I don't like seeing "Health at Every Size" stuff that makes the argument that there is no such thing as a healthy body weight, the BMI is "racist" etc. But especially annoyed today with someone posting that she had lost a lot of weight while told to follow a diet for pregnancy-related diabetes, but "I won't keep this thinner body, it's just not my set point." If you put on a lot of weight after your pregnancy it will be because YOU went back to bad eating habits
The “set point” thing is a load of bullshit. For the most part, your “normal” body weight set point is just a reflection of your average calorie consumption

I don't agree the mum tum is an excuse. I got mine from the scar tissue after an ectopic pregnancy. The scar tissue gets really hard and the stomach is kind of divided. My opinion though.
I had late term pregnancies close together along with c sections and an ectopic (god knows how my body coped) and I agree - even when I’ve been super fit, my tummy at the start and end of the day looks so different, it’s like it got used to expanding and thinks ‘duck it’ as soon as I have fizzy drinks or anything that could even slightly cause bloating. Wonderful 😬

I think set point is real, there's a weight that your body likes to be at but there's so much palatable food around that people lose hunger and satiety signals and get fat.

There’s not any scientific basis to it really, and is only ever mentioned when people are trying to explain why they’re overweight. Your “set point” is really just a reflection of your food intake on an average day mostly

Yeah but I mean there's a difference between mum Tum and just putting on weight due to bad diet

Someone I know posts this on her story every night but according to stories during the day she's drinking coffee constantly 🤦‍♀️
I keep telling people to switch to decaf coffee. They whinge and say it doesn’t taste the same, yet they’ve never tried it… or I give it to them when they come to my house and they never notice the difference.

Or they are being polite? I've tried loads of decaffs and they do taste different. I wouldn't comment on it at someone else's house. I'd just think they had bad coffee and I'd pick tea next time. 😂

Exactly, they may actually be able to tell the difference. Same as diet coke etc , I personally can't tell the difference but doesn't necessarily mean that people who can are lieing

People telling me/sharing which items of red tat they've bought their kid for Valentines Day. Isn't it about romantic relationships?

White people who use dark-skinned emojis to represent themselves in their Instagram captions.

Who do they think they are kidding?

Nah, my family are coffee snobs - they can taste the difference in each brand 🙈 I told them they were drinking decaf once and my Granddad was shocked, couldn’t taste the difference at all.

Plus my family are rude and tell it how it is 🤣 they definitely wouldn’t have an issue saying if they didn’t like it haha

What brand is it please? I have tried loads and not liked any yet but I live in hope!

The term 'yassificaition' - what the hell does it mean?

People ending a sentence with a hyphen instead of a full stop like 'omg your dog is so cute-'. I see it all the time on YouTube and Pinterest and it baffles me. I'm only 24 and I'm past this tit 😂

Galentines day is a cringe fest. When I was single it was a bottle of red wine with a steak and a movie.

People that post in local town groups “if the man in the blue hoody driving the Range Rover who just dangerously overtook me is reading this!! Blah blah blah”
I’ve got some news for you… he’s definitely not reading this

Prepare yourselves for the onslaught of insipid #happyvalentines #happygalentines #myworld #blessed #grateful

🤮🤮

I don't mind an appreciation anniversary or even birthday post, but doing one on the most commercialised day of the year just because everyone else is and you don't want to appear unhappy is the epitome of pathetic 🙄
