Funny she had “forgotten” her glasses borefest now the spec savers money has rolled in.

I think all those Fridays glasses stories should have been tagged with ad etc, she knew what she was doing

They are such a wet pair. She’s claiming they can’t finish it because they’re going on holiday, but didn’t they take a holiday last month to try and finish their DIY?

She’s not exactly pumping out content unless you count the weird silent self-videos of her walking down the street, so it’s not like work is that busy.

I’m convinced she’s deeply unhappy as an influencer but can’t see any other way to make the same wage & perks.

SO MANY QUESTIONS. Let me but name a few:

- What deadlines could she have other than taking pictures for brand partnerships? Everything else she does is self directed and thus the deadlines
self imposed? OR IS SHE SECRETLY WORKING AS A HIGH LEVEL POLITICAL OPERATIVE AND TRYING TO THROW US OFF THE SCENT WITH THE MATCHSTICKS
- Why does she think posh pot noodles is a remarkable thing? Surely most of us are not cooking gourmet lunches during the working day? OR PERHAPS HER PEERS ALL HAVE CHEFS AND HOUSEKEEPERS TO SHES GOT THE LUNCHTIME FOMO?
- Who is paying for nursery? They’re looking at a bill of at least £2K a month at a very conservative estimate. AINT NO MATCHES THAT CAN PAY FOR THAT OR DO I NOT UNDERSTAND THE MATCH MARKET?
- Why would you paint your bathroom when you have deadlines? Or are the deadlines manufactured to make her feel more relatable? WHY IS SHE PAINTING THE BATHROOM WHEN THE TILES THE TILES SWEET MARY THE TILES?
- I don’t even know what to ask about the living room because I can’t even find the words but what please someone tell me WHAT can they be up to with this rotating nightmare?
- Why am I pondering these questions when I have two packed lunches to make and a brief to write and a toilet to clean AND MY GLASSES TO POLISH?
Omg I love you, can you do a post like this on every thread pls? 😂

She must have some unresolved trauma re glasses. The constant repulsively smug faces she pulls in glasses related reels are just ridiculous. I would understand if she was a teenager but hasn’t she grown out of that angst and discomfort you feel in your teens? Hasn’t she got better, you know more adult things to worry about snd lead conversations on?

You know how in some countries it needs to be declared if an image has been photoshopped.

Imagine if every time influencers posted anything with a sustainability angle, it came with a similar disclaimer: ‘by the way, the very cornerstone of my lucrative career is encouraging unnecessary and excessive consumption so this post is blatant greenwashing. This particular post is my way of saying thank you to the brand so the flow of freebies in my direction continues, I really couldn’t give a fuck about the environment right now tbh’

I also don’t think the person’s intention was to criticise her style or state that minimal would be better. I genuinely know how visual
fatigue can affect someone’s mood and overall well-being, so maybe that was the starting point for the question considering she always complains about mess and stuff and being tired.

Oh how immature of her!

My god. Looks like there’s between 8-10 tiles left to lie. Why not on a bloody weekend? This one coming? Surely it would take Chris 8 hours maximum. They are so ridiculously annoying!! I painted my whole house including ceilings in about 6 days in total????

If you want a job doing, give it to a busy person...

It’s a dry day - why isn’t Chris out finishing the garden tiles? I don’t have kids but I can’t remember the last time I was in bed until 10!

The fact that her parents are still buying her expensive Christmas presents says a lot to me.

and her reply was so rude

She just comes across as weirdly angry with everything she does! I wonder if she is struggling and it's seeping into her "content". (I would struggle if I had so little purpose in my life tbh!)

I’m sure you guys share the horrified grimace my face makes when I accidentally start tapping through her glasses stories again
Yes!

On hiding the second storey of the extension I think it’s purely because it doesn’t tie in with her frugal angle and would expose them as the frauds they are. One minute they’re begging for free coffee, the next they’re spending tens of thousands on a double storey extension. Pair of grifters, nothing more nothing less.

I seem to recall in the distant past that she stated that they’d extended into the attic in their former flat and therefore managed to sell it for double what they paid for it..or something like that. Depending on how much that profit was they may not have needed too much from The Bank Of Mum & Dad to put towards their current home, if at all? 🤔
They wouldn’t have been able to get the flat or do the original work without mum & dad, tho? Who is giving someone on £18k a year a mortgage in London, or a £40/50k loan for a roof conversion?

On that salary she’s still have a student loan, which never gets mentioned. So someone likely supporter her through university.
She’d still have credit card debt/bank loans from the internships she had to do to get into magazines. or someone supported her/provided a free bed while she did them

So much hidden wealth all over the place.
Agree so much. Also another thing to consider is if they’re being paid through a limited, that £30k each won’t be the same net sum as if you earnt it through a PAYE job. Obviously it won’t multiply it above but most directors take minimum wage (so she wouldn’t have to repay student loans) then the rest as dividends.

It’s so fucking shadey the whole thing. The visuals of it can be SO deceptive cos you see they’re in similar (or better) housing than you do you assume they’re living a similar lifestyle, having the same conversations about finances, like you assume they’re your peers trying to do it all from nursery to family holidays to savings & investments? And they’re not anywhere close! Talking of uni throw backs they’re the “friends” that encourage you to dip into your OD for a night out only for you to find out their parents repaid it over half term and you’re the mug stuck with yours!

For her the painting of the bathroom is work. She’s found a way to monetise just living her daily life
She’s hit the jackpot and needs to stop whining

I really struggle with this aspects of influencers & Alex is far from alone, they run a business account like they think it’s a personal one. The professional thing to do would have been to either ignore the question or just respond saying my style is max. Not have a dig 3 times in a short Q&A.
Completely agree and it just shows (yet again) what a bunch of chancers most of these influencers are. It’s feedback and in the vast majority of jobs you’re expected to listen to feedback, act professionally and above all not take it personally. Not in Alex’s world though.

After her post just now, a close of her dinner plate after she’d eaten her dinner is revolting. Who wants or needs to see that? It’s quite apparent that she is totally burnt out and bored with what she does but it pays the bills and allows them both to work part time. Need to provide content to keep up engagement, couldn’t be arsed to even try come up with anything remotely interesting, so here’s my dirty dinner plate.

And then spouts crap about wanting everything in her house, even down to the dish-cloths, to be ’chic’. Nothing ‘chic’ about that.

Ok so this is probably dorky and petty but has really pissed me off today. The postal museum “had a cute mail train” - it’s the feckin Mail Rail, Alex! You’ve just been to the whole museum and didn’t get it?! Sure, it’s open and rideable and fun for visitors but it’s SUCH a cool interesting part of London history. It was built in the 1920s! To move the Mail around in tiny underground tunnels - it’s SO fascinating (if you’re into that sort of stuff) - it’s not a bloody teddy bear funfair ride… ugh. A bit expensive…?! Yeah. It used to only be open once every few years as part of Open House or very specialist events and cost a LOT to restore and reopen!
Agreed! I went to the museum at the start of last year (before the world ended) and thought it was a fantastic museum and really well set up for families with small children. The little rail Mail train ride at the end was a fantastic way to finish it off. I don’t remember thinking it was any more expensive than equivalent attractions cost in London, and it sort of makes me a bit sad that she is giving a review purely on price.
