a few k followers and would never post anything like photos of them in the bath or ill etc but even so ,I just don’t know if it sits right with me anymore .Does everyone have the right or need to see my little one playing in the same park as always and I’ve not posted a selfie in about a year but really what’s the point ? Isn’t it just a massive waste of time and effort I am clearly getting old and knackered

Same. I have a Facebook account but very rarely post on there. I keep it because I find the groups really useful, especially for local information. I have instagram which I post more on, but even that is locked down and private and I only have approx 40 followers, all people I know in real life.

What’s with that Whispering Angel wine thing? I see it everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE! All the influencers and wannabe celebs are obsessed with it “OMG I love it so much!” Specially after the VDay all I see are bottles of that thing.
Is Whispering Angel the new Moët? What’s so special about it? Seems like everyone is just jumping on that bandwagon.

I don't have a problem with seeing posts of my friends children. But must I see photos of them doing everything?
