I think Jinger went from one controlling, narc headship to another. Jeremy knew exactly what he was doing and knew that marrying a Duggar girl was a great way to put him in the limelight. I very much think she's being used as a pawn to 'minister' (and bring in the dollars) for Jeremy's Church. Even her physical appearance/style changed a lot post marriage and she looked very uncomfortable in the initial photos. I think he wanted her to be a trophy wife, he would eat himself if he could.

I wonder if Jeremy actually wrote the book. Not Jinger. I just don't see how it would be possible for someone with her kind of "homeschooling" to be able to write on that level.

I also saw Jinger on FOX news. The interview was very short and the interviewer looked uncomfortable. (IMO). The interview seemed a promo for Jeremy's church under the guise of her re-evaluating her religious beliefs. Something about it just didn't sit right with me.

I think she has been, and is still being, groomed by Jeremy to be the perfect minister's wife. I also wonder how he treats her behind the scenes.

To be fair the writing level will be down to an editor and I think she co wrote the book. When reading it I did think Jeremy sounded like a nice lad and it was more of a book about bill gothard slander rather than how amazing Jeremy and his church is, it was hardly mentioned.
Haven’t watched any interviews though so that’s not to say the tour hasn’t sounded like a plug for him.
She did come across really anxious in the book so maybe she feels more comfortable talking about Jeremy and how great his church is than further expanding on her negative past that the book is mainly about

Actually, one of the first things that impressed me about Jeremy was how he enforced a 'six month no-contact with JB and Michelle' rule right after he and Jinger got married. He wanted time to establish their marriage privately. Good on him! He also showed he wasn't afraid of JB.

The thing is......Jinger is certainly in a better place than she was growing up in the BG cult but I think she is still in a highly controlled patriarchy and is expected to be the "perfect" minister's wife. I guess it's all relative.

I don't believe he did this to establish privacy, I think he wanted to isolate her away from them and indoctrinate her with his ways. I don't believe that the early pictures of Jinger in yoga pants and other NIKE outfits were from her heart - it was his way of giving JB the middle finger. Jeremy was/is JBs greatest nemesis, more so than Derrick. Derrick has Jill's best interest at heart, but I reckon Jeremy is even more power hungry than JB. Although she's in different clothes and leading a better lifestyle, I don't think she's any less controlled. She's making the $$$, not him. I fully believe he's behind her egging her on, under the guise of wanting to empower her and allowing her autonomy, but in reality he needs the lifestyle that a pretty, aesthetically pleasing Duggar girl can provide. There's no way he's going to be buying used and saving the difference, he's far too vain for that.

Just saw a video uploaded about 6 hours ago to YT. Not Katie Joy which was a relief. It's being reported that Josh is in solitary in that Federal prison because he was found with a phone. No definitive word on where he got the phone from but it is known that Anna was visiting him regularly with all the children and personally I'm suspicious that she smuggled it in, using one of the kids as the mule.

She is certainly brainwashed and brain dead enough to have done it if he told her to. She does after all consider, in line with IDLP doctrine, that his voice is an extension of god's authority over her and her children.

You can't brush curls, it will make it 10000000x worse. A lot of parents and people in general struggle with taking care of curls. My hair was always insane till I reached my 20s and figured it out. My mom had curls and still couldn't figure out my hair. Each person is different and it cost a ton to figure out what works. For the time being they have an easier time putting her wet hair into a protective hairstyle.

I have spiral ringlet curls that I was born with. A full head of them like bloody Shirley Temple and my hair never was matted with knots down to my scalp line like that child's is.

There are afro combs and curl creams and conditioners specifically designed to stop knotting and matting of curly hair now that were never available to my mother. Who lived in a 3 bedroom council house with five other kids and my Dad on shift work and her doing three nights a week as a barmaid- yet she managed.

The kid's personal grooming is being neglected and that's all there is to it. Mind you the kid was never kept safe from a filthy child molester so why I expect them to give a damn about combing her hair out, I don't know.

Congratulations that's not most people's experience at all. I guarantee your hair actually looked similar to hers when you were young and you don't remember. Even kids with straight hair have issues but they're able to comb it out. Almost every single student I've had needed their hair fixed after nap and recess. It's better if her hair is put in a protective style rather than down.
