The King 🤮 makes me feel sick he’s our King, tampon head, I just watched the video of her and Paddington bless her 😢

I saw a tweet saying Northern Ireland were lighting fireworks, my oh family members from Belfast are coming to stay in a couple weeks I’ll be interested to see what they say about it

I’m glad I got to watch the moment he walked through the gates for the first time as King! (On tv not actually there 😅)

It must of been of great comfort to see such an outpouring of love for his mother and for him.

Agree it’s a shame about the phones it feels so intrusive and inappropriate. I’d rather have been present in that moment then watch the footage back afterwards.

The mobile phones stuck right in his face was so undignified and disrespectful. Noticed a security office push someone's phone down so it wasn't directly in King Charles' (how surreal to write that) face.

Does anyone else feel slightly uncomfortable with the 3 cheers for the king etc? It's been less than 24 hours since his beloved "mummy" died (as he often referred to her in speeches), and it just seems a bit odd to be whooping and cheering for him.
YES this, I felt so uncomfortable watching them cheer for the king and shout God Save The King - it seems so wrong and disrespectful I had to switch it off!

Seeing people with their phones practically in his face made me feel very uncomfortable. I'd have wanted to lamp them to be honest. It just feels disrespectful
Yes I found it so rude and uncomfortable to watch but it seems to be the norm these days people shoving phones in peoples faces rather than actually enjoying meeting them !
We had Princess Anne come to visit our workplace and I was shocked at the amount of people with phones out the whole time like it was a sea of phones rather than people and that was a few years back when phones weren’t such a big thing.
On a side note we went to see Coldplay at Wembley last month and for one of the songs he asks people to put their phones away and just connect with the moment but people still had to film it 🙄🤣

Can confirm this is true.
England may be in mourning, but for many in Northern Ireland it is very much a celebration.

Idk but I wouldn't think so as they're of a different generation to the queen and not so closely tied to the previous traditions and protocols.

That's a bit silly, isn't it - the queen wasn't exactly without flaws but surely her death doesn't change what's at the core of many conflicts, the monarchy... So even if you're an outspoken anti-royalist, what's there to celebrate, exactly?

Kevin Bridges also made some “jokes” that were in poor taste at his show last night.

I don’t understand the mentality? Just say nothing if you didn’t like her!

wondering if I'll see Charles in the future as king,I hope so. Seen him twice by accident when he's been on engagements :D

I mean they’re not quite celebrating a death of a hated terrorist I’d agree and maybe the fireworks are maybe too much but the hate for Queen goes back, they massively dislike her in certain parts of Northern Ireland. Last time my partners family came down he said to me not to mention her to them (not that I would) but they will all be celebrating and have their Irish flags hung out in certain areas I’m sure

Why should nothing be said?! Jokes may be in poor taste, but surely freedom of speech is allowed.
Yes, but the monarchy is still going strong. :D
Not in NI it seems!

Exactly - it's more so what she stands for and is associated with.

I'm astounded how brazenly the public were filming up his nose ☹ All for the 'gram. Also don't agree with the woman who kissed his face, it's crossing his personal space. Just shake the man's hand and smile or nod, for goodness sake.
