Nice to see one of the gang can get out of their pit early. Ryan's village walk around, check out the time on the church clock and another above a shop door.
Have just watched his short video... and unfortunately, I read the comments...
So obvious that the majority of the posters are Americans and have zero clue of what France is.
They are all surprised that this tiny village is deserted. This is (very) rural France - as all these vloggers' videos are about. Younger people don't live there. They live in bigger towns or cities (where the work and the infrastructures like hospitals and schools are).
These villages are all clean and quaint like all towns and cities in France. That's the result of quite high local taxes.
These tiny and rural villages are mainly unhabited by pensioners, older people.
If some younger people live in these small villages, they are at their workplace somewhere in the next bigger town or working from home... but not in the streets of a village with no shop, no bakery, nothing !
Rant over ;)

I have driven through a few (in the days when we were allowed to) I always felt charmed by the slow pace of life and as you say older generations.
My French is only passable when I try to buy something in a shop, but I was met with patience and generally a smile or two.
I much prefer smaller villages to Paris itself.

Just watched Ryan's latest vlog... Poor guy, obliged to take a shower with no curtain... in a room with 1 double bed obviously for a couple. What a great traveler/adventurer he is ! He should try to be a war reporter...
His videos are worse and worse.
Not only he's travelling in a middle of a pandemic (and all the comments saying "How strange these villages and towns in France are so empty" (!!) but he tells his (few) viewers to "seek help" if they are not happy with "his opinions" !! Wow.

Does anyone else find the ‘trotters’ Chateau cold and an unfriendly house? It’s too clinical and dark for me. Cannot imagine sitting round cosy, by an open fire, just watching tv and chilling out any dark cold night in any of the rooms we’ve seen! Do they have separate ‘living area/space/rooms’ - other than those shown on their vlogs.
Where do all the ‘Trotters’ live, sleep, cook, eat etc., etc.? Thought Pa T doing up another separate part of the Chateau for them, but seems to be on hold because of MPK’s kitchen and Aga-saga!
I've always found their chateau unfriendly - to say the least. I suppose they are trying to copy the British old stately houses' style ? Or to copy a "neo Renaissance style". Both way it's awful and (very) cold.

Shady is off on her travels again - clearly prefers more upmarket accommodation than Ryan. Like her brother, life is sweeter when someone else pays. I'm a little concerned that she appears to have forgotten her hat - how will she manage to beg to pay her hotel bill if she can't put her hat down for a collection?

But he said he was single in his live chat ha ha the ring is in his right hand though so hidden meaning ?
I don't follow him on Instagram and hardly watch his videos now.

I guess it's only attention seeking. Taking a selfie so close and to make sure everybody can see this "ring".

Not worth a comment. Sorry MP.

Ryan is now a self proclaimed AirBnB TripAdvisor specialist.

Once again, in his latest video (I could only watch the very first minutes), he's giving his opinion and his rating for an AirBnB he found somewhere in the deep French countryside in the middle of nowhere - and in the middle of a pandemic (!).

This time, Mr Ryan is sooooo happy. Because last AirBnB was not great for Mr Ryan : he demolished the owners' reputation on his YT video... because the shower didn't have a curtain !

And for those of us, viewers, not happy with "his opinions", his advice was to "seek help" (written on the screen in case you didn't understand).

But this time, it is different : Mr Ryan is happy with his bargain. And the bathroom is up to his taste. Yupeeeee ! Lucky owners.

I stopped watching when he said that translating french to english is not all the time easy and you have to know "very well" both languages...

Does he read Tattle ? ;)
😂

I should stop checking his vlogs !

Of course he reads tattle... :ROFLMAO: ;):m

Mr. Ryan is getting entirely too cocky...he's gonna piss off a LOT of B&B owners pretty soon and they just might retaliate!

Life of Ryan, should be renamed Boring Life....I know French villages are quaint, some very pretty, but that's it........ I'm still trying to fathom out why he spent so much time admiring clothes/shoe shops in Bordeaux, when a few minutes walk and he could have filmed so much more. Would it inspire me to visit? Not on your Nelly.....I know how much there is too see, watch the world go by, in such a small area.....shame on you Ryan, you could have done much better.....0/10 for effort and content.

Well, hopefully someone will bring them to their attention.
I tried to find the AirBnB with the controversial shower (with no curtain) on the AirBnB website. Impossible to find it. Mystery.

As some people told him in the comments, it should have been possible to see the pictures of the apartment and read the reviews before booking it.

And he should have told the owners for the hot water problem (in these old building, it's often a problem of main tap or boiler etc).

I found it !

Actually, it's NOT an AirBnB, as Ryan said.

It's part of a "hotel" made of 2 accommodations : a studio (where they were) and a duplex.

The reviews (by French customers) are all excellent.

It seems that only Ryan had a problem with the shower and the hot water. Hmmmm I wonder....

More photos of their studio.

He can not say he didn't know. Everything is explained.
