17 hours agoI just watched the diy show and they announced that Philip and Stephanie are dating. I am thinking they've made a mistake about that. It's none of our business really but thought it was strange they stated that, I mean she could really be his mother and she doesn't seem the type to cross appropriate boundaries with the volunteers and staff especially ones 2 decades younger.

She explained their relationship on her Patron vlog this past week after C4 aired the episode this was said in. She confirmed they have been dating for about a year. It surprised many people, though others were seeing signs. I think she'd just like to get on with life and her vlogging and continue to keep her love life private.

I’m still in shock too. I’m a patron and never believed the stories here that they were an item. I feel really stupid and like SJ was taking the piss out of me and lying to me all this time. It’s made me see her in a new light. I had been really fond of her and always wanting to believe the best, and now I feel stupid for being so naieve.

Don't feel stupid. You were certainly not the only one falling into her traps. You should praise yourself for being one of the early birds in escaping. Let's hope many will follow!

Yes, just another example of wasting resources. Doing jobs over and over because they aren’t done correctly, paying people to sit around, focusing on the wrong priorities… Maybe she truly doesn’t understand the value of time and money because she’s never really needed to? Gotta say, when I was young, I saw a very good looking young man, I though "gorgeous, gay, moving on" ended up dating him - he treated me like a 'real gentleman" years later - he called my parents house demanding to know if I was the person trying to "out" him - I was married and liking 3000 miles away and hadn't thought about him in a decade - so no... that wasn't me - but.... where there is a whole lotta smoke....

I had a similar experience with my second exhusband. When I met him I thought he was gay, so did everyone else. He was quite the smart dresser, always perfectly groomed. He was, quite camp, very sarcastic and hilarious. When he asked me out I was astonished. He was very handsome and great company so I accepted. When I met his family I found out where the camp manner came from.. His beloved much older brother was gay and was his only male role model as their father was dead. My husband was definitely not gay and we had 10 happy years until he ran off with my best friend.

Could we discuss an aspect of this week's drama raised by a couple of Tattlers. The coincidence that both Potty & Nick at chateau for KABOOMgate - the ceiling collapse and dutch boyfriend outing? Potty arrived for a very lame Halloween party and stayed. Nic and family after Halloween. Is it school holidays in Belgium?
Is it possible a preliminary accounting report was provided?

I also want to add, when you consider the extreme lengths she has gone to in order to keep the relationship secret, involving other chateau owners, guests, volunteers, etc, in her deceit, you have to ask why? Why did she have to lie and hide her relationship from her audience - does she not trust them? Then why should we trust her? I think this was always about her image and her reputation, which she needs to keep intact to keep getting money. The amount of people who have defended her actions is bizarre - do they like being lied to, they are just enabling her.

I think it must have been exhausting to keep up that pretense. For what? It all comes out in the wash at some point. She says it was to keep that part of her life private, which I respect, but if that was truly the case, she didn't need to lie in the first place. All she needed to do was to avoid filming the bits where they supposedly went off to their separate sleeping quarters and simply not talk about it..that's all. When she did film those parts, all it did for me was raise suspicion that she was trying to hide something. Without being professionals paid to diagnose people, we've come to the conclusion that she has narcissistic tendencies. People with those traits have a profound need to control the narrative. People who defend her actions are enablers. Both are sad.
