Rather odd that Nati should be on the verge of tears and she certainly did appear so (unlike SJ's fake protests!) because Cat was leaving just for a couple of weeks and then returning. One was sitting on the other's knee by the pool; admittedly, there were only two chairs and Maria was in the other one. I did, however wonder if there was more to their relationship. Cat seemed very keen on both Hani and Mandy, when they were there. Cat may be more outspoken and confident but I think she may be quite needy underneath. I sometimes think SJ feels she is like a Bloomsbury woman, running a household of people with fluid sexual preferences and a Bohemian life, like Vanessa Bell. Vanessa had an affair with the gay, Duncan Grant, with her husband's knowledge. The affair produced a daughter who only found out that Duncan was her father many years later. V and D did not continue sleeping together but V remained in love with him and they lived in the same house until her death. The main difference, though, is that the Bloomsbury group were mostly intellectuals, had an interest in politics, and included some of the leading writers; artists; economists, and thinkers of their day. They also had good taste. La la land doesn't quite match up to that!

I agree she looked really old and frumpy - years older than Vivienne. Although Simon is a bit of a know all, V and S are clearly intelligent and experienced. BJJ looked clearly uncomfortable and out of place in the company of experienced adults. I enjoyed the vlog, the L da V galleries were really interesting although SJ didn't look particularly interested and was keen to sit down. It all looked a bit too much for the two "children" who were getting bored and wanted to get back to their playthings. I suspect SJ was cross as she didn't have the option to do that video and be the star!

I was thinking of exactly the same thing yesterday as I’m a massive Bloomsbury set fan and wonder if Fanny thinks of her setup as the same as Charleston Farmhouse. The big difference being that those folks were all either fiercely intellectual or extremely creatively talented . Not really the same as her crew. Not sure her chateau will still have 100s of visitors over a century later either.

But if that were the case why then has M..P. intimated in the past, when questioned on why he did not drive his response was, cost, time, needs to return to U.K. to pass test, etc. If the real reason he does not drive is due to a medical condition then he had the opportunity to state that, and viewers would not question why he relies on other to transport him.
Perhaps the new Boyfriend comes with Car and drives, but have my doubts.

It makes sense. Claim something is $14,000 when it’s actually $4000 and pocket what wasn’t used. This makes even more sense when she claims the Patreon money is only used on reno, bit of a workaround. She may be dumb, but she’s not stupid. I can’t imagine she gives accurate totals of what work is amounting to.

Not to mention, she can throw out any over inflated number on a project because we never actually see her talking numbers with contractors, unless it’s with Davy or something, I don’t know if I‘ve ever seen actual budget talk on her channel unless it’s a Patreon thing I’m missing.

If a contractor gives you a quote and comes in under budget, the remainder is their profit. Same thing in this situation.

That's part of the whole thrift shopping delusion: I will do this project with this. I remember following a well respected craft blogger whose early days were spent mainlining thrift shop baby clothes and what have you. She went every day, and spent $2 and brought home mountains of tit, only 1% of which she upcycled into quilts, tea sandwich caddies, children's clothes, etc. But the excuse for the addiction is you have a plan for each POS.

From my understanding of the patreon money and how she explained it in videos was if a target say for €10,000 was made, then a target for €12,000 was attributed to new doors or whatever, it is the €2000 difference that would be used to pay for the doors. Not doors that cost €12,000 over and above the original ten grand target. So if she reached an extra two grand coming in she could purchase her target with that. I don't know if I've explained that very well or if what I've taken from the patreon explanation is accurate but that was what I understood it to be...

Do people really believe MPK is/was emotionally involved with any of these men? I may be wrong, but my gut feeling is he parties with whichever trophy is available and the only reason he went home was to refill the piggy bank. The 'heartbreak' is just a role for the camera.

He is careful to say he was "in a relationship" with Gustavo, Inigo (?) and Andrew. That is the scam. It means I'm not using Patreon funds on prostitutes.

This is off topic but I found it interesting. This channel (Elysia Engish) has the same number of subscribers that SJ does 148k, SJ has more views on her videos (at least the few I glanced out). Elysia mentions making around $12k a month (what she actually says is google took out $4k in taxes and that is approx 1/3 of the total). That just blows my mind that a fairly small youtube channel makes that much money every month.

Looking at a list someone posted of recent patreon targets I also realised that about 70% of the targets were in no way renovations to aid in preserving the actual chateau building. They could either be classed as a decorative, unnecessary extravagances or desired items that would make Steph's personal surroundings more luxurious. Just barefaced greed. Which made my decision to stop contributing all the more warranted
