I’ve got a beautiful lilac tree in my garden which my dear late Mom and Dad gave me. I love it when it flowers every spring and it’s smells gorgeous . I always cut some and display it in my Mom’s vintage glass jug - seeing it makes me feel they are close by

Spuds went down today. Had my 11 year old little helper that I pay to help me as I broke my back last year, she is an absolute delight to be around and makes me crave grandkids!! My husband would help but would sulk the whole time and take the fun and enjoyment out of gardening.

My mates joke that I use child labour, but I think £10 an hour for an 11 year old is pretty good, and I have given her own big pots of stuff as her own project at home. Feedback welcome on that! She lives a few doors up, I bought her gardening gloves and will pay for all plant food etc for the stuff I give her.

I bought my first bunch of daffodils this week and it’s not pitch black at 5pm anymore

Ok not technically “Spring” but starting off my crafty bits and painted a Valentine’s glass tonight

Been and gone:

Yet to come:
Snakeshead fritillary (my fave )

Apple, pear and cherry blossom

The leaves are unfurling on the tree this week! Yay!!

How much better does everything feel when the sun shines?? My house doesn’t look like a steamier because my washing has dried outside, I had bedding on the line just flapping around and it made me SO HAPPY!
There are daffs everywhere, in every room of my house, popping up outside…mini eggs….walks in the sun….i just bloody love it all!

So much new growth in just a week. There was only one daffodil last weekend now there's 15 so thankful for my moaning November bulb planting self and all the days spent chasing away the squirrels. Kids are out for the afternoon and husband has just asked if I want to go and look round the garden centre. Talk dirty to me baby. Yes I bloody well do!!! I want a couple of David Austin climbing roses

About my millionth post on this thread but first day in months I’ve been able to hang the washing outside! I actually had to take my coat off on a walk earlier because it was so warm in the sun and I bought some daffodils for the kitchen from the shop today. Mowed the lawn and planted my snapdragons too Spring is here, enjoy it everyone

Oohh what a lovely idea. I love spring. When you get up in the morning and can hear the birds already chirping away!!! The sun rising before 7am. The lighter evenings.

My boyfriend got me an indoor lily plant forValentine’s Day. It’s come out this week properly and it’s soooo pretty. Looks lovely in the kitchen window

The white chocolate one smells amazing also. And they had another little one that had messages on it for Mother’s Day it smelled like he smelled. Gonna get it for myself for Mother’s Day . Mother’s Day is also my birthday this year gutted.

Feel like today has been suchhhhh a lovely day. Been to the park and had some Ice cream. Then been in the garden all afternoon. Got my rattan furniture out with the cushions my solar lights in the tree , my little boy has been playing outside ALL weekend!! And my washing is blowing nicely in the wind! Got some ice lollies yesterday summer is officially here. Even just the smell of sun cream is heaven. My cat, dog and rabbits have been laying out in the sun on the decking . Ok I’m done now

Ooh this will be nice I’m really looking forward to spring this year! We’ve moved to Scotland so I’m looking forward to exploring! And seeing all the flowers blooming is really lifting my spirits!

It’s amazing how much better I feel when it’s a bright sunny day.

I like Spring when it’s warm because you can enjoy the sun and comfortable warmth before we get into the muggy summer.
