My kids know a little Mandarin as they were taught it in P.S and my sis-in-law is Chinese and my daughter is really good at speaking Spanish, but she's also brilliant at Maths, reads higher than her age as does her brother. They have formed lasting friendships from going to school, confidence in public speaking, understanding and a hell of a lot more that schools bring to children's lives.
