Dental Hygienist here who works in Ortho - that’s not Invisalign, it’s too thick. I’d say he’s had a fixed palatal expander removed and this is an essix retainer to hold the expansion. It doesn’t look very well made to be honest, unless he’s completely undisciplined wearing it!
