If it was a straight man who would not let his wife go up to the check in desk with him, making her walk around the gift shop or sit meekly in the lobby! Or make her leave back a packet of sweets. Or berate her looks. People would leave a women’s aid number under the videos.

that’s what their relationship is, I think the affection that is shown is for the camera. Otherwise it’s a convenient relationship for financial reasons (as stated by then) and to keep costs low when traveling (costs more to travel as a single person )

But they are chasing a status that is hard to maintain. They don't realise the luxury it is to be able to book a holiday at any time of the year so have more reward flight options. But they are still miserable everywhere they go. They have deep rooted issues that they need to fix.
