Some of the witty comments on here will hopefully lift your spirits, which is part of the healing process. You are in the best place and the nurses will do their best to help you get well as soon as possible. Drug treatment for Covid are so much better now. Just laugh with us at the silly goings on at the chateau and let us know how you are. I had Covid in March 2020, but I was very lucky I did not need to be hospitalised, I was 69 too and very scared, but it was like flu and although I felt really unwell and the cough exhausting, I recovered within 10 days. I isolated myself from my husband as I have room to do that, Ironically I loved watching the Chateau Diaries while I was in bed. They were much better then and fun to watch. I hope you make a quick recovery, get home soon but do let us know how you are doing
I can't believe how a 46 year old would still allow herself to be told what to do by her mother or be afraid of her.
I can understand why Isabelle was cross about the plates and her pearls. They are her things . She had every right to be annoyed. It was stupid of Stephanie to let BJJ use the plates.
But really, what a strange mother/daughter relationship if Isabelle can decide who SJ dates. You bring a child up, you pick up the pieces when they make mistakes but at 46?? My sons are in their early 40s. They are grown men with their own lives. I still worry about them of course. I would not tell them what to do, though I give them advice if they ask for it or I see they need it . There is something very awry with SJ and Isabelle's relationship.
I actually liked this vlog too. I still can't see what toile has to do with Christmas, but the ornaments they made were lovely and I liked the pink theme.

I also absolutely love that almost every one who does work on their chateau is local. They are truly members of their community.

The fleuries need to get a swimmingpool for next summer. That will draw families to their B&B. Pools are equaliy important for summer rentals as rooms or gites.

For the moment a swimming pool is not as urgent, they are near the seaside, but it could be an additional bonus in future. And yes, I like Benoît and his son too, bonus: French! Do I want to become Patreon of the Fleuries? Still not sure, I don't like the begging, but at least they are quite transparent about what happens with the money, and I like what they want to do with the longhouses. So, they have quite a bonus points compared to SJ and her motley crew. The only thing which could be interesting: a Benoît vs. Amaury showdown.

No, the REAL question is - WHY THE duck- has she not sold: her London flat, the South of France Property,, the Property in South Africa- not the one mummy and perry are in now, the one DADDY owned.... why wouldn't you just be a NORMAL ASSHOLE and have the one place to live OR APPLIED TO THE GOVERNMENT and get a grant to restore the chapel roof, or it's interior? OR why hasn't she really made a go of running a really- why is it closed so much - why so little merch, why sooo many places for her, her friends and family but not a tit ton for guests? Why not go back to London and get A bleeping JOB for a year or two?
